There was absolutely nothing special about this hotel, which I found extremely disappointing. The room itself was mediocre at best, the view out the window looks down on a massive construction project, the pool was cold and had mold dripping off the walls, the breakfast was underwhelming and the food was as cold as the dining room. Things I had seen such as a free mini bar or hosted happy hour were not true either. All in all, a colossal disappointment. If this is the “concept” that Hyatt had in mind, they should go back to the drawing board. I’ve had better stays in hotels 1/4 of the price.

The service and the staff are for sure the most attentive, kind and warming personal I have found and I have stayed in almost every hotel Is clean and modern, and feels warm and has this comfor feeling among the whole building However the standard rooms are a bit too compacted I would highly recommend suits and duplex (specially in the corners) for a complete and unforgettable experience Everything is really good, if I had to be critical about something I would go for the breakfast time, they require sit you in a table and the space is not very well distributed and if someone is beside you is a bit uncomfortable specially if you need have a conversation or a phone call

1st time in the Andaz Xintiandi in Shanghai, really surprised, how it was. Check-in and Check very efficient and very friendly staff, well speaking english. Room was a good size, bathroom very special, big and very clean. Comfortable bed, soft drinks at the Minibar for free, only the TV channels are very bad, half of them no signals and not really many english channels. Xintiandi only 2 minutes walking and very easy for find a good place to eat. Subway station just max. 5 minutes walk away. Breakfast Buffet was exceptional good with a great selection for everyone. Will definetely coming back again.

I've been staying at this hotel for close to a decade now and still keep coming back. I have noticed that the rooms are showing signs of aging and wear which is a bit disappointing. Also, there is massive construction on one side of the hotel and for the last 3 trips they have put me on the construction side. Maybe chosse a "city view" if available when you book.

Das moderne Zimmerdesign, das für meine Buchung ausschlaggebend war und auf offiziellen Zimmerbildern gezeigt wird, konnte ich in meinem Zimmer leider nicht vorfinden. Stattdessen war mein Zimmer eher altmodisch eingerichtet, mit veralteten Möbeln und Fußboden, die deutliche Gebrauchsspuren aufwiesen. Da sich direkt neben dem Zimmer eine große Baustelle für einen neuen Hochhauskomplex befand, wurde vom Hotel vorsorglich ein Gehörschutz bereitgestellt (siehe Foto). Eine vorherige Information über solche möglichen Unannehmlichkeiten hätte ich sehr begrüßt. So fühlt man sich als Gast definitiv nicht ernst genommen, insbesondere in einem Haus dieser Kategorie. Positiv hervorzuheben ist die hervorragende Lage des Hotels, umgeben von vielen guten Restaurants und Cafés in einer ausgesprochen schönen und ruhigen Umgebung.

I had pre-paid so they did not have a deposit to hold for incidental purchases. They did not want us to leave our card and asked us to pay for everything as we completed it. Sent out for laundry and it never came back. Had to call the desk to search for it, and was told that since we did not have a deposit we had to pay first before receiving our laundry. There was no message sent to us regarding the fact they were holding our laundry. We had to go and find it. Same ordeal when buying breakfast/drinks etc.. it was not a normal Shanghai hotel experience.
