No live person on premises. No elevator and 20 steps per floor. Very difficult to get luggage into the front door "lobby" (about 5'x6") and had to use phone type deal to talk to person off premises to get codes to get into the hotel and then separate code to room. Key pads too dark and hard to see because of dim light. Not for olde people!

The only thing i do not like is that property does not have elevator. I was on third floor, stairs are long and small. No reception, and feel unsecured. No keys, just an access code for main entry and other for room.

Incredible location right beside the Chateau Frontenac. Super close to all the must see sights in Old Quebec. Full kitchen in basement available for guest use. No staff on site, check-in is all online, doors are managed through passcodes, assistance, could be requested easily through text/phone. Room itself is small, as expected. There is a mini fridge and a TV. Heating difficult to figure out - we ended up having to use portable electric heater, which was available at the hotel for guest use. Shower temperature only good for one person at a time (should wait around 30 to 45 minutes before next person if want hot water). Beds were harder, but not uncomfortable. Walls were thin and easy to hear outside/other rooms. Overall would recommend for the perfect location and very reasonable price point.

Beautiful old structure, just a bit tired. Easy check-in by self. We stayed in the Panoramic King Size Room, great view of the Chateau....but...the mattress needs to go, rolling coil, not good. Toilet seat didn't match, I mean in size, smaller than toilet, very odd. I like that they had a kitchen on the lower level, so if you wanted to fix something up. We did not so we don't know the extent. It was very clean, so that is positive.

Beautiful old building in a lovely, quiet neighborhood, perfectly located near the river and Chateau Frontenac. The room and the bathroom were both very small. It was nice to have access to the basement kitchen, but it could be better stocked (no coffee maker, cereal bowls were hard to find).

Hotel in a great location for touring old Québec! Just be aware they have a virtual reception - no person at the front desk; we communicated mostly by text and phone. And we were able leave our luggage in a corner of the lobby, which is monitored by camera and the hotel needs a door entry code so it felt secure. Also, rooms were modernized and air conditioned, but shower in ours was hard to enter or exit due to door proximity to the toilet seat. They have no elevator. And our room door easily let hallway noise in. Great high speed wifi.

The good: great location, friendly helpful off-site staff. The bad: our room was in terrible condition, very old stained and tattered carpet, broken closet door, tap that ran all the time, ripped bedding and drapes, broken lamps, and the worst part is mold in the shower everywhere. General condition in the lobby etc was also poor. I’m not sure how they are getting great reviews, maybe some of the rooms are better. We did chat with another couple that were also very shocked at the condition.

The property is perfectly located, but needs better upkeep and updating. The common areas are not kept very clean. The carpets are stained and the stairs were not vacuumed during the week we stayed at the property.

Nice locations, pretty rooms. Carpet was dirty and bathtub had hair from previous guests in it. Hairdryer did not work, and parts of the wall near the window need to be repaired.

We had a great stay! The room and bathroom were both spacious and very clean — it looked like everything had been recently renovated, which was a nice touch. The hotel is in a great location, with everything you need nearby. Overall, a very comfortable and convenient place to stay. We’d love to come back one day!

Hotel not well maintained. Entrance dirty, carpet stained, no live staff. Room's bathroom dirty in corners, vent very dirty. Toilet seat broken. Hole in wall repaired w scotch tape. Liked the close to the waterfront. Didn't like the lack of attention to the dirt, mould , broken down showers, rust stains and water bubbles in the walls, the complete lack of attention to the garden/patio area.

Great overnight hotel choice pre-cruise. Clean room/bathroom & comfortable and clean bed. Very good location to walk the old city. Only drawback is check-in is electronic at 4 PM. With a morning flight arrival, it would have been nice to get a “room ready” text after cleaning is done so guests can possibly check in a little earlier.

Location was absolutely wonderful. Building from the outside is quaint and on a quiet side street in old Quebec City. Room was incredibly small but that is expected. The common areas and hallways are in desperate need of new carpeting.

It was hot summer’s days and nights and the a/c wasn’t working well. It was slightly uncomfortable. We asked for maintenance but it only seemed slightly better. The radiators also seemed to emit heat (not sure if they are able to be turned off). Otherwise, the location was excellent.

A smallish but well designed room, having windows you could open and access to the balcony was very nice. The coffee was good once I found out how it worked, but I thought the TV system was poor, instructions for both would have helped. The town was close but the walk up the hill followed by stairs would be difficult for some. Overall good Value I think

Location is excellent, the roads around the hotel were closed so it was very quiet. There is no parking available close to the hotel so checking in can be difficult. The room was nice but the bathroom was ridiculously small and very uncomfortable. Service/reception was outstanding.

The AC didnt work but we assume that it should normally be cooler here in Quebec anyway. It was pretty warm. They did privide a fan which helped.

This was NOT a hotel!!! There was NO staff on property and they could not be reached upon arrival. They had an "assistance" button you could push but all that did was call a phone number where no one answered. I left a message and asked them to call me or text me; 3 hours later-nothing. I tried texting them- nothing. Finally I emailed them and 2 hours later I got a reply which did not answer my question which was where to park. There wasNO i info inside the hotel except a sheet telling us how to enter our room. There were no maps (they put maps out the last day we were there) and no info whatsoever. There was no closet- just rack hanging over the only chair in the room, so if you sat down your face was covered by the clothes you hung up. The sink was in the room. The toilet and miniscule shower were in a tiny enclosure. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. Worst place I have ever stayed. Like a hostel.

I stayed at Château de Pierre in room #2 on the second floor, and my experience was both unsafe and deeply disappointing. On August 31, another person forcibly entered my room using an access code from the hotel’s system. Even though my door was closed and chained, they were able to unlock it with a code and push hard enough to break the chain. I immediately contacted customer service and was given a new code, but later discovered that both the old and new codes still worked. This meant that unauthorized individuals still had access to my room. I no longer felt safe and had to place physical barriers against the door just to sleep. What made this situation worse is that, despite speaking twice with customer service and being assured that management would contact me, no one ever followed up. I even sent an additional message, which was completely ignored. There is also no physical presence of a receptionist at the hotel at all, leaving guests completely unsupported in emergencies. This was a serious security breach, and the lack of response from management shows a disregard for guest safety and customer care. Until they take immediate corrective action, I cannot recommend this property.

They lost my reservation and then after much turmoil let us in the room. There is no manager on the property. We never heard back from them. We're here totally unaware of what in the hell the score is. We paid and would have canceled if they hadn't after hours let us in. There are no people in this hotel to talk to!

The room seemed fine enough but the street lamps outside the window made it hard to sleep. There was no front desk employee present to communicate with. Outside our room in the lobby there were two men sitting there talking until 3 in the morning. I finally had enough and asked them to leave. Because the front door was unlocked i surmised that they had let themselves into the hotel for a place to sleep. The hotel was in a great location but not having staff onsite at all times made for an uncomfortable stay.

Château de Pierre is location, location, location - one is literally a 5 or 10 minute walk to major attractions, 100s of restaurants. Cozy and clean room on third floor. Hope to visit again !

Cute little boutique hotel. Room was tiny, but very nice.Perfect for a couple nights away. Walkable to lots of dining and scenic views. Steps from Chateau Frontenac and The Citadel. Parking was only a couple blocks away. Safe and convenient area. Would definitely stay again.

Cute little hotel very very close to the main boardwalk. Nice spacious room lots of fresh towels and toiletries available. Good a/c! Strange not having someone on site but was to easily contact service people thru email for help. It is very hot in lobby and stairwells makes going up to rooms uncomfortable during hot days. Didn’t know there wasn’t an elevator available( don’t recall any mention on website). They could use a lobby area bathroom. Kitchenette area is convenient but perhaps water can be made available in fridge or at least in mini room fridges. Overall a cute little place to stay with great views and super super close to everything!

L'hôtel n'a pas de réception ... Aucun humain pour vous accueillir, répondre â vos questions et vos besoins. Ça marche par texto. Les installations communes sont vétustes, ça paraît que personne ne gère sur place. Pas de stationnement et pas de petit déjeuner offert même en payant. Toilette minuscule, on ne peut pas bouger, papier hygiénique super cheap, pas de séchoir à cheveux, tout est délabré sauf le lit et la literie qui étaient confortables. Aucun bon rapport qualite. Pu jamais.

J’ai vraiment aimé le cachet et l’architecture de l’hôtel. J’ai apprécier l’accès à la terrasse Semi privé avec la chambre supérieur au rez de chaussée. J’ai apprécié la localisation de l’hôtel qui est prêt de tout. J’ai trouvé dommage de ne pas être accueilli à mon arrivée puisqu’il n’y a personne à la réception. Il n’y a pas de cuisine et pourtant dans la description il est mentionné cuisine commune.

We took the bus, Hop On Hop Off, and we're very happy to see all of the sites. The restaurants close to our hotel we're excellent and so are the shops. Everything we saw was wonderful and all the people were very friendly and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for a better trip.

The character of this property is fantastic. The linen and towels were clean and sufficient. The pods for AM espresso were lovely as were the creamers left in the fridge. The kitchen in the basement is equipped should you want to prep a snack with the ingredients you provide. The carpets are very well used in the rooms. It’s well priced for the location.
