Great Stay at Lanai Mackay - after hours check in was easy , good easy access to parking and right in the middle of town close walking distance to everything. great walking and bike path right at the front door! , Pool was our of order for our stay which was a bit disapointing and the place including the apartment could of been a bit cleaner but over all a good stay.

Our stay at Lanai apartments was part of our 10yr anniversary. We picked Lanai for the amenities i.e. pool and large spa. Upon checking in, I was notified the pool was out of service due to a major leak, which can happen. However the large spa was also not working. There was mould up stairs around this area as well. The rooms were very clean.

Walking distance to pub and shops, great pool. However, they need blockout curtains in the bedrooms as the outside lights shine in the rooms through the thin blinds all night, and then the sun shines through from 4.30am so you can’t get any sleep! The lounge doors also need curtains for privacy, and to keep the lights and sun out.

Arrived to find out the pool was being renovated. If I knew this I simply would had changed hotels without any issue. Really feel like the hotel was dishonest about the situation and by no means would have stayed at Lanai appartments if I was advised there was no pool on holidays in North QLD.

Amazing property we stayed at with our 3 boys. Everything needed was provided and if we needed anything extra, reception was happy to provide. Clean rooms, quiet floor, all staff happy and friendly. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Great location, does need to be updated as is looking very tired, the fridge was rusting. Airconditioning has condensation leaking in the kitchen. Receptionists were lovely.

We had a very nice week here and loved that the bus stop and shopping centre were within an easy walk. The walking tracks around the apartments were a bonus. The view was great and the staff were very happy to answer any questions we had.

The apartment was more than I expected. Absolutely lovely and so much space. Ladies at reception went above and beyond to assist us with our printing requirements. We throughly enjoyed our stay and definitely would recommend Lanai Apartments to friends and family.

Lovely spacious apartment with river views. Great location Some furniture was a bit damaged and the walls could have done with a clean. Otherwise it was comfortable and a pleasant space to be in. The night manager was very helpful and quickly resolved a glitch on check-in. We'd definitely stay there again.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The room was clean, tidy, and well-presented, with comfortable beds and everything we needed. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to help whenever we had questions. There was plenty of convenient parking, which made coming and going easy. The kitchen was clean, well-equipped, and had everything needed to prepare meals. Overall, the motel was quiet, comfortable, and great value for money. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to other travellers.

2nd stay there and a great spot, room was not directly in the afternoon sun, so the room is not so boiling hot that the AC couldn’t cope,unlike the last place we stayed at across the road starting with an O, on our last visit to MacKay.
