Los Gatos Garden Inn Hotel

Wonderful older otel saint and tradition. Clean excellent rooms. Towering cypress trees and a rose garden. beautiful neighborhood. Short walk to town square and shopping, restaurants. Great for avoiding modern sterility. Clean room and bath, easy free parking.

We have stayed here and had good service and pleasant rooms in the past. This time was a complete disappointment. The room seemed to be under construction. They seemed to be changing the bathroom to ADA compliance. The huge, doorless shower was joined by a low toilet jammed into a tight corner. Combination towel rack/grab bars were hung at awkward heights. The bedroom’s overhead room fan was not working. The room darkening drape was torn at the top corner and did not close out the light from outside. One of the four bulbs in the overhead light was out. The venetian blind in the bathroom window would not lower after opening the window. The bed was comfortable, the linen was clean but we were very disappointed in the room. It was not a last minute reservation. We have visited yearly in the past.

The room was kind of clean but there was at least a half inch space between the bottom of the door and the threshold the wind. The dust blew right underneath the door. I tried to get out of staying another night but they said that since we had paid for 2 days as a package deal that could leave if I wanted but they wouldn't give me any money back. There was spider webs and dust bunnies all over the ceiling. There was no soap in the bathroom. We called the front desk they said come pick up a bar of soap. They're doing upgrades and people are working on rims. Very close by where we were so it was very noisy. Dusty dirty.

It is definitely not the most modern hotel and needs some cosmetic updates BUT there is a lot to love. Location is perfect, very walkable, safe and lots of parking. They have free coffee and snacks in the lobby which was really nice after a long drive. The bed and pillows made for perfect sleep. It's quiet here. Bottles of ice cold water in the fridge was another thoughtful touch. Staff could've been nicer (smiles go a long way). Would definitely stay here again.

Friendly staff, great location, cute property. The parking was a little tricky because of the lot size and access but figured it out. Room was very clean and fresh smelling. I loved the air filter in the room.
