Lovely quiet, comfortable older motel. We traveled with another couple and both of us were very pleased. It was too cold to use the pool, but the hot tub was great! We loved being walking distance of a great market and the Jack London Saloon (we ate there 3 times 😊)

Bruce has been working the front desk for many years and is always courteous. Ive stayed here many times when in Sonoma and it is perfect. The location, hot tub, saloon are all perfect. Add in the wooded environment and you have a customer for life.

This Lodge has beautiful grounds and pool! The room;s furnishings were a little outdated but the cleanliness was perfection. We were on the first floor and room was very quiet and comfortable.

Really loved the area and the proximity to the state park and great little market and cafe. The Saloon was fantastic for dinner. The building itself is desperately in need of some upkeep, and the bedding was stained in both beds in our room. There was also really loud construction noise before 8am the second morning of our stay.

Overall we very much enjoyed our stay at the Jack London Lodge. Pluses - The area was adorable and you could walk to several restaurants and two different markets. Numerous lovely wineries all within a few miles. Parks for hiking were only a 5 minute drive. The pools was perfect. The grounds were adorable. The room was spacious and our bathroom was large and appeared recently remodeled. Negatives - we could clearly hear every move made from the room above us and the floors of our room were filthy. From the time I walked out of the shower, got dressed, and put my flip flops on the bottom of my feet were black with dirt. It was pretty off putting especially since the room appears to have been recently updated and everything else was very clean.

Clean, decent sized room, comfortable bed. Two comfortable easy chairs in the room. With average reviews of 9 out of 10 I think I expected more. I was surprised the coffee maker was a Keurig machine. No way to heat water. What about people who want to drink tea? No microwave, a small fridge that was humming all night long. Convenient parking - it's a motel. Old school, a real key to enter the room. No automatic closing of the door and you have to make sure that you lock it as you leave. Very friendly reception. No safe in the room. One measly miniature bar of soap.

The room is updated with a nice bathroom and tub shower. Bed was comfortable and had excellent sheets and linens. There are two comfortable sitting chairs in the room. The location is excellent with several places to eat within easy walking distance.

The property was a basic older motel with some nice upgrades. The room was adequate size but only had a bench to sit on other than the bed. Nice space for hanging clothes, etc. The bath/shower was upgraded, but there was only luke warm water when I showered. My spouse had hot water the next day. The weather was cold and rainy, so we didn't have a chance to explore the pool/spa area.

Outstanding location. Very easy parking. Room was clean and well equipped and the bed was new and very comfortable. Very nice pool area. The rooms need some updating however. Door security was terrible. The door knobs are the ancient, low security type. They are the classic type that can be sprung with any credit card. The little table where we ate breakfast was falling apart so that it would not stand up straight. The shower control handle was falling off. The latch on the shower window was missing.

Lena was so helpful when I had to cancel due to jury duty but then was able to reschedule. Loved getting to meet her. The location is fabulous and it is quiet. A few minor things in room needed to be fixed (bathroom sconces, door on armoire, safe). Amenities were sufficient and loved proximity to market, patisserie, restaurants, parks. Pillows were too thick for our liking but understand not everyone likes flat pillows like us. I noticed other rooms had a chest of drawers, ours did not which I would have liked but not a big issue being there just a few days. There was some dust in high and low spots and a few hairs in bathroom but overall place is clean, bright, quiet, reasonably priced! Staff was welcoming.

The only thing that REALLY bothered me was that I had a do not disturb sign on my door, but the staff entered my room anyway, while I was gone. I contacted management about the breach. They have not been responsive. The management and the rules at this establishment were rude and blunt. The sundries provided were little 25 cent tubes for shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer. Coffee was Costco Kirkland Brand.

This property is quite the throwback in all of the right ways. We stayed in one of the older rooms, and it was fine. But I have a feeling the newer, renovated rooms are much nicer. It’s quiet, no matter what time of day. Kim at the front desk is a saint. Amazingly patient, friendly, and welcoming. It was too chilly to try out the pool, but the hot tub was hot and spacious. The surrounding gardens are beautiful, right next to the creek. Glen Ellen itself is a magical place I could see myself retiring to. Literally every single person we met was so incredibly nice! Plus you are near such a plethora of wineries. Make sure to try Benziger, which is just four minutes down the road. Beautiful inside, run by a wonderful family. We enjoyed speaking to Jim and learning about the wines and the owners’ biodynamic approach to creating excellent wine while still retaining the integrity of the land. Eat at the Fig Café. You will not be disappointed! And be sure to enjoy a cocktail at the Jack London Saloon. Such a cast of characters, and bonus, you can shoot pool. Plus, they are open till midnight.

The place was clean and appeared updated in the bathroom. The bed was pretty comfortable and there were plenty of towels and pillows provided. The heater worked well in the chill evening. We stayed one night, so it did it's job. Front desk gentleman was uninterested and gave my key and the rules and appeared uninterested in being available for questions or chit chat.

Perfect getaway spot, Room was comfortable, clean, and a very short walk from a delicious dinner and gorgeous French pastries for breakfast. We also walked up the hill to Benziger for wine tasting. Overall, perfect, we will return. So nice to be able to leave the car and just walk.

This place is adorable and in a perfect spot, walkable to multiple tasting rooms and restaurants, and less than a 10-minute drive to at least 3 other great wineries and restaurants. Definitely recommend for couples coming to experience wine country!

The creekside setting, the pool, spa and grounds were all lush and peaceful, the room was clean, bed was comfortable and the area was quiet. Being able to walk across the street to the market, down the street to several restaurants and bakeries, and wineries and tasting rooms makes this location ideal.

The lodge was not pet-friendly. I would stay more often if it was. It is near JACK LONDON State park and a great place to walk with a dog. The room was big and clean. The location is central to the parks and great restaurants and stores. Loved the relaxing pace of the town. Walk everywhere!

The Jack London Lodge was a perfect spot for a wine tasting trip. Small town charm and walkable to several wonderful restaurants and morning coffee. The Saloon is next door, full of Jack London memorabilia and an amazing back terrasse next to the river. The hotel had wonderfully comfortable beds and we especially loved the outdoor jacuzzi tub!

Cute place. Loved the bar next door, live music on the patio when we were there. Food was good too. The pool and hot tub were very nice. The area is lovely. We went to the Jack London State Park and stopped at the winery on the same road. We had breakfast at the French pastry place walking distance down the street from the hotel. The major complaint would be the terrible shower in our room. It dribbled water from the shower head, really couldn't wash my hair. Needs to be renovated like the rest of the room. I would still recommend.
