Cleopatra Luxury Resort Sharm El Sheikh

We asked to be as close as possible to the reception and got a room that was at the very end of the resort, which required at least 15 minute walk every time we wanted to dine or use the amenities. The toilet was leaking, and a strong sewage smell was in the room. We had to go to the reception 3 times because our keys got deactivated over and over again. Talking with the manager brought no results at all besides saying sorry. It was overall very disappointing.

We enjoyed our 10 day stay at the Cleopatra luxury resort. The food was good with plenty of choice each night, and the staff were all very friendly. Special mention to Ezzat & Moustaffa around the pool who went above and beyond to ensure we were as comfortable as possible. The only drawback for us was the gym which could do with some refurbished.

The resort appeared to operate at a basic functional level, with many staff and managers present but limited coordination overall. While the resort was clean, the service quality was inconsistent. Some staff members were very good, but in general, attentive service seemed to depend heavily on tipping; without tipping, guests were often ignored. The buffet and drinks did not meet the expectations of a 5-star resort. Buffet staff appeared insufficiently trained. The food was acceptable but unremarkable, and the drinks were of very low quality. Desserts mainly consisted of very sweet items, such as gelatin-based desserts or filo pastry soaked in syrup. While the food was visually appealing, it lacked flavor overall. Evening entertainment was enjoyable, and the resort is family-friendly, which are positive aspects. However, considering the overall service, food, and beverage quality, the experience felt more in line with a 4-star resort rather than a true 5-star experience.
