Desk clerk was very nice as was any staff we encountered. The biggest issue for us was the amount of stairs and no elevator. Granddaughter accidentally left some money and they were nice enough to call and agreed to send it to us.

No elevator and outside door next to my room was broken and locked. Had to go out front door to vape. Breakfast was a joke. Dont trust anything wrapped in seran wrap and packed in totes. Coffee gross. Cant even take a bath because the tub doesnt plug. Curtains block the heater so it has to turn on every few minutes. Had to pull chair out to turn hearer on.

I wish there had been a hair dryer as most hotels provide for guests. There was no coffee in room and just a coffee pot downstairs. The coffee didn't look appealing and I don't know where the continental breakfast was. Maybe it was in the small fridge next to the coffee. The a/c in the room was good and the bed was comfortable. The staff were nice. I probably would pay more to stay somewhere else next time but the price was better and the location was convenient.

An affordable place where the bed sheets are clean as well as the bathroom, but the room felt dusted. Windows are dirty, Is the bed cover cleaned after each client?? Poor point was the absence of welcoming at arrival; almost rude.

All and all it was clean and put together nice I’m not used to having to ask for a hair dryer thought that was pretty standard, but they delivered it when asked. Vacuuming could have been more through ( this is coming from a former cleaning lady.)

The overall 4 stars is because of the price. It was cheaper to go through Expedia than the hotel itself. It’s an old, dated hotel. The room was surprisingly spacious. The front desk guy was helpful and nice. Located right by grocery and other stores. And then the stuff that I didn’t love. There were hairs on the toilet… not from the head. Some weird goo like substance plastered on the wall next to the bed. It just wasn’t cleaned well. The bed was very firm. There were still covid protocols taped to the wall, ie: face coverings mandatory, stay at least 6 feet apart. The worst part was the fire alarm going off before 8am. Firemen showed up. No fire though. Because I’m cheap, I’d stay here again. I’ll bring cleaning wipes and my own pillows.

Local law enforcement advised us not to leave anything in our vehicle. Area is near homeless services and has many transient people walking through the property and staying there. Lobby and room smelled like smoke. Chairs in room had stains and had not been cleaned in a long time. Towels were threadbare, appeared to ready to fall apart, and had permanent marker drawings on them. Bedding had holes in the blankets. The beds were ok, we slept fine.

Really clean and good calm energy. This is seriously the cleanest room I've stayed at from a property that is this old. There have been updates in the room so it looks more modern. No odor of mold or must... I slept soundly, and would definitely stay here again. I travel a lot so see a lot of motel rooms. The owner is obviously very conscientious about taking care of the property. Kudos to the cleaning crew! Great job!

The continental breakfast was simply muffins and weak coffee. The linen was not freshly washed and the mattress was uncomfortable. For some reason on our last day at the hotel, there was a homeless woman sleeping in one of the chairs in the lobby. She was extremely fragrant and her scent was evident upon entering the lobby area. On a positive note, it's close to everything.

Room was clean. Bed was ok. Pillows were the worst we have ever had. Staff was very nice. Location was very convenient. Breakfast was minimal. Muffins and coffee were excellent. Had to eat in room. Not enough outlets to charge phones and hearing aids. Suggest change out desk lamps for the new ones with additional plugs. Also need more light in the room.

Owner / manager was incredibly rude and badmouthed Expedia saying that they were taking money from him and that he was the boss and he forced me to pay again even though the Expedia app showed my stay fully paid. After he charged my card he stopped communicating with me just telling me to call Expedia. We took the keys and went to the room but it was grotty and the whole place smelled bad. We decided to cut our stay short and just went home rather than staying at the property, even though I appear to have been charged twice.

We reserved through Hotels.com. The hotel called me even though I had set up the payment with Hotels and makes me redo the payment process. If you should say that you will cancel the front desk lady says they will charge you anyway. Therefore the confirmation and extra steps are not really needed if they can charge anyway

They show me so much love there. They even upgraded me to a two bedroom house when I requested a two queen room, and they did it at no charge. I was very surprised. The staff was very friendly. The home was very clean. All we needed is for one night to rest our heads. But they made it so welcoming that I will most definitely go back.

The curtains were excellent; I almost slept through check-out, they kept my room so dark! The price and location were also excellent; I was right across the street from a great teriyaki place and less than ten minutes from the drive-in I made the trip for in the first place. If I ever want a hotel in Oak Harbor again, this will be my first pick.

We chose the Acorn Motor Inn for our recent weekend overnight stay in Oak Harbor to coincide with a visit to friends who live in the area. We were mainly looking for a clean, comfortable, moderately priced hotel/motel and the Acorn Inn ticked all of those boxes. The furniture and (huge!) bed were all very comfortable. The breakfast that was included, while not sumptuous, was fine for a snack to start the day. All things considered, we'd stay there again.

I've stayed in worse, but still annoyed at how much we paid for a holiday weekend on the island. Supply and demand... Breakfast was a joke. 2 plastic bins of muffins or english muffins. Orange juice was rancid. Room was barely handicap accessible for an electric chair.

This is definitely an older facility. Bathrooms need a fresh coat of paint (at minimum). Front desk is crowded with items and dirty looking. Continental Breakfast was not a full Continental Breakfast. There was no juice or fruit.
