The waterfall that's pictured as the profile picture for this hotel was completely drained. The two free drinks that were supposed to be daily were only offered on Fridays. The "bar" and "restaurant" that were advertised did not exist. The "bar" was the happy hour from 5-6 on Fridays, and there was no restaurant; they said it was now closed. Even though there was an advertisement in the room that said the restaurant was open daily. Overall, horrible experience. We thought the convenience of having a restaurant in the hotel would make up for not being in town, and then it was the opposite, with there not even being a restaurant as falsely advertised.

The hotel room itself smelled bad, like mould maybe? Or old rug. And the property was advertised with beautiful fountain pools all running, and they were empty. So perhaps the photos were old because it did not look like it did in the photos. It makes for a Bigger expectations. But the pool was nice and relaxing. The hot tub was not hot at all it was another cool pool. Other than that everything else was fine.

Elevators were undergoing repairs but we were never notified. Only option we were given was a 4th floor room and when asked for a room on a lower level we were told that the the 4th floor was the only option even though the parking lot was had few vehicles in it.

Check-in was a breeze because the hotel had texted us earlier to supply the customary information. One disappointment was that we were registered for a third floor room, but the elevator was out of commission. Which meant lugging our stuff up 3 floors. The desk clerk offered to help, and my macho self could not accept. We did not have so much stuff anyway. Tomorrow the hotel will move us to a room on the first floor.

This was such a disappointing stay. The pool was not available for use and was filthy. The elevator inspection was 2 years past expired and a temporary inspection that was a year old. The continental breakfast didn’t even include hot foods like eggs and bacon. And the carpet in my room was stained to high heaven. I won’t stay here again.

Pros: The location is incredibly convenient, nestled next to the I-280 at De Anza. Staff were pleasant and helpful, especially when we needed to change rooms from the third floor to the ground floor to minimize walking. Inexpensive nightly rate. All areas are clean, except for the carpet. Cons: The building feels old. Stained carpet in the lounge area (where breakfast is served), elevator out of service. Fountain and pond look unkempt. Breakfast consisted of coffee, juice, boiled eggs, breads and cut fruit, with some boxed cereals and yogurt, together with single-serve packets of peanut butter and cream cheese. No bagels to go with the cream cheese, and neither of the two toasters worked, so no toast. Summary: I would stay again, with appropriately moderated expectations, but this is not a place to invite or entertain family/friends.

My recent stay at the Cupertino Hotel fell short of expectations. The check-in process was average, but it was concerning to be required to sign a document prohibiting in-room parties. Upon arrival, the advertised property condition did not match our experience. The hotel appeared noticeably different from the online photos. Additionally, our initial room assignment on the second floor presented a significant challenge, as the hotel lacked elevator access. This proved particularly inconvenient with luggage and for my parents. Unfortunately, the room itself had further issues. There was a leak in the ceiling, originating from the toilet above. The color of the leaking liquid strongly suggested a sewage leak, which raised serious health concerns. Given the potential health risk and lack of rooms with elevator access, my family and I felt we needed to check out immediately. We informed the front desk about the leak but were only offered a room on the third floor, again with no elevator access. This was not an acceptable solution for us. Unfortunately, both the Cupertino Hotel and Hotels.com have denied a refund due to the non-refundable nature of the booking. While I understand the non-refundable booking policy, the significant discrepancies between the advertised property and the actual experience, coupled with the potential health hazard, warrant a resolution.

The place was not as clean as it usually is. My room had stained box spring covers, my rug was not vacuumed, outside room 128 and 129 had trash around it, the concrete looked like something had been spilled on it and no one clean it the whole time I was there. I checked in for a 5 night stay. My schedule was changing so I asked about cutting my stay short by one night. I was told I had to call Expedia. But when I called Expedia, they said I had to speak to reservations at the hotel. Of course reservations wasn't in on Sunday. They were gone when I returned to the hotel after work on Monday. On Tuesday, the desk clerk suggested emailing reservations. I did. No response. On Wednesday I tried calling. It went to voice mail and the mailbox was full. I tried again. They disconnected me. Finally got through on the third call. I was told yes I could check out but they'd charge me $75. This was news to me. And there was zero flexibility. The room itself was okay. They provide a coffee maker and enough coffee for one cup of coffee or no cups at all when housekeeping ignores the coffee machine. Housekeeping, may or may not remember to leave a bath mat in the bathroom too. There is a very limited breakfast that is supposed to be served at 6:30am but in reality, 6:30 is when they start setting up. Overall it was simply not a good experience and there are two many other options for me to ever stay there again.

My poor review is simply for the management at this property - not against Expedia. Upon waking in my room the morning after my stay, I had a sore throat and terrible headache. While in the bathroom that morning, I noticed a considerable amount of black mold near the bathroom sink - which I failed to notice the night before (I was extremely tired after working a 14 hour day). I immediately called the front desk to notify them of the health and safety concern, and their manager stated they wouldn’t provide me a discount or refund as I failed to notice the black mold when entering the room the night before. The staff was extremely dismissive of this legitimate health concern, so I reached out to Expedia and reported it to them. The customer service representative was extremely helpful and reached out to the hotel manager, who continued to be dismissive towards her as well.

Extremely dirty carpeting, mold in bathroom. Housekeeping did come around until after 3:00 pm or later. Plates and drinks containers not picked up. Chilled water dispenser was not chilled as advertised on unit. Top of the trash containers in the dining room had food all over the top.

After a two hour commute, we dropped off our bags in the king suite room and my partner went to use our bathroom. She came out disappointed and told me that an ant started crawling up her leg. She than told me she saw a good amount in the bathtub. A quick glance within the bathroom there were a large group of ants in the bathtub walking around a previous guest hair strands along the walls and the shower handle. While disgusted by the room’s conditions we were in a rush so we felt like we could deal with the issue later on in the night or we could switch rooms Once we came back to the room after socializing with friends. (Coming back to the hotel around 11pm) We didn’t want to take a downgrade in room in terms of size so we took the effort to kill all the ants and clean up what we could. This effort took a good 20 minutes for us to become our own amateur exterminators. We ate in the front room and then took a shower in the semi clean bathroom. Noticing the ants were still coming from either below the tub or under the ground. We were disgusted but we did not want to complain. What led to this post was when I was checking out, I showed the video of the ant colony and dirty tub to the check out host. The front desk didn’t really seem to care, just told me “I will tell house cleaning” then thanked me for my stay. Not really concerned about the Ant Farm. This was my go to hotel when I visited the Sunnyvale/Hotel Area. Unsure if this will remain my stable hotel

The hotel is right by the freeway, which is a convenient location. I wouldn't say I like the hotel because it needs a major renovation. The carpet in the room needs washing and cleaning, ac in the room is super loud, the bed squeaks, and the bathroom is outdated.

The carpet is dirty and worn, with wrinkles that become a tripping hazard. Lights in the room are out of reach. You have to get out of bed to turn the bedside light on. I don't know how this place would be rated as a 4-star hotel. I've stayed in 2-star hotels that are nicer.

Love the room. It takes a LONG TIME to get hot water in the room. Recommend you leave shower running for 10 min in some cases. The inner courtyard was a mess this time around. Not that I go out there, but concerned about the maintenance.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Philip especially as he arranged for a microwave to be placed in the room after apologizing that there was not single microwave on the premises. Due to renovations, elevators were not available during check-in and check out. No VIP perks and the hotel did not look much like the pictures. Not a 4 star hotel

Horrible, rude, unprofessional service by the young lady working the front desk during the day on 11/25. I'm in a huge rush, she knows it, and she won't let me take the the key after checking me in, literally yanking it away from me, saying that she has to tell me some information first. I tell her I don't need the information about breakfast times because I'm in a huge rush, and she says, "Well don't go asking me about it later then". Very unfriendly and unhelpful demeanor, couldn't have worse customer service.

Hotel feels dated, television in the happy hour lounge did not work, and there was someone else’s food in my fridge when I checked in. Also had to chase them down to get my room cleaned at 5p after being gone all day. Felt like they were going through the motions.

My stay was good, the staff was very professional and engaging. My room was clean and met my needs. Hotel is getting dated, carpets throughout are worn, elevator in lobby has been broken for months. Location meets my needs, and the special rate made this work for this trip. If you are not picky and need a nice, clean room, I would tell you to check out the Cupertino Hotel.

The place was definitely better than I expected. The only issue was breakfast, it’s advertised as being available during certain hours, but in reality, once they run out, they don’t restock. They should consider making it first come, first served to set the right expectation. Other than that, the whole place was very reasonable.

The breakfast is nothing specially compared to what it used to be. It now only has coffee and a few danishes. No more made to order omelet and no large spread of fruits, breads, other breakfast items, juices, etc. The tub faucet was leaking, actually running. We told the management as soon as we got into the room. We told them several times during our week long stay and they never fixed it. Can you imagine how much water has been wasted during this time?! The 5-6p happy hour says beer and wine but is only beer. It used to be beer, wine, and mixed drinks and have light appetizers. What has happened?! This used to be our favorite hotel in Cupertino...use to be well worth the money but when management doesn't send someone to fix a leaking faucet for a week and all the extra perks have gone downhill it is pretty disappointing...

My husband and I stayed here for seven days. It was a relaxing experience in comfortable, reasonably clean accommodation with a heated pool and hot tub. Best part was its convenient location, very close to Safeway, Chipotle and some nice stores. The room was clean and tidy. The staff was friendly and always served with a smile. The continental breakfast was reasonable if I ignore the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and vegetarian protein options. It offered white and brown bread, assorted muffins, fruits, boiled and scrambled eggs, sausage, potato capsicum mix, yogurt and cereals. Coffee was available 24x7, though it was hot only during the early hours. The "happy hour" was a nice touch; beer, wine, coke and sprite were available. The facility requires renovation and attentive maintenance. Housekeeping staff should be more careful while doing their job. However, I have to mention that not all housekeeping staff was careless, some days the job was well done. Tip: Let the front desk know in advance if you need daily cleaning. Check the temperature control of the room and availability of toiletries in the bathroom.
