Staff very helpful. Our luggage arrived from our carrier early and was in our room when we arrived. The only downside was a cover charge at the hotel bar , even for residents which we found unusual.

Habitacion pequeña, bien para los estándares de Japón, el elvador no funciona muy bien hay que poner la llave de la habitación para utilizarlo pero la mayoría se las veces falla y tardas mucho tiempo. Utilizamos las lavadoras / secadoras del hotel en el segundo piso pero la secadora tuvimos que ponerla 3 veces y ni así secó la ropa. Del resto todo bien

Location is great to access all the authentication of dinings. There is extra tourist tax 200 yen per person in a day. The space is a bit smaller than what I was expecting. There are no facilities other than laundry areas on Level 2 and Level 3 The bathroom is pretty clean& nice but there are a lot of dust sitting in ventilation holes

There were other serious oversights in cleaning across both rooms. There was a man at the front desk who aggressively snapped at me for asking a question during check-in. When sitting down at the bar to kill some time, we were asked for a 500Y cover charge, even though we were hotel guests.

Room felt a bit dated / worn but perfectly usable. 2nd floor was a little noisy (from street level) but the coin laundry on the floor was a plus. Easy walking distance to Nishiki and shopping, nearby shrine and delightful riverside area. Short subway ride from the regional train or Kyoto station (taxi also relatively inexpensive).

There are only 3 laundry machines and many guests, so there was a long queue and some user issues with the machines. Next to subway line to Dotonbori, extremely convenient. Other sights like Minoh Falls super easy to get to. Great breakfast.

The staff and cleanliness of the property was great. The rooms are small. We stayed in a 3 bed room and it was pretty tight. The laundry facilities could be improved by adding more and installing better dryers.

Great room, clean and tidy. Staff was friendly. But the self serve laundry machines are terrible! The washer is fine, the dryer takes forever to dry…well over 2 hours. Which creates a line to wait for your turn. The staff was helpful in providing extra hangers for us to dry things in our room. We even went across the street to a laundromat.

The location of the hotel and the lobby were great! The actual room was just okay. It wasn’t the cleanest, which was surprising considering the price you’re paying. One of our “clean” bath towels was dirty with a stain on it, and the shower had quite a bit of what looked like mold/mildew in the grout. I wouldn’t stay there again for that reason.

The hotel was really lovely. We had a triple room, the third bed being a rollaway. This made the room really crammed because they don’t take out the excess furniture that can’t be used due to extra bed. That was really annoying because there wasn’t enough space to put suitcases and we were tripping over things. Couldn’t open the fridge properly etc.

The room and bathroom were big and nice, and it is very clean. It is a very nice hotel located in the middle of everything! The service we received was very good. We sent our luggage on to Tokyo and the hotel helped us with this. The minus of the hotel is that the beds are rock hard. It is impossible to get a good sleep when the bed is missing the mattress topper. The bed and the floor will give you the same sleep quality. Therefore I cannot give this hotel top score.

Great location and good size room for a longer stay. Mattresses were a bit hard for us and could do with an upgrade. Ask for extra duvet to use as a mattress topper. Quiet considering you are in middle of city. Bathroom clean and tidy. Staff friendly. Great cafe underneath for breakfast set and pastries. Kyoto brewery for a craft beer just around corner the corner. Would recommend.

The staff was very friendly and guided us through check-in and check-out smoothly. The twin room was a good size for three people and the extra bed was comfortable. However, since the hotel is located on a main street, we were sometimes awakened late at night by the noise of passersby and cars. High-performance earplugs are a must, so remember to carry them with you.

Staff weren’t very friendly or helpful. Breakfast was subpar. Room was average and while I understand not changing the sheets daily, I would have expected to have the beds made nicely everyday. Spot is convenient but very noisy, with sirens sounding throughout the night.

Um bom hotel Cafe da manha simples mas bom. A unica ressalva seria um taxi que pedimos pra reservar porque tínhamos horario, nunca chegou. Precisou de taxi, pegue na rua onde passa vários e vai ser mais seguro. Tirando isso, nao tivemos problemas.

Excellent service, front desk staff were very helpful especially with them helping us call train station to retrieve a bag we left at the station location. We would definitely stay here again, hotel location was convenient and close to what we wanted to visit.

The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the Pontocho alley, shopping and tons of restaurants. The hotel is spotless. Breakfast at the hotel was also excellent and included a variety of food. We'll definitely stay here again.

The Royal Park Hotel Sanjo is in a great location. Easy to walk to the Gion area, local shrines, shopping, etc. I don’t think the breakfast or lunch addition to your daily costs is worth it. The food in the attached restaurant is pretty terrible. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel based on its friendly staff, condition? And location.
