The place is quite clean, no street noise, convenient for someone who catch bus. But the room is lack of storage, there is no hanger for my jacket and no secure storage for my snowboard board bag, I have to put it underneath the bed. The dryroom need to be more organised with some drying rack, not wirer. Laundry is expensive $6 a wash n $6 for dry.

Great modern hostel on the lakefront a short 5 mins from the centre of queenstown. Good rooms and clean hot showers. Comfy lounge with pool table. Parking can be tricky - like most places. A hot tub or sauna would be a great addition to the hostel a day of skiing!

This is my second time in Haka House Lakefront Queenstown. It’s always a good experience. I stayed in a 4 bed ensuite toilet. The place is very clean and new. Bed is comfortable. They do have a huge kitchen where you can also food with complete kitchen stuff. There is a locker too but you have to provide your own lock. People are so nice and the environment is really friendly. I highly recommend.

The only things that I could say were a little less positive was my check in, no one was at the front desk as it was late, the self check in did not find my reservation and I did not have a phone so I could not call the night number so I had to wait quite a while to find someone who could lend me their phone. The second thing is that the laundry went up by 2$ since 9 months ago which I think is an unnecessary raise but I can still understand.

部屋にあるシャワーヘッドが近代的で他のバッパーでは見たことがなく、共用バスルームのシャワーも含め水圧が充分あった。シャワーカーテンの使い方を知らない人がいるのか、シャワールームの床はびしょ濡れだった。ウォーターサーバーや給湯器がなくお湯は湯沸かし器で沸かさないといけなかった。町まで少し歩かないといけないが、湖沿いを散歩しながら行けるので不便だとは思わなかった。町から離れている分静かに過ごせたと思う。

Comfortable bed and great having the curtain on the bed. Tiny room for 3 beds - tough to have 2 people sorting out kit let alone 3! Shower fans need a clean but overall great place to stay. Lovely outlook!

Overall good place but issues were as follows: - lockers in room were unusable as the beds backed onto the lockers so you couldn’t actually open the locker doors. This led to major storage issues in the 8 bed dorm and a rather cluttered room. - quite a walk into town compared with other places (I hurt my ankle on a trek though so may have felt longer than it actually was)

The property itself is decent, but I would highly recommend to book atleast 3 months in advance if planning to go to Queenstown. The highlight of this property is the location, its top notch, you get the beautiful lake view and all the activity decks are just on the 5-10 mins of walking distance away and bus stop is just next to the property. So, location wise 10/10
