Friendly staff and good breakfast, comfortable bed for us side sleepers (my husband prefers a firmer bed for his back though). Only dings were lumpy pillows and no wi fi in our building due to some part they can’t get.

Busy weekend with guests, every parking spot filled by 11pm. Its a great location for multiple tourist/events, train station, walking distance to many venues! We enjoyed our 2 night stay. Used the pool, ate @ the continental breakfast, it was very clean & simple choices.

Very clean hotel and friendly staff. Kitchenette and pool seemed great even though we didn’t get the chance to use either of them. Only complaint is the parking. Parking spaces are limited and VERY NARROW. Otherwise, great and clean hotel.

Nice, clean , quite hotel. Beautiful landscaping. Although it is an older hotel all the services were beyond excellent 👍 We enjoyed, the breakfast, pool and the complimentary DVDs. Every staff we encountered was very friendly. I loved how old town Inn keeps it old school with a DVD player in each room.

Was very happy with staff, breakfast, comfort of bed, facilities in room, great and inexpensive washer/dryer, and they accept dogs - yay! Very few cons: narrow parking spaces, but that results in enough of them. We were on the bottom floor and the upstairs neighbor was noisy - like they were stomping. It didn’t bother us too much - just slight annoyance - but if someone were more sound sensitive it might be an issue.

Got attacked by bed bugs, with massive welts and a fever. At check-in staff was super sweet and my room didn’t have anything obviously wrong with it. I moved around the pillows and crawled under the covers around 1 AM and by 130 I was in the lobby covered in bed bug bites. Thankfully, I booked through Expedia so they could relocate me, even though it took 1.5 hours to get a new room in a major city?? Had I booked through the hotel I would’ve had bigger problems because the guy at the desk couldn’t even get his managers on the phone. Irresponsible management of what could be a great little place. The place was fully booked and the response was caring but not at all surprised so it’s pretty hard to imagine I was the first/only one. Disgusting.

Room was clean, some areas needed to be fixed like striped wall paper or chipped paint, there were also ants in our room but they mainly stayed within the bathroom and sink area minus the 3 on the walls next to the bed. Other than that everything and everyone was extremely wonderful!

The hotel is cute and clean, and it offers a good breakfast. The outdoor areas are well maintained, and the breakfast space is also tidy. However, the room did not smell clean; it had a wet socks odor near the bed. The area around the hotel felt unsafe because it is located in an industrial zone. There was trash and some homeless people nearby, which made it feel uncomfortable. It’s odd to have a cute hotel in such an industrial area.

Overpriced since it was Comic-Con that weekend and definitely not worth it. The room was rundown and the carpets were incredibly filthy we could not walk in the room without shoes. Dingy lighting and the room was so hot and muggy when we entered. Would not stay here again.

It is an older hotel, so the room kind of smelled like it. The bed was very comfortable. Got a good nights sleep and didn’t wake up with a backache, which a plus for us. Seemed clean other than a few large stains on the carpet.

Besides the lack of microwave and a small fridge, I'd say the place was pretty alright. They clean the rooms often, they have a decent selection in breakfast, however their walls are a bit thin and the place is next to a busy road.

The one night stay we had here was fine. Close to the Mission area. Check in was fast and easy. Room was clean and comfortable but a bit worn. Breakfast was carb heavy which is difficult for some. Overall, was pleased with our choice.

Our room was small but clean. Reminded me of some hotels in Europe. Bathroom very small. Quaint exterior with beautiful flowers. Did not eat breakfast so can't comment on that. Fine for a short stay but I'm a tad claustrophobic so not sure I would book for a longer stay.

It's a great place to stay except for the room that I was in 128.It's closest to the street and it's kind of noisy.There's also a light that shines directly.To our room doesn't make it for a good night sleep sometimes.

Met our needs nicely. We needed to be near MCRD so it was perfect. Welcoming could have been a little warmer/friendlier but registration itself was good. My husband and son-in-law loved the oatmeal for breakfast each morning. Had difficulty each evening with the TV but eventually got it working. Though facilities were older it was clean and our maid was sweet and efficient!

Clean rooms, bed was comfortable. Deducted one star because of the freeway and train noise. Trains stopped their horns at night thankfully but the planes flying over early in the morning made it impossible to sleep in. AC did not cool down either. If you can sleep through noise, this location is great!

Great location, attractive grounds, good breakfast selection. Room was spacious and clean. Reading lamps on each side of the bed were a welcome touch. Bathroom needed updating, but everything else was great.

Both the front office and housekeeping staff were amazingly nice, friendly and accommodating. They were happy and accommodating even when busy and short-staffed. The free continental breakfast was more than expected and my daughter had a really good Belgium waffle. Very close to Old Town San Diego and the trolly station. Perfect for our overnighter.

The manager was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent and the room comfortable. I was a little worried when driving to the location because the surrounding area is sketchy, but the Inn was very nice and they have secure entrances to the rooms. You even need a key to access the elevator. The elevator was a plus being on the 3rd floor. It’s nice not dragging your luggage up stairs. They had DVD’s that you could borrow and coffee, tea, and lemon water available until 11 pm. Very close to Seaworld and San Diego Zoo.

We got in town at 1am. My reservation was for the next night. Trip planned a while back and it changed to go a day earlier. The staff helped book a room where other hotels turned my family away at 1am. In desperation, and confirming availability through a 3rd party phone booking, got to the hotel and was said it was full. Yet, front desk staff took care of us the whole weekend. Accommodating a room at 1am, welcome goodies for my kids, tips for the trip, and a shuttle to the train station. Can’t wait to return. The hotel is a crazy, fun maze but they did great showing a map everywhere to help.

The Old Town Inn is just a touch outside of Old Town, requiring a walk that some might feel is unsafe. That said, the facility and staff are great, clearly a well taken care of place. and we enjoyed our stay enough that I extended by a day.

Cute hotel. It is kept up and maintained. The location is excellent. It is in the middle of Old Town and literally across the street from the train station. We took the trolley into Petco Park and it was super convenient. They provide a continental breakfast which provided the typical items. Our only complaint was that the pillows had a funky odor. I couldn't tell if the odor came from the pillow cases or from the actual pillows. Whichever it was, that was gross.

This is a motel. The property is very well kept and clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was average. The staff was nice. But it is very important to know that while it is close to the Old Town State Park, it is on a very busy road next to a highway and railroad line. It is in an industrial area. It is not in an area you would want to walk. It is loud. It is also next to the Alpha Project, which is a homeless shelter. There is a persistent presence of unhoused people and police near the property. While this might not be a problem for everyone, I wish I had known this before I booked my stay.

Great location (and price!) for a one-night visit to take in a Padres game. Perfect location to catch the easy, clean, convenient trolley to Petco Park.Also ideal for exploring Old Town. Rooms were immaculately clean, comfortable, quiet. Property is beautifully landscaped, pool is warm, continental breakfast is very satisfactory. Staff was especially friendly and welcoming.

The room was nice and the beds were comfy. The front desk guy, Josh, was super nice! It’s an older hotel but you’d never know. The continental breakfast was decent enough. Mostly carbs and as a diabetic, it wasn’t ideal. But they did have hard boiled eggs!

This hotel is in a great location. Old Town is very walkable and Sea World is less than 10 minutes away. They offer a nice breakfast and clean, good sized rooms.
