Although we never met any staff because the Inn has contactless check-in, Karen made us feel very welcome with her timely email providing check-in information. Upon arrival, we followed the path to our “secret cabin” next to a zen garden. Inside, our cozy suite glowed with tealight candles (battery operated). It had a fireplace, large soaking tub and bay window overlooking a picturesque creek and stone bridge. We appreciated all the welcoming touches, including snacks and filtered water in the mini fridge. The Inn was walkable to several good dining options for dinner and breakfast. Our only regrets were that we were only staying in this enchanting place for one night, and that the Inn’s martini bar was closed when we were there.

Lovely view of the water and there are so many thoughtful little touches in the room. Really appreciated the snacks and the jetted tub was the highlight of the stay. Plus there's a fireplace and it's right next to one of my favorite restaurants, the Glen Ellen Star! Perfect little getaway

Great place. Attention to detail and many little things most hotels would not even think about. Restaurant and bar were closed for construction but nice places in the area to eat and have breakfast. Would recommend if you are visiting wine country and want a quiet special place to stay.

This is a hidden, quiet gem. We loved our stay. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and we loved having a porch to sit outside and have a glass of wine. It was too cold to take advantage of the public sitting area by the river but... next time!

This is an ideal weekend getaway. Self check-in, in-room hot tub and fireplace, and very close to several local wineries. There’s also a convenience store within a few hundred feet that has craft beer, wine, and basic grocery items (open until 11pm most days). Highly recommend.

WONDERFUL! This Inn is a little gem. We stayed in the cottages and it was quaint, very pretty, treats left snd extremely comfortable. Our room had a refrigerator, jetted tub and a steam shower which was wonderful after a brisk walk around the town. We can’t wait to go back (we were there in Jan) to spend even more time enjoying the property and patio. Wonderful communications and the easiest checkin and out ever! 10/10 for sure!

The Glen Ellen Inn is a great choice if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in the sonoma wine country. Very clean and comfortable. We liked having the extra space offered by both the living room and separate bedroom. There’s a nice soaking tub as well as a separate shower with steam/spa capabilities. Karen was great and provided us with several suggestions for dining options and wineries to visit. Be sure to take the time to research any wineries you want to visit. Several are only open Thursday-Monday.

The Glen Ellen Inn was a wonderful surprise! Pictures on line do not do it justice! Karen was amazing. Our room was clean and comfortable. The property is quite and secluded and very picturesque. Little steam in the back with beautiful tress that lead right into the sweet town of Glen Ellen. Nice drive to San Fran, Sonoma, Napa and the coast. Would highly recommend.

I loved everything about this place. Feels very magical and has a very European feel. Owners weee accommodating and went that extra mile with fresh water and treats daily. Smelled so clean, like bleach though not cleanser. Sweet little area set up overlooking the creek. Just loved it. And quite the bargain during high summer in the Sonoma area. Charming.

The cottage was very clean. Each day, we had a little goody basket of kcup coffee, snacks, and bottled water. This bed was comfortable. The owner communicated very well. My only complaint is the lack of shelving or drawers. There was a tiny closet for hanging clothes but nowhere to put undergarments, socks, pajamas. Etc.. the recliner should be removed and a small chest of drawers added. There is a lot of wall decor. There is a wine fridge. Pub table, keurig coffee pot with coffee cups. The location is excellent and many restaurants are in walkable distance

Everything was beautiful. The rooms are all very clean. The outside living space was also very clean, quiet relaxing I don’t think you could do much to improve this experience. Everyone associated with the property was very helpful. The market within walking distance had everything you could ask for from grocery items to hot meals that you could take with you. This is a wonderful place to stay.

Lovely creekside setting. Our room included a nice sitting room with several seating choices, some free snacks and a coffee making station. Very nice comodious bathroom and a big cushy bed. Fireplace was see-thru to the other room which was a bit odd at times. Also if one person wants to sleep and the other is watching tv in the livingroom part, there id no door to close off the noise. Otherwise, loved it!

The cottages were charming, spacious, and intimate. If I had one gripe, it would be my personal dislike of down comforters instead of light blankets. Way too hot, so I take it off and I’m too cold. I miss blankets.

We really enjoyed our stay at Glen Ellen Inn. It was the cutest little cottages backing on to a beautiful creek. We enjoyed the patio, sipping wine in the evening or reading a book in the morning. The staff was also very friendly and extremely helpful when we had questions about the area.

Our room was so comfortable! A good mattress, really good pillows, plenty of room, a fireplace, and a soft rug. We will stay here again every time we come to Sonoma. My husband thought it was a little too feminine when we got there, but he ended up loving the room too. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout really made us feel welcome and appreciated.

WOW!! Sometimes you can build up expectations.., not the case, I had no idea we were going to be transported to magical oasis by a mossy covered bridge. A stream flowing right outside. Definitely a couples getaway. Karen was very attentive and kept an open line of contact but never saw another person while there. Lots to do in a walking distance. In room hot tub and gas fireplace - the room was a little busy with knick knack trinkets but the absolute hardest part.., was leaving. We were at the end in cabin 3, not sure what the others were like but come stay here - I recommend it

WOW! We cannot say enough positive things about this property. Bed comfort with sheets beyond thread counting, fun, luxurious pillows & at least 3 throws. Did I mention the vibrating lounging chair. Indoors or outdoors there were fun, interesting places to enjoy, day or night, some more private, all with whimsical touches to delight your senses.

We lived in and grew up in Sonoma for 59 years and have been gone for five years. The property and the secret gardens cabins were wonderful. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Cabins we decorated very cute, lots of towels and water and snacks delivered daily. I would highly recommend the Glen Ellen secret cabins. The only thing I did not like was the fact that our cabin didn't have a closet for hanging cloths. They did have a bar with some hangers.

The secret cottages are in a great location, perfect for a short stay in the tiny town of Glen Ellen. The proprietor is engaged and responsive. I stayed for 5 nights, which was a bit of a challenge as cottage #6 is small, a bit dark and not as functional as I would have liked. There is a lot of extraneous stuff in a small space and limited surface area for ones things. A few suggestions: please add towel hooks in the bathroom and replace one of the 3 benches with a small desk or vanity; counter space is needed to improve functionality. Also brighter light bulbs would be a nice improvement.

Some might find this cabin "cozy". I found it incredibly cluttered and claustrophobic, especially in warm weather. No need for fur blankets piled on everything. I couldn\'t turn around without bumping something. I will never return. We also were charged $10 over the quoted rate. Perhaps for the cup that broke because the coffeemaker didn\'t have enough room amidst the clutter to actually be used? The proprietor was pleasant, but the room wasn\'t.

Karen helped us do a seamless check in since we knew we would be late attending BottleRock. Our room has to be the best cottage, quiet, secluded with a pretty patio area. The owner was so upbeat and nice from the reservation phone call and texts to the day we left. Initially, we were planning to stay only 1 night and ended up staying 3 nights. because the property and bungalows are so magical. There was nothing we didn't love! Do yourself a big favor and stay here while you are in Sonoma area.

The cottages are terrific, quaint, and in a great location. There are restaurants, tasting rooms, and shops within less than a block as well. No on-site staff, but they were around and available if needed. A great option for couples and groups.

Everything about this experience was great. I was contacted prior to my stay to let me know my cottage number and how I could access my key after hours. I asked to switch to a different cottage (#5) and was able to with no issues. The cottage itself was amazing. Ice machine was working, and the refrigerator was spacious. The hot tub was perfect. We left the window cracked open a bit and you could hear the water from the creek all night. The fireplace added some nice ambiance as well. Bed was comfortable, with more pillows than anyone could ever need. My wife loved it. The area around Glen Ellen is gorgeous, and the french bakery down the street was perfect for breakfast/lunch before we left. The only issue I experienced was that after my check out I noticed an extra $50 charge. I contacted them and was informed that this was a mistake. They apologized and issued a refund right away. If I'm ever in the area I would definitely stay here again.

The property was just what we wanted in the wine country. Quiet, walking to the restaurants and market as well as a relaxed atomosphere. The rooms were very nice with lots of towels. It was an easy drive to vineyards or dinner. We can't wait to go back.

We love the ambience of the rooms along the creek. We also liked the closeness to Jack London State park for some fantastic hiking as well as the bakery, the market and the restaurants nearby. Highly recommend staying for more than one night to take advantage of everything. We regretted not having enough time for wine tasting in the area.

What an awesome, quaint, peaceful little hideaway! We loved it. Glen Ellen is a short drive to all the Sonoma wineries and t min from multiple great hiking trails. Cant wait to get back! And the owners - Karen and Chris - are fantastic hosts and very helpful with great local advice!

Lovely view of the water and there are so many thoughtful little touches in the room. Really appreciated the snacks and the jetted tub was the highlight of the stay. Plus there's a fireplace and it's right next to one of my favorite restaurants, the Glen Ellen Star! Perfect little getaway

The cottage was very clean. Each day, we had a little goody basket of kcup coffee, snacks, and bottled water. This bed was comfortable. The owner communicated very well. My only complaint is the lack of shelving or drawers. There was a tiny closet for hanging clothes but nowhere to put undergarments, socks, pajamas. Etc.. the recliner should be removed and a small chest of drawers added. There is a lot of wall decor. There is a wine fridge. Pub table, keurig coffee pot with coffee cups. The location is excellent and many restaurants are in walkable distance

This is an ideal weekend getaway. Self check-in, in-room hot tub and fireplace, and very close to several local wineries. There’s also a convenience store within a few hundred feet that has craft beer, wine, and basic grocery items (open until 11pm most days). Highly recommend.

The communication from the inn made check in very easy. Staff there were very friendly and available to make our stay a good one. Our room was large and yet quaint. It had a cozy fireplace, seating area in and outside our cottage. Some snacks, chocolates, water and coffee were in our room for us. The bed was very comfortable and our bathroom was also quite large with plenty of towels. There was a very calming fountain outside our room which we loved hearing. The property has an adorable outdoor sitting area by the creek which we enjoyed. Glen Ellen is a small town but it has some wonderful restaurants and you can walk to all of them.

Glen Ellen is a tiny town. Glen Ellen Inn Secret Cottages are right in the middle of it. Super charming and quaint. Great facilities and tremendous, unobtrusive service. Tremendous dining just steps away at Fig Cafe and Glen Ellen Star and others.

The Glen Ellen Inn is a great choice if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in the sonoma wine country. Very clean and comfortable. We liked having the extra space offered by both the living room and separate bedroom. There’s a nice soaking tub as well as a separate shower with steam/spa capabilities. Karen was great and provided us with several suggestions for dining options and wineries to visit. Be sure to take the time to research any wineries you want to visit. Several are only open Thursday-Monday.

Great place. Attention to detail and many little things most hotels would not even think about. Restaurant and bar were closed for construction but nice places in the area to eat and have breakfast. Would recommend if you are visiting wine country and want a quiet special place to stay.

Very nice visit. Easy access to cottages and tranquil setting. All amenities as advertised. Kind and attentive staff. Easy access to fine dining. Next time we’ll make winery plans but this trip was just to relax and unwind.

This was such a quaint place. Decorated inside and out with love. Our cottage was very comfortable for our 3 night stay. It even had a steam shower that my husband appreciated due to his allergies. I would have liked a full-length mirror behind bath door, perhaps.

One of the best places to stay in all of wine country. Every detail is perfect on the grounds and in the cottages. It's a wonderful place to escape to alone, with a group, or share a romantic weekend with your partner.

I cannot recommend this property enough. That only was it clean, but all the little extras were over and beyond. Close proximity to Sonoma and so much more. I will definitely be returning. I give the Glen Ellen Inn five out of five stars. Free parking, fire places, jacuzzi tub, snacks, martini bar. Jack London saloon down the street or Glen Allen star hot, both wonderful food and atmosphere. location overall!
