Overall a nice all inclusive. Just needs a little bit repair in some of the walls and doors because of age. Food was great, buffet was a little small though, it was very difficult to book meals at the specialty restaurants because the 6-8pm dinner slots were always taken up. There’s were a lot of cute hang out space but a lot of it was outdoors without any ac so it was hot and humid. The housekeeping was excellent, came to refresh our beds and towels daily. The activities were very kid friendly. Spa was very nice.

Great property and really good service and the food in all of the restaurants is really terrific. We had the family concierge service add-on which facilitated us being able to eat at every one of the a la carte restaurants that we wanted to over our stay. Not sure if this would have been possible without the family concierge being able to get these openings. All of the restaurants were fully booked several days in advance (especially over prime 6:00-8:00) dining hours. Getting good spots at the pools is an early-morning competition with folks putting towels out at 5:00 and 6:00am and leaving them all day. I didn’t love this.

I would have rated this property 5 stars across the board, but my family and I were disappointed with the dinner options at the all-you-can eat family buffet and the beach wasn’t accessible because of all the sargasm (aka seaweed) that washed onshore everyday we were there. There was also a lack of beach-side activity options. Other than that, my family really loved our week long stay at Paradisus!!

The pools are amazing especially for kids . Awesome water park with slides . The staff were very friendly and helpful . They are more friendly before you decline their invitation to the 45 meeting regarding their membership, once you decline their tune changes real quick . The room we had was spacious but smelled like mold … I didn’t think it was too bad at first but as the days went on I started to realize it was pretty strong . I didn’t want to go through the hassle of changes rooms although I should have because my whole family has come down with mold toxicity symptoms , headache, stuffy nose, sore throat , cough . All of our stuff that we traveled with smells like mold , even after washing . I had to throw the non valuables out and wash everything else in vinegar . If your room smells like mold please don’t stay in it like we did , not worth it . I wish I had moved . Property itself is nice, clean, does not smell like mold .

Overall we had a great stay. Main issues were that the power went out quite a few times. It was only for a short period of time, but bc we had kids with us, we had a few things hooked to the internet so it was a bit disturbing. Also, the Mexican restaurant and the Italian restaurant both did NOT have working AC. Not quite what I’d expect for what we paid. I understand things happen, but non of this was told to us when we made our reservations for these two restaurants and it was quite warm. Also, the steak restaurant Sal was 100% booked all week (Monday-Friday) so we were unable to actually eat there. Yet when walking by Sal at times we would have reserved, it was near empty. Again, not quite what I’d expect or hope for for the price we paid.

We had the most lovely 4 days here! The hotel is breathtaking. It’s mixes the natural terrain and modern hotel seamlessly. The food was above average for an all inclusive. We love the Mexican and hibachi spot! I used the spa and wow it was wonderful the hydro jets and experience entirely was exceptional! I did not want to leave! Graciela was outstanding!!! She was wonderful and attentive. There aren’t enough words to express how great she was!! My kids loved the water park and the pools with the pirate ship! They were so sad to leave we can’t wait to come back

One of the best stays I’ve ever had - all the staff were friendly and efficient. Same issues as other all inclusive resorts such as not always being able to dine in the al a carte restaurants but that’s no different. Staff tried their best to accommodate dining requests. Amenities were incredible as was the availability for snacks. The facilities were phenomenal for 3/5 year olds and enough to keep adults occupied. Evening entertainment was super fun. Can’t recommend this place enough - will definitely be back and visit more ‘Melia’ or ‘Paradisus’ brand resorts. Thank you to ALL the staff on site for an incredible vacation.

Very short staffed and not a high end resort Unkept property - everything is falling apart especially the pools and water park. Nobody around to clean up the common pool areas. There was VERY unsafe conditions at the water park. There was garbage left for a whole week that nobody cleaned. The pools themselves never get cleaned at night. The room have broken doors, fridges, AC and more. The food selection at the buffet is limited and not flavorful. There is no nightly entertainment past 8pm and not much for the kids to do. The beach was not maintained either.

Second time visiting Paradisus, our first visit3 years ago was delightful, amazing, and overall wonderful. The property was immaculate well kept , seems there was an army of staff working to keep the resort in an excellent condition and the other half keeping guest entertained and well fed. The food quality from the buffet to the specialty restaurant was deliciously planned out and prepared. Now June 2024 the property is falling apart , the buildings are in such disarray and disrepair it hardly qualifies for a resort status , the staff for the most part are extremely hard working and doing the best they can with limited staff on hand ! The food was ok at best. The executive chef could have done a better job improving on that end . The furniture around the entire property is dated and torn in some cases dangerous to use. The cleanliness around the entire property including public spaces, hallways, and public restrooms are dirty and most cases missing soap, paper towels and some times toilet paper. The entertainment was limited to very cramped spaces and small productions . We were used to having large theatrical production in the resort’s theater . Last but not least it took over an hour to check us in ! Seemed the front desk personnel were not knowledgeable of friendly!

The hotel was really nice, but it’s not ocean view, and it was a bit dirty the whole time, so we didn’t really use it. The activities only happen while we were all at dinner, and on weekdays, everything is super quiet on the weekends. The food was okay, but there weren’t many options for kids, and for those who don’t eat pork, this hotel doesn’t offer many options. Overall, the hotel is kept clean, but it definitely needs some color and updating.

Falsely advertised queen sized beds. They were full sized beds which made for terrible sleep for 4 people. I messaged the concierge who had messaged me regarding check in (Eduardo). He read my message and never replied to me. Ac was also not good. We were never fully cool enough to sleep well in the room.

We received an upgraded room and it was beautiful, it had a bedroom, so it made it convenient as i get up earlier than my wife.The staff was incredible, very friendly and drink service was incredible. The restaurant food was really good but buffet was underwhelming, and it was difficult to get a decent reservation time. Beachside drinks were limited and I was told my bracelet wasnt good one day, so a waitress had to serve us from the main building which was a long walk away. We went with our grandkids, I am 61 and had a ball in the kids waterpark. Overall very satisfied, better buffet, Better beach bar with snacks would be a big bonus.

The food, staff and overall experience was excellent. The hotel is very family oriented and our kids enjoyed the waterpark, pools and kids club. We found the rooms could use a bit of updating and some hallway noise was audible in our room. We found the pool lounger saving by the other guests annoying and wished that rule was enforced. However, these were minor issues and our stay was excellent overall.

The resort is very kid-friendly — our kids loved the Aquazone and the foam party at the pool, and the main areas were nice. Housekeeping did a great job keeping the rooms tidy, but the buildings with the rooms still felt dated, like the décor hadn’t been touched in 15 years. The food was the biggest letdown: salty, repetitive, and not very fresh, and a few of us even felt unwell. Room service was also painfully slow — over an hour wait for things that usually come out right away. Amazing property for families. We had a family concierge swim up suite and we absolutely enjoy being able to jump into the pool from our balcony. Veronica H was our concierge and she made it so special for our kids. We celebrated my son’s birthday and she helped make it so special. We can’t wait to go back.

The resort itself is beautiful and very family friendly. I traveled with two small children (ages 3 and 5), and there were plenty of activities to keep them entertained. However, I do want to note an issue we experienced with dinner reservations. We arranged our reservations through a staff member named Natalia (with tattoos and both arms), who confirmed that our dinners were booked for three consecutive nights. Since my husband was only in the country for those three nights, these reservations were very important. Unfortunately, when the time came, we were told that no reservations had actually been made. As a result, we ended up dining at the buffet for all our meals. While the buffet was decent, it was disappointing given the effort we put into planning and the importance of those dinners for my husband’s stay. What made the situation worse was that guest services were neither helpful nor understanding. They even acted as if they didn’t know who Natalia was, which was very frustrating. By the time they offered to book whatever was left at the other restaurants, it was too late, my husband had already left.

While we wanted to have an amazing stay, several unexpected and troubling issues prevented us from enjoying this resort. The most upsetting incident involved my brother-in-law's missing wallet. He realized it was gone on the morning of check-out; it contained his Green Card, driver's license, and about $200 cash, and had not been taken out of the room. After the front desk initially reported no luck with lost and found, and we had to submit a costly application for temporary travel documents, we pushed to file a security report. Shortly thereafter, the wallet was suddenly "found" by the pool, a location he hadn't taken it to. The cash was missing. This entire episode was highly suspicious and frankly disturbing. Beyond the security issue, the service around my VIP booking perks was extremely poor. I had reserved through Expedia and was promised a $200 room credit. Upon check-in, this was never mentioned. When I raised the issue, the resort replaced the credit with a coupon book for things like spa and food/beverage. These coupons were then difficult to redeem; we were unable to use one at a restaurant because it was supposedly "not assigned to the room." The resort made it needlessly challenging to receive a benefit we were guaranteed. To top it off, the maintenance in our building was visibly lacking. We noted unpainted areas, patches on the walls, and ongoing work that detracted from the resort atmosphere.

This is my second time with my family at Paradisus playa del Carmen and I absolutely love it. My family and I had an amazing time the food and entertainment were great. Very clean!! The drinks were always on point. The staff was amazing my family concierge Fabian was awesome very kind and thoughtful always concerned with mine and my kids needs. The service by the family concierge pool was outstanding as busy as Salvador was with all the other patrons he still made a point to serve with a smile and give us the most outstanding service as goes for the bartenders in the family pool bar both Luis’s were amazing. Honorary mention to other great servers with outstanding service Amaya, yoshio, Moses, and Erik I cannot wait to go back. Thank you for another great stay!!

Everything was great! Our room was clean and the entire staff was so nice and respectful. Our Family Concierge, Adrian was super helpful and knowledgeable from helping us plan the cenote excursion to making dinner reservations. Even without it, there were so many options and activities throughout the day. We would definitely go back!

Compact, walkable hotel. 2-4 minute walk to anywhere on the property. The beach was great, wonderful waterpark for kids to play. Variety of restaurants with good food, availability and service. The buffet had somewhat of a limited selection, but the food was well made and buffet food variety is not a priority for me. The dinners at the restaurants were great.

I loved this resort! We originally had a boutique hotel booked in Tulum but switched to this resort. It is located in the middle of Playa del Carmen, which is rare for a large, all inclusive resort. Perfectly situated 30-45 minutes from the Cancun airport and 5 minutes from downtown Playa del Carmen. The resort itself was stunning! Beautiful, and very large. Several pools, restaurants, a Nespresso coffee bar, shopping area, and a stunning beach area. The resort is entirely mirrored for adults only. So basically, it is 2 hotels in one! The buffets were lovely, so fresh and probably the best all inclusive food I have had anywhere! Family friendly resort with many kids activities but also, the privacy for adults only! Essentially, you have access to 2 resorts in 1!

Overall, Paradisus offered a very pleasant experience. The best part of the stay was the staff. The staff was very friendly and service was 10/10. The area surrounding the resort was a bit concerning as there were groups of people around selling items and graffiti on walls. Once in the gates, the property was gorgeous and felt very safe. The room we booked was very nice, however, we did not receive the complimentary wine and did not receive restocks on the minibar. The sliding door to the shower room was broken and did not slide making it difficult to get in and out. The food and atmosphere was top notch and would highly recommend others to stay here. With a beautiful pool area and very close proximity to the beach, made it convenient to have a nice, relaxing vacation.

Overall my family had a good time. There were too many limitations. Lots of restaurants were adult only and difficult to get a reservation for. Lots of areas where you need to be exclusive members to go into. I saw a cockroach crawling near food at the buffet, as well as flies on the food. I wish there were more indoor options for kids to get a break from the heat. There needs to be more options to grab quick and healthy snacks for kids not only a sit down buffet.

I been here a few times and the kids water park is what keeps bringing me back. The specialty restaurants are impossible to make reservation. So you are stuck with a single buffet restaurant for your entire trip, in my case 10 days. Definitely not a great way to spend your expensive vacation eating.

As a result, we ended up dining at the buffet for all our meals. While the buffet was decent, it was disappointing given the effort we put into planning and the importance of those dinners for my husband’s stay. What made the situation worse was that guest services were neither helpful nor understanding. They even acted as if they didn’t know who Natalia was, which was very frustrating. By the time they offered to book whatever was left at the other restaurants, it was too late, my husband had already left.

The resort is very kid-friendly — our kids loved the Aquazone and the foam party at the pool, and the main areas were nice. Housekeeping did a great job keeping the rooms tidy, but the buildings with the rooms still felt dated, like the décor hadn’t been touched in 15 years. The food was the biggest letdown: salty, repetitive, and not very fresh, and a few of us even felt unwell. Room service was also painfully slow — over an hour wait for things that usually come out right away. On top of that, there was little AC or fans in many spots, so it was uncomfortably hot in the restaurants. Overall, amazing for kids, but the food, dated rooms, and slow service really took away from the experience.

Received no VIP benefits even though we booked it as VIP Access. Room cleaning was top notch they were amazing. Super nice and left the room spotless. Ibana Japanese restaurant was a great experience!! Hostesses at restaurants and booking them were not very friendly. Amenities in the hotel shared bathrooms were either broken or dirty. Pools were fun and water park was great. We loved this place 2 years ago. This year was OK.

A great hotel, we would go back. If you are looking for peace and quiet don’t go there, it’s a family destination. The biggest downside is the food… appart from the restaurant you can reserve the food at the buffet isn’t great. We had a Concierge and it was great
