Casablanca Inn on the Bay- Exclusively for Guests 21 & Over

Bed and breakfast feel but private space. Courtyard common space was nice and cozy. Easy walking distance to shopping and dining. Breakfast voucher and drink voucher was a nice feature. Very quaint! Only bad part was figuring out where to park a little complicated but we eventually figured it out.

Paid for balcony room but carpenters took it over. Noisy & dirty so we couldn’t use the balcony. Breakfast was good.

A nice older Victorian located on busy street. Front of house had busy martini bar and restaurant. The room in which we stayed was in a separate building behind main house. The room was nicely furnished with antiques and updated private bathroom with shower jets and offered cable TV. The room came with 2 complimentary martinis from bar and full breakfast for 2 in the restaurant. Both of which were superb. The downsides were the street on which our rooms faced was quite busy and loud with both foot and automobile traffic. The electrical outlets were faulty and a possible fire hazard. Parking was free but off-site a very short walk away. The hotel is within comfortable walking distance of historic downtown. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would probably stay again.

Great location and accompanying restaurant has excellent food. However, room was very dissapointing. TV/satellite was very unstable almost unusable. Bathroom vent didn't work so when going number 2 smells would linger in room. Bathroom had a lot off mold and cellular shade above room ac was thoroughly disgusting. When light frrom the outside shined through it you could see it was filled with mold. I had room 9; outside deck was horrible. It faced alleyway where kitchen garbage and employee break area along with abundant cigarette butts and employee trash was directly below in plain view. Furniture had tears. Other than location my room/stay was worse than a motel 8 I stayed at once. I didn't think it could get worse, especially at 4 or 5 times the price. Sadly, I was wrong.

Great spot and room. You get breakfast each morning and a martini each night (x2) very convenient and good. During part of our stay we had breakfast at Mary’s since the restaurant was being renovated and that was right next door. It was very good as well. Recommend this Inn! We’ve now stayed here 3 times and are planning the next.

Only reason I give this place a 4 on property & facilities is because the driveway situation is a little scary. I hate backing out of tight spaces and that’s what I had to do after pulling in to check in( there is no where to run around). The front desk lady was very kind and said they could assist me backing out if needed but I decided to give it a go. Parking for this place is about 2 blacks down but if you’re someone who is fit to walk it really isn’t a bad walk to and from your car. Besides the parking/backing out this place was phenomenal and I will definitely be going back! If you’re someone who loves live music please get a room with a patio/balcony in the coach house, it will make your day!

Martini Bar and restaurant are excellent! Our room was nice with plenty of character, hot tub and the balcony area had comfortable seating.

The parking and the martini coupons and the breakfast included made this a great value! The Tini Martini Bar and Nero’s Cafe have excellent drinks and food!

The property is in an AMAZING LOCATION. We love the Martini bar. Didn't realize it was attached til check in. Everyone was very friendly the entire stay. Would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay here. Great price!! The amenities made it even better!!

Excellent location! Staff provide very good service. However the overall condition of the property lacks attention to deatials such as cleaning, good housekeeping and extensive maintenance. The rooms flloors need a deep clean because you can't walk barefoot without feeling you are walking on the beach. When taking a shower at nigth you need to leave the hot water running at least 30 minutes to get some. In the morning is another story there is no easy way to control the hot water and the cold is eaither burning hot or cold as ice. They need to give more attention to this. It seems the main attention is focus in the dinning and bar area.

It's such a great location and the place has a lot of potential. The staff was really nice, the martinis were great and so was the free breakfast. Unfortunately the what seemed like sewage smell in the room was awful, thankfully we were there for only 1 night. Also, every area in the inn could use a deep clean and sanitation. Just keeping it clean would make a huge different in this place.

Staff was extremely nice and my room was very comfortable and clean. The mattress was perfect and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. They have their own lot but it’s off-property, that’s honestly the only thing I could possibly complain about, but it’s St. Augustine - it’s great that there is parking at all.

Great area and easy to walk to places. The breakfast and waiters were amazing. Pics are misleading as when you stay at the inn you don’t have access to the balcony unless you are staying in certain rooms. Not impressed with the receptionist/check in or room AT ALL. Bugs were everywhere in the bathroom. Had to keep the door closed so they wouldn’t come into the sleeping area. Reported it to the front desk and they already knew about it. Unfortunately at 10p no where else to stay. Just disappointed with the response. Couldn’t even use the shower/bathroom area it was so gross.

This was a great place to stay, perfect location, wonderful bar and $30 toward breakfast in the morning at their cafe as well. Very clean and comfy bed too!

I’ve stayed at Casablanca a few times. This time was a bit different. The service was not as friendly as before, and the room was not as clean. There were multiple roaches in the bathroom. Probably the last time we will stay here. What a bummer.

We love this place! My husband and I have stayed here 2 years in a row for our anniversary. The convenience can’t be beat and the service and extras are great. Although it is older, it is very clean and has a lot of character.

Very cute room and comfortable bed. Enjoyed the porch and Christmas lights. Location was convenient to shopping, coffee, and Nights of Lights. Could have been cleaner (floors, corners, details such as very dusty bathroom shell mirror). Shower needs repair, as some of the knobs did not work. We were only there for one night so it was adequate for our stay. Staff was very welcoming and friendly.

We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but had to leave and get refunded. The room smelled like mold/mildew. It was bad. We stayed for a little while with the fans on, but it didn't help. My wife's throat started to hurt and she then started to have breathing issues. We were offered another room fur the first night, but they didn't have anything available for the second night. We decided it wasn't worth staying and risking our health. I just read a few other reviews where black mold was mentioned. With the rate they charge, there's no excuse why they can't fix this problem. I will notify the health department. There location is great. The staff is great. The room was nice. FIX THE MOLD ISSUE!!

Room was cute and clean. AC was right next to the bed which kept room cool at night. Staff was really nice, they made guest feel special when dining at restaurant or bar even though it was open to the public. The only concern was the showers need to be updated, they had mold in the grout. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

The Casablanca is a unique inn with large, beautifully appointed rooms and dining on site, if desired. It is located in the center of the waterfront area and very convenient to all the attractions there. The showers are very large and fancy. On the downside, the room A/C units were a bit noisy for our liking.

The room was absolutely adorable, staff friendly, and the location unbeatable. However, we checked out a night early due to not being able to sleep the first night at all. Due to the location, it was very loud from street noise (this is obviously no fault to the hotel). The bed in the room was also very old, uncomfortable, and sounded like an explosion any time someone would move. Our room did not have central AC and the window unit was also very loud. The room had a lot of windows but without usable curtains and the shaker blinds did not help much in keeping light out. If you are an easy sleeper and noise and light do not bother you, I would recommend this hotel.

We had a hard time getting our luggage up the stairs stairway seems narrow, but we were able to get someone to help us… parking was far from hotel. The room was cute and historic no microwave or fridge

I have stayed at this Inn many times but this was the first time we stayed in the main house. The room we thought we were booking wasn’t what they had us for but we normally love our accommodations . The pull out couch , when opened had a dirty liner on it and I think it was the original mattress from the antique couch. We chose not to use it and managed on the couch and bed. The floors were sticky esp in the bathroom, I have given 5 stars on previous stays but I was not too impressed with our room this time. Sorry Casablanca. I would have just told the desk clerk had they asked how our stay was.

The room was absolutely perfect. Cozy, but not cramped. Surprisingly quiet. And the bathroom and shower were really impressive! I also really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the morning. The food was great and so was the waterfront view!

Great location, comfortable bed and good breakfast & service. Unfortunately, there was no hot water in either sink and no cold water from one faucet. The water for the shower was lukewarm, at best. Overall, disappointed based upon the hotel room rate.

Central location with a great view of the bay. They even gave us free martini vouchers and breakfast included. Warning to plus size travelers room 9s bathroom is a bit tight. Also, there was no mini fridge or microwave. No real complaints though. Balcony view was great, bed was comfortable, designated sitting area separate from bedroom, and comfy fresh robes available in the room. Staff was very friendly and accomidating, be sure to say hi to Tini the grounds cat!

We absolutely loved the convenience of the location to walkable shopping and dining. The free drink coupons for the Tini Martini bar and breakfast vouchers were great and it was delightful sitting on the porch seating area. Our room was quaint with a very comfortable bed, two arm chairs and nice bathroom with whirlpool tub and sizable tiled shower. The bathroom was a little tight for larger people to get into the shower in front of the toilet - we were in room #6. Perhaps the thing we were looking forward to the most and was disappointing was the private patio. The entrance was convenient but the noise from the HVAC on the other side of the tall privacy fence panel was bothersome. It rained a couple of times and even though the patio was covered it dripped onto the padded patio couch and chair so we couldn’t stay out there and enjoy the shelter. There were doors that connected to the kitchen from the patio as well which was a little strange. One looked as though it had suffered from a fire but was never replaced. The main entrance to our room from the narrow quaint hallway felt like we were entering through a broom closet. It was a tight entrance and made obvious sense to load and unload via the private patio. The lobby and morning coffee was super convenient down the hall and by the registration. Super quaint place - if we stayed again we would choose a different room not near the heating and cooling units.

Oh my gosh where do I start? Staying here was a great choice, it\'s convenient to most areas of St. Augustine, but staying here was so much fun. First the staff. They were all young wonderful people. They were ready and able to help you with anything you needed. The breakfast was the best we had on our two week road trip. Yes, the hotel part of the property is elderly but kept well and right in front of the nay where you can watch to boats. In the front part of the building in "The Tiny Martini" bar. That too is a fun place to sit outside and sip something from their extensive drink menu. It too is run by all young adults who go beyond what is expected. My daughter and her family just moved to St. Augustine you can be certain that we will stay here again.

All staff members are phenomenal! We had a different waiter nearly every meal/cocktail hour and they were ALL very friendly, knowledgeable and quick! Manager Victoria is very responsive and awesome as well!

From the moment we got there we felt well cared for. The maintenance person helped carry our bags up the stairs, receptionist brought us extra towels in the pouring rain, and the waiter made sore we got exactly what we ordered for breakfast. This far exceeded the lack of enough cutlets to plug in devices

Loved the location and how close it is to everything. First time we stayed was the farden room and loved it henxe which is why we went back. Thos experience not so much Wasnt happy with some of the staff. We felt like we were bothering the staff when we went to get our martinis. Was told to go to the hall by check in and wait for our drinks. Paid $460 to stay overnight and felt that was extremely rude. No reason to make your customers feel that way.

We stayed one night to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived early so our room was not ready so we were told we would get a text when it was; we didn’t. Otherwise the location and accommodations were wonderful. The room was more than adequate and clean. As part of our stay we got two complimentary martinis and breakfast for the next morning. We will come back again.

The Staff is so friendly and welcoming. Both the ladies who checked us in and out and the waiters in the restaurant. The breakfast was delicious and the views from the restaurant were beautiful. Close to the water snd all the restaurants and shops :)

The Inn is charming. On site bar is lively and nicely decorated. Bartender was attentive and martinis were good. Parking is off site, but they have a spot to pull in to unload. Rooms are spacious. Beds are comfortable. Receptionist was very friendly. Great location. I’d stay here again

This is a great boutique hotel overlooking the bay. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and surprisingly quite. The location was perfect with plenty of dining options and sights nearby. The breakfast was cooked to order and the complimentary martini in the martini bar was a real treat. This is now my go to accommodation whenever I visit St. Augustine.

Hotel is very old and very noisy....Young college age people roaming around and very loud at nite,,,,Bar next door with loud music....Parking is free but not convenient as it is several blocks from hotel....Check in with car on Charlotte street at the rear can be difficult....Area is full of hotels, many better choices....

Clean room, great location. Nearby restaurants, shops, very walk-able!

I loved the coziness of the room, the little details gave it such a fun and unique vintage look. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Staff was super helpful and friendly. It's in a great location. Only dislike our room was on the back side of the property and our porch led to the street while super convenient at night when people left the bars it gets pretty loud.

Located across from the water and by the fort. It was also easy to walk to all of old town and there was never a need to drive after checking in to the hotel.

If you want cookie-cutter, stay somewhere else. If you are looking for something unique with old school Florida charm, STAY HERE..! Love the location overlooking the water, and the ability to walk to the square downtown. Their cozy little bar and the restaurant overlooking the street / water were both great. Our booking happen to include two free drinks at the bar and a complimentary breakfast for two (unsure if all stays include this). Small private parking lot is about a 1 minute walk. Our stay was in late January, and to our surprise, all the Christmas lights were still up (St Augustine is famous for their Christmas lights downtown). Our first floor room was in the front / main building (Room #3). It had its own private access to the back alley, providing quick access to the many cool little shops and eateries. Looking forward to our next stay at the Casablanca!

This was a delight - too bad that it was the coldest night in ages and we couldn’t enjoy our balcony! Only other issue was that the bathroom could use some updating and the tub could use a repair. The FOOD was AMAZING and the Tini Martini bar was fun even for us old folks!

The shower in the Secret Garden Room was amazing! The drinks at the Martini bar were delicious, breakfast with a water view was beautiful. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I booked a suite for our wedding anniversary and the stay was less than enjoyable. The check in process was easy but we had to dodge kitchen equipment and tripped over trash in the hallway walking to our room upstairs. The room was very small for a suite and only had a very small window unit for AC that was way too small for the area of the rooms. The shower was incredibly tiny and took about 10 minutes to supply hot water. The most disappointing part of this stay was, upon check-in they offered us free martini coupons at the attached lounge, Tini Martini. When we came back to the hotel after exploring, the bar said that they were closed, even though it was 45 minutes before their advertised closing time. I understand that it was a slow Tuesday night, but I felt they should at least serve people renting a room there. Definitely not impressed with the stay. The only plus side was the breakfast in the morning and our server Patrick was phenomenal. Overall, we would highly recommend checking other options for rentals in the area.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We loved the location for shopping too. We each had a voucher for the outdoor Martini Bar on site and great free breakfast there too. Waterfront and lovely
