It was perfect. Before check in or after check out, they let you use the whole premises, lockers, kitchen, common area.. great staff, great service, and awesome atmosphere.. I have bookmarked the place now

This must be one of the best hostels there is. The place is gorgeous and huge with an obvious attention to detail to make guests the most comfortable possible. Nari was a gracious host always asking and making sure we have the best experience with every aspect of our stay. He signed us up for many “in house” activities. He was the reason many of us extended our stay as we felt well taken care of. The location is perfect, right in old Quebec and walking distance from beautiful attractions like the Chateau de Frontenac as well as restaurants and stores all around. Many parks in the vicinity. The lobby is beautiful and the kitchen a thrill to cook in and mingle with guests. The pool table by the bar was really entertaining. The curtains on the beds are very convenient for privacy. I would most definitely recommend this place.

Location is great! However, the building is big and there´s no lift so it was hard to get to our room specially when carrying our bags. So many stairs up and down to get to our room felt like a labyrinth and it wasn´t clear if it was a shared bathroom or not until we checked in. The receptionist at check in wasn´t very polite. Breakfast is good though.

This is a hostel, and even if you book a private room, the facilities won't match the standards of a regular hotel. But if you are budget traveler, this may be for you. Our bathroom attached private room was on the top floor with no elevator. The stairs were old, creaky, and winding, and difficult to carry the luggage by ourselves. Definitely not for those with weak knees and arms. The room has no heating and the towels were not replaced during our 3-night stay. The bathroom is old school and shower space was tiny and claustrophobic. There is a community kitchen and other common spaces for use. The complimentary breakfast was mediocre.

Clean room, friendly staff, i was only here for a quick sleep but another person in my room said the breakfast is also good. They offer a walking tour as well.

Perfect location. Everything was walkable. Parking was a couple blocks away and inconvenient. Breakfast did not have much either. Other than that no complaints.

Great old building. Lots of stairs. Centrally located. Great walking tour arranged through the hostel. Friendly and helpful staff.

They have guitars, a pool table and a bar. What more would you need!

Auberge très bien située, dortoirs très bien organisés : casier et lit numérotés donc pas de débat sur qui prend quoi et le casier est assez grand pour contenir une grande valise. Chaque lit dispose de prise pour charger ses appareils. La cuisine est aussi bien agencée, des paniers et étiquettes sont à disposition pour ranger ses aliments. Le petit-déjeuner offre des options salés et sucrés. On peut aussi déposer sa valise dans la consignerie avant le check in et après le check out. Équipe très avenante également! Je reviendrai séjourner si je retourne à Montréal sans problème !

O hostel é extremamente limpo, espaçoso e organizado. Os funcionários são gentis, os quartos são ótimos e os banheiros muito limpos e organizado. Amei!

I just loved it!! This facility is quite big and spacious, good amount of shower cubicles and toilets, a wall of fridge like a small convenient store, plenty of common space with outlets. I stayed in a female dorm, and the room was big enough to accommodate decent-sized 6 beds (double-storied). There are small lockers inside the room, and you can use it with your own padlock. It was 0-7 Celsius outside during my stay, but the room and whole building were adequately warm. What I appreciated the most about here is the CLEANLINESS! To maintain it to be excellent, they provide us a plenty of washed bath mats, paper towels (good absorbent), paper cups to brush your teeth. Also, there are towel hangers in shower space + toilets here and there as if they know how we use their shower and sink. Breakfast was also wonderful! It went beyond my expectation as breakfast in a hostel. I enjoyed their peach juice, coffee and tea with oat milk, multi-grain bagels and toast with cream cheese and jam. They also had cottage cheese, cereals and boiled egg. There was a nice gentleman (kitchen staff) who prepared lovely sweets using some cereals and caramels towards the end of my breakfast. You might see him if you’re lucky too. Overall, I stayed amazed being in this place, and this hostel was way better than a hotel I stayed in Montreal. Clean, well-maintained, nice staff, convenient from the center of the old town, quiet at night, nice breakfast. What else do you want more?

I really enjoyed my stay at Auberge Quebec and I would totally stay here again! The Hostel was clean and the amenities such as the kitchen and theatre were perfect. The breakfast was a nice touch and had just the right amount of food for everyone to have a simple but filling start to the day. I stayed in a 8 person female only room, there only ended up being 6 beds and lots of space so it was perfect. The staff I cannot say enough kind things about. Every single one of them was so helpful, nice and eager to help. The only issue I had was the plumbing. There would always be so many toilets that were clogged or unflushable. I even had a toilet overflow on me, luckily I was wearing shoes, that is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Apart from that, the location was incredible, super accessible to everything I needed and lots of restaurant's, cafes, buses and anything else one would need!

The room was clean, the venue has plenty of seating areas and is walkable to almost everything you need.

I was only there one night, but everybody was very friendly and helpful, especially because the airline needed to deliver my bag at about 1 AM. Everything was comfortable and clean. I would happily stay again.

Family room B141 was quite good for our family of 2 adults and a 10 year old. Very convenient to get to from the back entrance and far away from the noise from the youths that comprise the majority of the clientele.

The Hostel is located just a block away from shopping and there is a nearby grocery store. The beds have curtains, an individual light with power & usb ports. The locker is big enough for a carry on bag. There are limited number of bathroom/shower rooms on each floor. Common areas are nice and clean.

The private rooms are simple but well-appointed (mirror, individual nightstands/nightlights, etc.) and clean. Never encountered any wait for bathroom facilities; also appreciated the provision of individual bath mats. Breakfast is simple but sufficient. Luggage storage is self-service. Hallways were generally quiet during quiet hours 10pm-7am). Only con is that some beds may not be completely level as the floor is not completely level in some rooms (the hostel is in old buildings), but this was not a big problem for a one night stay.

Die Lage der Jugendherberge ist super, weil jeder Punkt der Stadt schnell und unkompliziert zu erreichen ist. In der Jugendherberge war viel los (Canada Day), trotzdem waren die sanitären Anlagen stets annehmbar sauber. Die Zimmer sind natürlich recht einfach eingerichtet, aber sauber. Insgesamt war es recht unruhig in der Herberge; nachts habe ich trotzdem ganz gut geschlafen. Etwas anstrengend war der Straßenlärm über das Wochenende. Nachts musste das Fenster deshalb geschlossen bleiben, wodurch es im Zimmer sehr warm war. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

The room was extremely hot. Summers in Quebec City are very warm, and with 35 degrees outside, you don’t want to come back to a room that’s even hotter! There were only two small fans. Breakfast included cheese, bread, hard-boiled eggs, and oatmeal. Unfortunately, there were no sweets. However, everything was very clean and the staff was very kind and friendly.

L'auberge mériterait d'être rénovée.Il n'y a pas de climatisation. Nous avons eu chaud la nuit malgré un petit ventilateur (fin août ) Le petit déjeuner mériterait d'être amélioré avec du jambon et des yaourts. Le personnel est très sympathique.

Bel endroit à partir duquel nous pouvons visiter la ville à pieds. Petit déjeuner basique. Chambre idéale avec un ventilateur au plafond mais il faisait trop chaud.

I want to say thank you to one of the staff (Naomi) if I heard it right name? for assisting me to give extra blanket and pillow because I am so cold and uncomfortable to sleep with one pillow.. I love the kitchen area clean and organize and also they breakfast even it a basic like bread, egg etc.. oh I love the bake beans. I never eat beans but when i tried it I like it. All the staff are very nice and accommodating. If I comeback to Quebec I will stay again to this property.

We had an extremely comfortable stay in the family room at the Auberge Internationale. The staff were friendly, chatty and welcoming. The kitchen was well outfitted and clean, and the common areas were sunny and comfortable. The location was perfect for walking around old Quebec City. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the hostel was within walking distance of the train station.

I couldn’t recommend this hostel more! The location is extremely convenient—everything you need for daily life is within walking distance. The staff are very friendly. Although there wasn’t a bed available when I checked in early in the morning, they kindly allowed me to store my luggage and take a shower before heading out. The breakfast was also good and met all my needs. Thank you!

I stayed for a night and it was what I needed - a clean and quiet place to rest which is close to the attractions I wanted to visit. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast to fuel up for a busy day. Thank you!

The kitchen was well outfitted and clean, and the common areas were sunny and comfortable. The location was perfect for walking around old Quebec City. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the hostel was within walking distance of the train station.

Keep in mind that this property is a hostel - folks of all ages use the place as an inexpensive place to stay. It is not fancy but it’s clean and safe. Great location and Route 11 bus from outside Gare du Palais VIA station stops almost right at the door. Close to Rue St Jean, Théâtre Capital.

In the heart of Quebec City. One block up from Saint Jean Street where there are great restaurants and shops. Probably the nicest hostel I've ever stayed in. Bonus, breakfast and the bath towel are included 😀

The room is very simple but clean. The location is good but have a steep slope. If you have big luggage, it is better to take taxi there.

En general, todo fue genial. Desayunar fue la mejor parte obviamente. Muy completo gracias! Las duchas funcionaban bien. Las camas cómodas.

Nice staff and breakfast

My sons and I had never stayed at a hostel before, so we weren’t sure what to expect. Other than being too warm (we’re used to A/C everywhere), we had a great experience! The continental breakfast was excellent, the furnishings in all the public rooms were lovely, and they even provided a tour guide for Vieux Quebec. We loved all the fun murals throughout the building and spending time on the patio.
