WoodSpring Suites Baton Rouge East I-12

My original hotel was cancelled due to a pipe leak and flooding that affected multiple rooms. It being a big LSU game weekend, there were limited options and this hotel seemed like the best option of what was presented to me by Expedia. While I liked the fact that the rooms entered from the interior of the building, I was a bit unnerved that the reception desk had a metal pull down screen. And there seemed to be a lot of children running around the property that gave the impression that there may be people using the hotel as a permanent residence. It did bother me that side doors into the stairwells were propped daily as I realized later most likely because the key entrance did not work at the side door. I would never intentionally book at this property for more than one night. The room was clean but definitely in need of some TLC. The bed only had sheets and a coverlet--glad I had a blanket in my car to bring in. There were no toiletries, hair dryer, nor iron in the room, so thankfully I came prepared. I have stayed in multiple no frills hotels but this is one hotel I felt a bit on guard and aware of my surroundings at all times.

This property was the worst. The employees was very unprofessional judgemental and very disrespectful to the customers. The actual property is unsanitary they have roaches they are false advertising all of their amenities. They do not offer any of the amenities that they advertise which was the reason I booked this hotel. I never would make a reservation here again

We had to get the front desk to open the door Everytime we left the room because our key wouldn't work

Tv was completely broken, remote was broken with the springs popping out, the refrigerator was rusted all down the side with mold a the bottom, there was only one small bath towel in the restroom, the microwave was cracked broken and unclean, there were thick splashed stains on the wood back microwave, no coffee pot or tea accessories for the amount asked, there were crumbs and trash under the fitted sheet, outside the fitted sheet had stains, around toilet had urine on the floor, cleaning supplies and old dirty rags were in the cabinet next to the fridge, two of the walls was completely dirty and dingy like splashed spots, the face of the night stand was torn off so it was pretty much a stripped wood-stand.

It was horrible. I wish they'd return me all my money for having to stay there. There's no ice machine. No coffee pot. No hair dryer. No breakfast. Hardly any water pressure. I cleaned my own room. There was a shooting across the street. There was a homeless man that was passed out drunk at the bottom of the stairs because people leave the back door open. There is nobody there from 11pm-7am be ause they're closed. They ran out of toilet paper. This was the worst experience I've ever had and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. My kids are traumatized and so am I. And there was what looked like bullet holes above our bed that had been painted over.

Everything was clean..bed was comfortable..but the a/c was broken..tv remote missing..but overall it was relaxing

I’m not one to write negative reviews. Upon getting to my room I noticed there was no health products like soap or shampoo you find at any other hotel. The carpets and pillows were stained. Checkin desk closes at 11pm which I’ve never seen a hotel do before and you have to call someone to come down if you need any assistance which could be an excess wait. I booked a room for 2, it was advertised as a queen bed and sofa bed, there was no sofa bed, just a small sofa that did not pull out. Decided to just roll with it as we were only there for the weekend and with the LSU game all hotels were really booked. Until a roach crawled next to me in the bed, immediately got up and checked out and made my way to another hotel. Overall, $225 for a weekend stay that does NOT look like the photos and is in such terrible condition is robbery.

Don't do it! Run away!!! Roaches, smells, carpet felt wet, no hot water, awful. Asked for a non smoking room but the cigarette smell had my asthma kicking so bad I had to use my inhaler. It was so bad we left after 2 hours. When I went to turn in the keys , nobody came out. I used the phone and nobody ever came. The back door was propped open with the luggage cart, so we had to make 2 trips.It was one of the worst places I have ever stayed or should I say almost stayed. I couldn't even ask anyone for a refund because there was nobody there.

I work nights they don’t open the front desk till 7:00 but nobody shows up till 11 or 12 also the person on call took a hour to show up to the desk so I could get a key made

The room is so dirty and cockroaches crawling around by kitchen sink !! The floor is so filty !!!

The first room that was given to me the beds were not made and they were sitting on chairs, the floor had a big red spot on the floor that looked like blood, the second room the refrigerator were rusted very bad, the room had a very bad smell, the toilet when you flush it made a whistle sound, the shower wasn’t cleaned, and the water wouldn’t get hot, for the amount of money that they charged people, the property should look better I would not recommend this place to anyone 😡😡😡

I’m writing to formally file a complaint and request a full refund for my reservation at WoodSpring Suites Baton Rouge, booked through Expedia for one night. I checked in well after midnight and what I encountered was completely unacceptable. The room was unsafe, unsanitary, and absolutely unfit for any guest. The floor was sticky, there were multiple large dead cockroaches, and none of the light switches worked. The room smelled horrific—like a mix of mildew, old cigarettes, and the dead. The sheets didn’t appear clean, and I genuinely feared for my health. I seriously wondered if the bedding might have lice or scabies. I honestly would have felt safer sleeping in my rental car, and ultimately, that’s what I nearly had to do. To make matters worse, when I returned to the front desk to report the issues, the woman there said, “I had a feeling you’d be back,” suggesting the staff knowingly check guests into rooms in that condition. That level of negligence is completely unacceptable. I immediately left and had to drive around Baton Rouge searching for an alternative hotel. Most places were already fully booked, turning this into a stressful, exhausting, and completely avoidable ordeal. This was the worst hotel experience of my life. I did not stay, and I am demanding a full refund. I also strongly urge Expedia to reconsider listing this property, as it presents a clear health and safety risk to customers.

Dirty underwear in bathroom with bugs on it. Roaches in shower. Hair on the bed. Disgusting

Upon arriving, the front desk worker wasn't present (was literally gone), had to wait about 10 minutes to check in. The first room I was given was very poor in quality. It was very dirty and smelled terrible, wish I got a video but it was so bad I immediately ran out. Tried to reenter for video proof but the key malfunctioned. Was given a second room which I could not enter due to faulty room keys and door. The third room ok but still bad. Beds has no pillows. The sheets on the beds were dirty and had stains and hairs on them. The hotel room was also infested with roaches. The room smelled as well. I think the room got me a bit sick.

This hotel was disgusting!! Cockroaches in the bathroom, near the bed and by the kitchenette. The room smelled like mildew and marijuana. The bedding was dirty and stained. I did not stay!

It was worth the money. We stayed one night but the bed was comfortable and wasnt any people standing around. I had read some reviews and almost didnt rent because of them im glad i went with my gut feeling. There was nothing wrong with this hotel and definitely worth the money

Room 317: I was devastated! I have never been so disappointed and stressed by the conditions of this facility. Smokers everywhere! We couldn’t get a key to get into our room because the office had been accidentally locked and the computer system was down as well! The clerk tried her best to assist, but nothing made up for the conditions we found. No window curtains, only 2 sheets and no blankets on the bed. The pillows were pancakes. The toilet had not been cleaned, only flushed. Noises all night, constantly drowned by interstate traffic. The sofa bed didn’t work (because it was not a bed at all) My daughter made the reservation because I had exceeded my limit for traveling by car. Being in the hospitality industry as well, this was quite alarming! We couldn’t leave our hotel room because we didn’t have a key to the room. Because of the lateness of the hour, we had no alternative but to stay until morning. I am left with no option but to request a refund due to the conditions we experienced. No guest should have to endure conditions of this magnitude (short term or not). Please forward the refund to the card on file at your earliest convenience. I am from Atlanta, Georgia and I would not want my business name of Woodspring Suites associated with this facility! Sincerely, M. Johnson

Outdated furniture in rooms.

THE HOTEL NEEDS TO BE RENOVATED. OUR REFRIGERATOR LOOKED LIKE IT NEEDED TO BE CLEANED. YOU COULD SMELL THE FOOD COOKING FROM DOWN THE HALL AND IT SMELLED UP THE WHOLE AREA. WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY PILLOWS ON OUR BED SO WE HAD TO ASK FOR SOME. WE ALSO DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH TOWELS SO WE HAD TO ASK FOR MORE OF THOSE TOO. OVERALL THE HOTEL LOOKED LIKE IT WAS IN BAD SHAPE.

Carpet looked bad.

No one was available at the front desk, it was closed and there was a phone to dial I kept trying 30’mins no one picked the call. Had to go to another hotel. Please refund me my amount

I was going to gove this place 4 stars, because as soon as I arrived I was greeted by a very helpful front desk lady. She had an answer for every question and was extremely helpful. But after a few days I didn't see her, and when I had card trouble after hours I was greeted by another woman who treated me as if I'm inconveniecing her time with my card not reading. I was left in the lobby for almost a full hour before I heard loud banging on the wall. It was kind of surprising to find her now at the front desk, barely awake, asking me rudely what room I was in. After that, I was also checked out early for some reason as A cleaning staff came into my room around 9 telling me I should have left already, saying something about my reservation ending the night before when My expedia account said otherwise. All in all, I was fine with my stay here, but after being treated the way I was at the end I was left with an awful taste in my mouth.

Nothing. The worker was rude. Stood in lobby for 30 minutes before she waited on us. Would not help

We arrived at 11pm and there was no one in the lobby/office to check us in. They wanted us to wait for 45 mins until a staff comes and give us the door card. We ended up not staying thenights

I waited for 3 hours to check in at this establishment and no one was there. This was very unprofessional and I will never be staying here. Thank you to Expedia for finding me somewhere else to stay when they were not accommodating and while other people at the establishment were also having issues and couldn’t be helped either I hope they were able to end up getting helped.

The staff was remarkably supportive I needed a plug in for my iPhone and Bre at the front desk let me use her personal one, that’s just one of the many ways there staff was helpful

This has been the worst experience I have had with reserveing a room. I made a reservation through Expedia where I paid for a room that was advertised as being available ahead of time with my debt card at Woodsprings and when I arrived to the property I couldn't not find the front desk when I finally did there was not anyone available at the desk so I called the number and was put on hold for a very long time before someone finally arrived with our any greeting to let me know she was there once I figured it out the woman child that was working asked me what I had wanted with the worst attitude as she wiped the sleep out of her eyes. She proceeded to tell me that she sees my reservation but she ain't got no rooms available and treated me as thought it was my falt & as I calmly try to get more info from her on what I should do she said she dont know its not her problem to call the number so my comment was I was not happy with the situation & that this was my last little bit of money & I had no where else to go she responded sorry good bye. & now Im being told by the agent that I may not be able to get a refund because I didnt pay for insurance & that if I do I may have to wait 7 day. They couldnt even offer me another room at another place nearby like I asked. & to top it all they sent me a message asking me how my stay was & to give them a rating. So here you go thats my review. All around horrible experience I will never book through Expedia again or Woodsprings Hotels

This hotel needs to be closed down. From the roaches crawling, no towels, tissue, weed smoke in the non smoking hallway. Prostitution, dogs barking, fire alarm going off in the middle of the night. The front desk works attitudes just NASTY. No ice machine. I booked a smoking room and had to get non smoking. What’s the point in a reservation if what I booked and requested CANT be granted… When you tell front desk they just laugh and say they can’t do nun about it or we dnt have it waiting on a delivery.. this motel is a negative 5 stars… ILL NEVER BOOK WITH YALL AGAIN

When we got there, the hotel looked to be in a dangerous area. I asked the desk clerk if it was safe and he stated “ I stay here, and it is perfectly safe for me and my pistol”. The main hall smelled very strong of marijuana, and when we got into the elevator, it was full of marijuana smoke. We looked at the room that we were given. And the door wouldn’t even latch. we canceled that reservation and found another hotel in Prairieville that was a lot safer and 10 times cleaner.

I did not stay here due to the atmosphere kids laying and running up and down the hallway as if it was a playground and suspicious activity men looking creepy

Very noisy and felt very unsafe.

The property is very very clean and it is convenient for transportation and shopping.

Parked in the front when arriving and there were already police at the front of the door, knew right then and there I was not getting anywhere near this place.

Feel very unsafe people just wondering out the building around the cars, rooms very dirty smelly and roaches crawling on the bed toilet didnt flush worst hotel ever for the price.
