Has many facilities and clean, bottle of water and towels given daily. Unfortunately was firstly given a room that already had someone else's bags in it at first. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Dryers need updating, takes 1.5 hours to dry a normal load.

This hotel is only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station. The room was very comfortable and larger than most single rooms in Japan. Breakfast was excellent and had a lot to choose from. Staff were friendly. There is also a laundry on the ground floor which was very convenient.

The location isn’t bad as it’s walkable to the Kyoto train station but there’s not much as far as restaurants around the hotel. The hotel has a bar but it isn’t open most of the time. It’s only open on Saturday and Sunday for only a few hours and the restaurant only offers breakfast. It’s a bit misleading as it’s advertised as having both a restaurant and bar but don’t let you know that you probably won’t have a chance to use it. I usually select hotel as it has these amenities. If that’s not important to you then this is a fine hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

ワ―ケーション(work + vacation)で6泊滞在しました。隣の部屋からの音や、廊下の声もあまり聞こえず、非常に快適な環境で滞在ができました。机回りにはLANケーブルの差込口１つ、コンセントの差し込み口２つがあります。モバイルプリンタなども同時に使用できるよう、差し込み口が多いタップを持参しました。ホテル内WIFIは部屋でも、部屋掃除のときに一時的に移動したバーのあるラウンジでも、電波は十分でした。その他施設として、コインランドリーが、洗濯機２台、乾燥機２台づつありますので、滞在中も困りませんでした。駅からの距離としては、気温が高かったこともあり、少し遠く感じました。周りの環境として、斜め向かいに小さいながらもスーパーがあるため、弁当、飲み物、お菓子などは調達できます。また、徒歩１２-１５分程度で大型商業施設にも足を伸ばせます。買い出し以外にも映画も楽しむことが可能です。１点残念だったのが、無料貸し出し自転車です。台数が２台しかないこと、最大２時間の利用制限がありましたので、自分にとっては利便性が悪く、結局、利用しませんでした。ただ、他の方もコメントしていますが、サンドウィッチは美味しかったですよ。スープ、スムージーなども、毎日、変わりますので、洋食中心の自分には。日本食（納豆、魚など）のチョイスがなくても、問題はなかったです。ホテル全体の雰囲気としては、アートな要素が多く、BGMも凝っていて、個性のあるホテルだったと思います。

This hotel was perfect for our 2 nights stay, it's got laundry station, a vending machine, free bike rental (up to 2 hours) offers bath salts and essential oils. There are plenty of convenience store around the area and the train station is only a few minutes walk away. Absolutely loved this hotel! It’s so well furnished and worth every single penny! They were very kind, helpful, and friendly!! I loved the amenities of this hotel, it was designed wonderfully, and they offered so many little details to your stay. Breakfast, a bar location, washing/drying facilities, bath salts, a smoking room, a microwave, and bikes to rent for free!

It was a nice place. Room size was good. Only down fall is it smelled like smoke even thought i got a non smoking room. Can smell the smoke from downstairs or one of the other rooms nearby that was smoking but not sure. Shower drain ran slow too. Everything else was ok. It was nice and on the quiet side of kyoto which was nice.

Booked this hotel for its convenience since it was pretty near from the metro station. Also it was affordable for a few nights. However, the basic bedroom is quite small (not surprising since it is Japan) but compared to other hotels it was too small. The cleanliness in common areas and bathroom were not the best. Really surprising for Japanese standards. Specially the toilet was dirty when I arrived. The greatest thing was their breakfast buffet. Best I tried! Fresh veggies, food and surprisingly tasty besides the variety (not a common thing in Japan for western people). Overall, it is a good option if you want to save money and just stay there to sleep. If you’re a bit picky I recommend to book the deluxe room or find other hotel.

I wanted to leave a 5 star but unforunately my room was not as clean as I would have hoped there was stuff under the bed. And the toilet bottom was unclean. As was the walls. The hotel is very fun and cool the staff are friendly and the breakfast was good. I might have just gotten a less then perfect room.

広い部屋で、他の部屋からの音も聞こえず大きめのベッドでゆったりできました。 ただシャワーカーテンに黒い点々がポツポツあったのは残念。 あと全室かはわかりませんが自分の部屋はオートロックではありませんでした。 (自分は構いませんが人によっては気になるかも)

一人部屋利用でした。シャワーカーテンのカビが若干気になるものの、部屋は綺麗で調度品もお洒落で楽しかったです。スタッフは皆さん愛想よく、口コミにあった通り朝食が美味しかったです。グリル野菜とスクランブルエッグとスムージーが絶品でした。いつかグレードの高い部屋も泊まってみたいなぁと思いました。

This boutique hotel is a converted dormitory. I stayed in a single room - with just enough space to do push-ups.The bathroom was odd as you had to take a step up to enter it. The tub is very deep and short, personally I would have preferred a shower stall. The lounge on the first floor is a great option when you dont want to hang in your room. The breakfast is farm to table (excellent) with lots of fresh grilled vegetables which are not easy to come by. The neighborhood is a mix of commercial and residential. Kyoto Station is 1km away. You could use the subway, however, it takes just as long to walk. Besides a Lawson I did not notice any coffee shops or restaurants within the surrounding blocks - the closest coffee shop is 500 meters away.

It's a bit far from the "action" around Kyoto Station and many places to see which are North of the station The property is retro-designed. However, - The room is very, very small. - They are still using a physical key. This is impractical for today's time. - You cannot open the window, which has frosted glass. - The bathroom is elevated, around 10 inches from the rest of the room. This is strange.

The room was big and even had a sofa. Also appreciated the seperate toilet and spacious bathroom. But what really stood out for me are the staff. Every single staff I encountered were super nice and helpful. I felt welcomed and it made my stay feel like home away from home.

Really nice hotel with a lot of style and charm. Rooms are a bit on the older side but pretty big for Japan. It is a bit far from the attractions though. Great breakfast that’s worth the price!

It is very close to a station, which makes it convenient for travel, and there is a konbini and neighborhood grocery store very closeby as well. The hotel itself has a very cool, modern feel. The room was spacious and beautiful, and the amenities were also very generous. When we left the "Do Not Disturb" sign on, staff kindly left a bag of new towels, water, and other useful items at the door. I'd highly recommend staying here!

The breakfasts are fairly good, and the lounge area is comfortable. The staff aren't as "enthusiastic" as those at the other hotels I stayed at in Japan, but they certainly weren't rude in any way. This hotel was absolutely perfect for our 2 night stay in Kyoto. The staff was incredibly hospitable and the rooms were clean. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet (large assortment of food) and laundry facilities. Unfortunately the dryers were broken - when i politely mentioned it to the staff they dried my clothes overnight and folded it for me free of charge! Very impressed with their customer service and Im very happy with my stay!

Good location as it was about a 10 minute walk from Kyoto Station. Room itself was clean and spacious, and the lobby was a mini art exhibit, which was neat. Special note on the excellent service - I had sprained an ankle and staff went above and beyond to accommodate (offered ice packs to my room, arranged for an extra night stay). Thanks!

Hotel Anteroom was our first stop during our visit to Japan. We only stayed overnight. The hotel is located about a 15 mins walk from Kyoto Station, which we managed well with our large suitcases. We were greeted by a lovely staff member when we arrived. She was quick and efficient checking us in, and were allowed to our room a little early. There was a small Kyoto city accommodation tax to pay. We stayed in the south wing garden room. It's a spacious room with the large twin beds and small seating area. It has a beautiful Aomori hiba tub, which was amazing to soak in after a long day walking, along with a shower. The room sized window looks out on a pebbled garden that lights up at night. There is a small store selling small goods and t-shirts, a smoking room, vending machine and ice machine on the first floor. We didn't use the bar or restaurant while we stayed. This hotel is only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station. The room was very comfortable and larger than most single rooms in Japan. Breakfast was excellent and had a lot to choose from. Staff were friendly. There is also a laundry on the ground floor which was very convenient.

This was a great hotel and the staff were great. The only negative is that it is a 15 minute walk in rougher sidewalks to the station. But other than that it was super clean, the staff were great and the breakfast was amazing.

The rooms in this hotel were quite spacious & bright. Magnets on the doors to request housekeeping or not - if not, towels and amenities provided by hanging on door. This includes a complimentary bottle of water which was a nice addition. Check in and out process was easy & I left my bag after check out to collect later. Did have to pay a city tax on check in. For travel, close to Kujo station for subway and Kyoto or Tofukuji for Keihan mainline trains. Overall the location is quiet, Lawsons very close and a range of restaurants within walking distance so everything that need.

Not so convenient to city centre (30/40 mins on foot); very clean rooms; comfortable bed; nice bar. If not taking breakfast at the hotel, there’s not an awful lot in the vicinity (you’d need to travel/walk at least 10 minutes). But it was spotless and the beds were large and extremely comfortable.

The property is amazing, about 15 minutes walk from Kyoto Tower and a few steps from the metro.The staff at reception were very friendly, the amenities were extensive, and the buffet was complete and delicious. Don't hesitate to request it because you'll be walking a lot. The hair products they sell are totally luxurious and highly recommended. I would definitely come back

A bit outside the city, though only 2 stops from the train station. Easily connecting with buses and subway to all our destinations. Hotel is artsy and has some perks, like the self mixed bath salts and a rapidly filling bathtub, the self flushing toilets, the deliciously roasted vegetable selection and the outstanding home-made granola. As others have mentioned, the the daily sandwich offerings and soups are meat heavy. The staff is friendly, usually someone speaks some English. The room size was adequate and the sofa allowed for a nice resting place for the larger suitcase. The smell in the lobby was fresh lemony and started our stay well.

Anteroom is a bit away from it all - which can be appealing after the hussle and bussle of being a tourist! But you do need to factor in more time to get anywhere. The building is not new, and may feel a bit off-putting when you fist walk in, but the designers have done a great job creating very comfortable and cleverly designed rooms. The communal spaces are both funky and practical I stayed in a single room and was happy with it- see photos. I had a window I could open. Unfortunately the glass in the window is frosted, so when the window is closed - you can't see out of it. I recommend asking for a high/top floor - to look out over the rooftops to the mountains. The buffet breakfast was pretty good - except for the pastries which I found bland, but the rest of the food was both flavourful and healthy. Would I stay here again? Quite possibly - if the rate was reasonable and I was staying for a few days and wanted some "chill time" while walking to trains. Otherwise I would stay closer to the Nishiki market area.

Das Zimmer war sehr modern, sauber und schön. Das hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Im Hotel war es ruhig und die Gegend ist ebenfalls sehr ruhig. Die Lobby ist sehr sehenswert. Einzig zur U-Bahn ist es ein wenig zu laufen (rd. 10 Min.) und das Frühstück fanden wir mit ¥2.000 pro Person etwas teuer (wir haben es aber nicht gesehen, da wir es dadurch nicht gebucht haben, evtl. ist es sehr groß). Alles in allem würden wir sofort wieder dieses Hotel in Kyoto buchen!

The location isn’t bad as it’s walkable to the Kyoto train station but there’s not much as far as restaurants around the hotel. The hotel has a bar but it isn’t open most of the time. It’s only open on Saturday and Sunday for only a few hours and the restaurant only offers breakfast. It’s a bit misleading as it’s advertised as having both a restaurant and bar but don’t let you know that you probably won’t have a chance to use it. I usually select hotel as it has these amenities. If that’s not important to you then this is a fine hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

Breakfast was very disappointing we ended up just leaving without eating. Overall I would say it’s less than a 3 star rating.
