Pesaro Palace

Beautiful palace with gorgeous rooms and friendly stuff. Very nice garden with seating options.. waterfront property , right by the public transportation and close to everything

We enrolled for a "superior" room. However, it was on the 5th floor, and the elevator only went to the 4th floor. We had two 45 lb bags and 2 carry-on bags, which we couldn't lift up the staircase to the 5th floor. The staircase was narrow and twisting, with no handrails. The toilet leaked, causing water on the bathroom floor, which I slid and fell on (I found the shut-off valve and we had to shut off the toilet after using it. The front desk gave us towels to wipe the floor, but made no effort to repair the leaky toilet); a chair leg was broken and lay beside the chair; the a/c didn't work; the room was only cleaned upon request. The only redeeming feature was that the front desk allowed me to use their phone to report a stolen wallet.

Good location, great view and spacious room. We specifically booked the suite- a peek into other rooms from the hall proved them to be much smaller. Brocade, velvet and a Murano chandelier. A bit run down around the edges- very Venetian. Lacking in service. Snafu with a water taxi request, towels not replenished, dirty glassware not cleared from room. Terrible breakfast! Cappucino was from an automated machine and STILL was lousy! 24hr desk was not manned when we returned from dinner at 8pm- waited, rang the bell and finally went behind the desk to retrieve our key. Bar was supposed to be open but ‘bertender needed a day off’. Not a cheap place to stay! Definitely better value out there!

The hotel, located in Campo S. Sophia on the grand canal was a 15 minute walk to the train station to the North or 15 minute walk South to Saint Mark’s square. There is a water bus stop located just outside the front door of the hotel as well as water access for water taxies. The room was clean and quiet. We had a slight view of the grand canal from our bathroom. The ceiling was at least 16 feet tall and the decor is what was described as Venetian. There is a nice garden with a sitting area and a view of the grand canal out front of the main entrance to the hotel. The hotel is a nice quiet spot just 200 feet down an ally from the main street. The hotel staff were polite. The continental breakfast had a small variety of items and was perfect to fuel up your morning start your say in Venice !

I would have rated the place higher, as it is extremely well located right by the vaporetto stop. However, we were stuck in a room more suitable for 1 person. With our 2 suitcases and hand luggage, there was barely any room for us to move in the room. Seriously, this should not have happened at all. There were other issues with the room too - electricals looked really old and DIY, safe didn't work, room smelt musty. So we asked for a better room, and unfortunately nothing was available that day, but she agreed to move us next day. The new roon was WAY better, twice as large and we were happy with the way the issue was handled. Breakfast is good, staff friendly and helpful. Overall, t he hotel is actually nice, could be more, E.g. The outside garden is very nice but it's not inviting to sit there, the cushions look like they need cleaning.

Great location with its own water taxi dock! The rooms are all very big and have all the amenities. The staff is really helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

The hotel was in a good location but there was no restaurant or bar in the hotel,breakfast was very basic and Barbara on reception was very friendly and helpful.

The property was in a great location, it had its own pier, was close to the water bus stop and in walking distance to restaurants and sites. The hotel had a lift and 24 hour reception which was handy. The feel, furniture and style of the hotel had a great feel and character. Our room was huge! And it had a fantastic view of the canal (we selected this).

Rooms are like staying in a palace! Right next to Water Bus stop (#1 line), so buy the day or multi-day pass to get around the city easily and see all parts of Venice and nearby islands with unlimited trips. Otherwise each water bus ride is expensive. Easy to get to hotel with luggage by water bus... water taxi not required. Also can hop on/off and walk the narrow streets.

We stayed in a suite overlooking the canal. Beautiful experience and hotel was spacious and clean.

Bella struttura nel complesso. Peccato che la camera era cosi da 20anni credo! Una moquette che aveva ormai cambiato colore, avevo paura di poggiargi i piedi nonostante i calzini. Vicino la porta del bagno c’era un battiscopa ammuffito e per ultimo non per importanza, delle tende sporche di cui una con evidenti tracce ematiche. Mi dicono al check-in per qualsiasi problema usare il telefono in camera chiamando al 9. Il telefono c’era ma non era collegato! Lo faccio presente in reception ma rimane cosi per i restanti 4 giorni. Nel frigo-bar (spento) nemmeno 1 bottiglia d’acqua di cortesia. Che dire solo una grande colazione e posizionata di fianco la fermata del ferry.

The Pesaro Palace was very nice! The room was comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. The staff was friendly offering many recommendations and e cell ent directions. The Pesaro Palace was conveniently located to the grand canal, only minutes from the Rialto Bridge and about 20 minutes from SN Marco Square!

First room had ants in it on ground floor. Got quickly moved to another clean room without ants. It's spring so they wanted to say hello. Wonderful location. Staff was great. Rooms was fine for a couple. I would have them add more outlets or places for you to plug in USB devices.

Everything was great at our arrival, great location, looked clean. But I was unable to sleep because something started to bite me. I thought they were mosquitos but instead they were fleas, I kind led five of them and took them to the lobby. The staff was like no issue just move to another room. Didn’t really care about the damage. We were uncomfortable after that. We also asked for an extra hour to check out and the declined arguing they will charge us a late fee. I had bites in my elbows, legs and forehead.

Great location, staff were all friendly and helpful. The room overlooking the garden was beautiful and clean. With breakfast included it was great value for money.

Out of the 4 rooms we booked, none looked onto anything resembling a view… not the property’s fault, but just disappointing to only look onto a wall or a roof.

This was my second time staying here. I chose the suite that overlooks the Grand Canal. I was not disappointed! The room is amazing! It is extremely large with a massive Venetian Chandelier hanging over the bed. The doors opened to a very tiny balcony on the grand canal. This hotel offers great breakfast and it located directly on a vaparetto stop. Its location is fantastic! I will forever stay at this hotel in Venice!

Very convenient location , rooms large for central Venice

Huge room and huge and comfy bed! And the price was really nice! Everyone was very friendly and the breakfast was really good!

I had no issues with the location, staff, and service. The room however was attic space converted into a room, with numerous issues, like it was hot in the room and the airconditioning was largely useless, some closet doors wouldn’t close, no lift to the your floor forcing you to carry your luggage up a winding staircase. Fortunately for us it was comfortable outside, and we could open the windows. However the bottom line is I won’t be coming back here. :( Of course this is only one room, and one experience, so you have to factor in cost versus all the other factors.

We were in room 401. There was no air conditioning in the room. We asked two to three times for them to turn the air conditioning higher since they control it from the front desk. Nothing happens. It’s midnight at this point and the employee on staff gives us a fan and says “it says it is working on our end. I’ll put a note for the morning staff” next morning we ask the front desk ir there was any note about our air conditioning problem. There were no notes. It wasn’t worth complaining since we were checking out the next day.

the building is beautiful and i loved the outdoor garden. so convenient that the water ferry stops just outside the hotel Enrique (front desk) was incredible. his recommendations were perfect. i would stay there again.

Our stay was amazing. Front desk staff was very helpful. The rooms were very nice. The location is very good. Enjoyed the old world ambiance. We highly recommend the hotel.

Disappointed with this hotel. This is a mixed review. I was excited upon arrival because they checked us in earlier than check in time which is unusual given the location…As we entered the room the first thing I wanted to see was the scenery… here began my worry… they gave us a room with a view of the garbage storage area. I paid for a premium room… then when we turned on the water in the bathroom pure dirt and black water came out for about 10 minutes. When we went to the front desk the young lady advised us that the hotel was closed for three days because they fixed a major plumbing issue. We never received notification of this when we booked nor upon our arrival. She made it seem as if it was nothing and that it would clear up. No offer to change our room, then caught an attitude because I explained to her that I did not feel comfortable using the water. We used bottled water to brush our teeth. Next morning we decide to go downstairs and enjoy breakfast before starting our day. We wear our nice pajamas that look more like loungers and the waitress gave us the dirtiest look, asked for our room number and didn’t offer us coffee nor water as she was doing with others. Felt very unwelcomed. Next day she was the same despite having full attire. I guess she didn’t think we belonged. The hotel is kind of nice the bed is comfy but overall the service is not good and the fact that they didn’t care about the water issue was upsetting and concerning…

Staff are lovely and friendly, it was really helpful that we can leave our luggage. Check in was very quick and convenient. Breakfast was very nice. The room condition can be a bit old and the plugs and cables could be dangerous as some were exposed. Other than that, happy with the stay

Good breakfast . Location and accessibility to transport network is probably one of the best in Venice Excellent bed and very quiet .

This property is located just next to a water bus station. You can take the water bus to get here from the train station, and also from the hotel to the train station or to the airport bus station. We walked from the train station to the hotel and it was not bad at all, only about 15 minutes walking distance. The hotel is located at the end of a small alley so you need to use your phone to guide you there. We took the water bus (9.5 Euro per person per trip) from the hotel to the airport bus station, and spent 10 euro per person to get to the airport. I would recommend to do so, very cheap and convenient. I don't think you need any Taxi service at all although taxi - I mean water taxi here - can take you everywhere with convenience but expensive.

Staff are very friendly. We had a good sleep and room is big. The hotel is just a minute walk from the water bus.

The location on the Grand Canal was just wonderful. There was a water taxi stop directly in front of the property which was very convenient.

Déception au vue de ce superbe hôtel ou la chambre est froide (chauffage max 19°) et le petit déjeuner dans un immeuble voisin car impossible sur place. Séjour raccourci d'une nuit par la déception de service et en plus nuit non remboursée ... Plus jamais cet hôtel
