We had a fantastic time here. The staff are very attentive and lots of small extras were a nice touch. There was little warning about the parking situation (almost impossible to park near and not have other drivers damage your hire car). It is right in the centre and there are complex driving arrangements with no vehicle zones that are confusing. Well research your parking plans first. We parked 20 minutes walk away in a public car park by the train station This doesn't detract from the brilliant stay just some advice for future travellers if bringing a car

Service from staff was superb. Leonardo in the front desk was very friendly and allowed us to store luggage in lobby area prior to check in. When we arrived for check in luggage was already in our room ! Tergen was also very attentive during happy hour making sure we were having a great time. Only recommendation is to add an elevator from the street to lobby. Everything else was a great experience.

Excellent stay. Very courteous and hospitable culture and staff. Decent breakfast. Great location- walkable to all tourist spots in Florence. Leonardo made our check in process painless and welcoming. There is a flight of stairs on the way in.

Location is great but if you have a car, reaching the hotel and leaving the car to the valet (which is nearly a must) while unloading luggage is quite tricky as the road in front is narrow and you'll probably block traffic. Other than that, location is great, staff is friendly and breakfast was good

Kudos to Angelo at the front desk. He was very friendly and helpful with getting us settled and our car valet parked after an exciting drive into the ZTL zone of Florence via the twisty roads from Siena. Would recommend the drive, but definitely not for the faint of heart. We stayed in an awesome suite with a private terrace. Easy walking distance to everything. Many very good restaurants all around. Not too expensive, we averaged about €100 for two people per evening meal, usually including a bottle of wine. Breakfast was very good, with custom made Espressos and Cappuccinos. Wine happy hour every evening.

Aside from the 26 steps to get to the elevator, which we knew about, the hotel was excellent. The staff could not have been friendlier or accommodating. Room was very comfortable. Good breakfast daily and an enjoyable happy hour.

Very well located hotel, in the middle of the old city, and just 10 min walking distance from the train station. You need to climb some stairs to get to the elevator that takes you to the lobby. May be difficult for folks with some disabilities. Other than that, the hotel was very nice, staff was super friendly, continental breakfast included was good.

Room was nice and service was great right up to when we picked up our car from valet parking. When we handed keys over, car was undamaged. They left it on street where the mirror was smashed and then said it wasn’t their fault because it happened before they picked the car up to park it. They should have valeted it right away. It was their responsibility once we handed keys over. But they denied responsibility.

lovely hotel, right next door to Palazzo Davanzati, so absolutely in the centre of Florence. Large room, beautifully laid out. The street is a busy pedestrian one, but top quality double glazing kept out all noise at night. The staff were ALL friendly and there was a wonderful atmosphere of happiness throughout. Leonardo at the desk was a joy. The only thing to note is that access to the hotel and its lift is up one flight of steep stairs, so not good for any with reduced mobility. Staff would come to help with suitcases, but guests need to manage that first flight. We will certainly make this our hotel in Florence on any future trips.

No getting around that first flight of stairs, but the hotel is worth it! Very clean & beautiful. The staff goes above & beyond! The happy hours & breakfasts are excellent & there’s a wonderful restaurant right across the street. I loved this place!

Generous, filling breakfast with fresh cut fruits, and individualized coffee and tea, including cappuccino, Everything was very clean, with the bathroom being particularly spacious and well-lit. Location was right in the center of the old city, making it very easy to get around and see the sites, go to museums, eat, and shop. Will stay there again and have already highly recommended it to family and friends.

Wonderful hotel! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Always greeting us, giving us suggestions & assistance for seeing Florence. The location is close to all the big sightseeing locations as well as restaurants. They provided breakfast, afternoon snack & happy hour daily included with the room. You do have to climb a flight of stairs to enter the lobby but bags will be brought up for you. The room was spacious for 3 people and very clean. Highly recommend!

Very convenient location. Comfortable room. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The only issue we had was a flooded room at 10 pm following plumbing issues from the floor above. The staff fixed the problem and tried to clean up our room, but the room smelled and the floor was dirty until they could clean it better the following day. We were not offered another room or reimbursement for that night.

We had a fantastic stay at Davanzati. Everything was close by and yet the room was very quiet. The facilities were all spotlessly clean. The staff everywhere were smiling and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety to get you on your way for the day. The cappuccinos were wonderful as well. They also had a lovely tea/coffee time as well as a happy hour. We were usually out and about at that time but thought it was a lovely option for guests. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Florence.

The hotel is well Iocated and the staff is very friendly but the room that I was given smelled so bad to sewer that it was impossible for me to spend the night there. When I called the front desk, he came and open the door to the patio and open the sink and shower taps and let the water run for 20 mins and said that it was a problem from the pipelines. He said I could sleep with the doors open as there wasn't anymore rooms available (this was December). It was clear they had a problem with this room and I just wanted to have a normal night sleep in a clean hotel room. So I left and requested the refund of the money at which the receptionist said that he would call the manager and thought it was ok. So I left and sent an email to Hotels.com as I had made the booking through them and went to another hotel nearby. The refund was declined by the hotel which I don't think it's fair as sleeping in that room was disgusting.

The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcomed. The room was spacious and clean, and had every amenity, including a sound machine! The breakfast was delicious and the happy hour and tea time drinks and snacks were a delightful option to enjoy and to get to know the other guests. Location could not be beat - a few minutes walk to everything!

I had one of the most pleasing stays in a hotel for quite a while at Davanzati. It is supremely situated, the rooms are spacey and full of historic atmosphere, and the staff may just be the friendliest I have yet to come across in Italy - and I’ve been there more than a few times by now

Room was more than spacious for two of us with a very comfortable king bed and daybed and very clean. Breakfast was included with our room and was more than adequate with meats, cheeses, breads and croissants, pastries and espresso/cappuccino/coffee made to order. Davanzati also has a tea in the afternoon as well as a cocktail hour with complementary wine and beer. Was a nice start to our evening out! Location is excellent just a few blocks walk to the Duomo and all other Florence sites, museums, markets and restaurants (La Grotta Guelfa around the corner was excellent!). Note that the hotel entrance is up a flight of stairs from street level where you can then take the elevator up to the lobby. Highly recommend Hotel Davanzati!

We gave this hotel a five star rating because of the staff and location. We traveled as a family of three and rented the four person room. Goods: - The staff at this hotel are amazing. - The location of the hotel is very good for walking around Florence. - Breakfast buffet in small, but good quality for a 3 star European hotel. Others: - This is a typical 3 star hotel in the center of Florence. That means that the hotel rooms are small, Bathrooms are small and either outdated or an upgraded version of something that started very small. You need to navigate small elevators and tight stairs with your bags, at check-in and check out. Also, don't rent this hotel if your planning on spending a lot of time in the room. You rent a 3 star in Florence to get close to the action at a cheaper price.

The only negative: room 208 was very noisy at night until at least 2 am. We were there on a Monday and Tuesday night. There was a bar or restaurant near enough that we could hear the loud talking, laughing, occasional yelling.

This is a great hotel close to all activities in Florence. The rooms and bathrooms are quite specious compared to other European hotel rooms. Staff is helpful and provided us with vital information. If you can brave 20 “Italian steps” to reach the elevator of the hotel, then this is an excellent place to stay in Florence.

lovely hotel, right next door to Palazzo Davanzati, so absolutely in the centre of Florence. Large room, beautifully laid out. The street is a busy pedestrian one, but top quality double glazing kept out all noise at night. The staff were ALL friendly and there was a wonderful atmosphere of happiness throughout. Leonardo at the desk was a joy. The only thing to note is that access to the hotel and its lift is up one flight of steep stairs, so not good for any with reduced mobility. Staff would come to help with suitcases, but guests need to manage that first flight. We will certainly make this our hotel in Florence on any future trips.

We bookended our Tuscany experience with stays at the Davanzati in two different rooms. Unfortunately our stay was marred by a total lack of service on the last day. There was a taxi strike when we departed for the airport. We were not given any notice by the hotel, and we were not offered any assistance in trying to get to the airport. We think a high-quality hotel would have offered alternatives. A very stressful early morning! We won't repeat our stay at this hotel.

Service from staff was superb. Leonardo in the front desk was very friendly and allowed us to store luggage in lobby area prior to check in. When we arrived for check in luggage was already in our room ! Tergen was also very attentive during happy hour making sure we were having a great time. Only recommendation is to add an elevator from the street to lobby. Everything else was a great experience.

Wonderful hotel! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Always greeting us, giving us suggestions & assistance for seeing Florence. The location is close to all the big sightseeing locations as well as restaurants. They provided breakfast, afternoon snack & happy hour daily included with the room. You do have to climb a flight of stairs to enter the lobby but bags will be brought up for you. The room was spacious for 3 people and very clean. Highly recommend!

This was the perfect hotel in Florence. The staff were amazing, the rooms clean and quiet, amazing AC and amenities that were all included: breakfast with a coffee barista, happy hour with wine. We had an amazing stay! It’s an easy walk from the train station, near shopping and central to duomo and ponte vecchio!

We had a fantastic stay at Davanzati. Everything was close by and yet the room was very quiet. The facilities were all spotlessly clean. The staff everywhere were smiling and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety to get you on your way for the day. The cappuccinos were wonderful as well. They also had a lovely tea/coffee time as well as a happy hour. We were usually out and about at that time but thought it was a lovely option for guests. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Florence.
