Super cute small hotel! We loved the room and shower. Nice big tv that my husband liked. LOL It is walkable to everything. We never had to drive or uber. Great location for walking to the Funk Zone and several restaurants. The pool and hot tub were also very nice.

The drink upon check in was a nice touch. The pool area was a little dated, and for some reason the pool was almost unbearably hot during our stay. Maintenance worked on it, but it put a damper on our stay.

Clean and well kept, quiet property, one block to the beach. We stayed over the Fourth of July weekend, and location was great for us. It was easy walk to the West Beach, fireworks/festivities. Little longer but relatively easy walk to State Street as well. Nice pool area as well.

The staff was very helpful. Loved the homemade cookies and fruit in the lobby. However, be aware there is no mini fridge in room and only one available ice machine near pool area. We had to take walks serveral times to obtain ice. Bringing home leftovers from various restaurants was not available due to no area to warm them up. This is needed for a hotel who caters to families. Nice walkable distance from the beach, shopping and restaurants.

What a sweet little spot just a couple blocks from the beach! Pros: Cute, modern, comfortable rooms. Pool and hot tub (more private than the hotel pools on the main beach boulevard). Walking/biking distance to harbor/wharf/beach and shops/bars/restaurants. Fresh baked cookies! Bike rentals. Friendly service. Reasonable price for the location. Cons: No streaming services. No pool bar. No water refill station. Dated hallway.

Terrific inn near the ocean beach and Harbor - so easy to walk anywhere which is necessary because there is no restaurant. The room was nice very clean and comfortable, but a bit small if for more than1 person. It’s been redone but the AC is an old unit and goes on and off- often waking you up, it’s a bit loud and right next to the bed. Staff was great and pool and spa nice as well. I’d stay again for a short beach vacation. Really only the AC kept me from a higher rating.

Mason beach inn was great. You could tell it was freshly renovated and well kept. Our room was clean and everything was in order. Although this inn didn’t have breakfast, there was always coffee, tea, oatmeal cups and cookies in the lobby. There was also keurig coffee in our room. Upon checkin we were pleasantly surprised by 2 free alcoholic beverages of our choice. We did use the pool and jacuzzi which both had comfortable temperatures. The inn was a great walking distance to Stearns Wharf and yummy breakfast places at the funk zone. I would highly recommend this place.

Wonderful boutique hotel. Walking distance to beach, restaurants etc.. but stood out the most is that it was so clean, safe, and comfortable. Highly recommend if you like boutique hotels. No food accommodations so breakfast etc, are off the property.

Great location, close to beach, restaurants and staff is excellent. Pool is nice too. Only thing we didn't enjoy was the heavy fragrance of the room that lasted the whole stay. Like an air freshener smell. I would still recommend!!

Mold!! I wish we had noticed earlier. Upon check in the only issues were the floor was a little dirty and the smell of whatever cleaner they use was super STRONG. We opened up the windows and left for the night. When we got back the smell was still strong, with the windows open for 5 hours! I got the kids ready for bed then took a shower, thats when I noticed the mold! It was all over the shower ceiling you could see it under the paint!! The fan in the bathroom barely worked so that is provided why! It was already 10pm and the kids were asleep but we should have left then. The kids are very sensitive to mold and woke up itchy everywhere, sneezing, congested etc. . I was up late worried about staying in the mold, then got woke up at 6am with a delivery truck right infrint of our room making noise for 20 minutes! Paying $350+ per night I did not expect it to be like that. I informed the front desk in the morning and not even a sorry or any concern. They just said that since we didn't book direct they couldn't do anything. So disappointing!!!

My first time staying at the Mason Beach Inn wasn't too bad. There were a few things I did not like about the stay, such as: - The walls being paper thin (so you can hear your surroundings, especially if you're by the pool. - Also hearing the sounds of the shower or the sink from the next room or above you if you're on the first floor. - I noticed there were a few hair strands on brand new towels, and I discovered a silverfish in the bathroom (just one). - Last but not least the parking is a bit compact. Other than that, the aesthetics of the room itself was really nice, not far from the beach at all. Walking distance to be exact. Also the bed was very comfortable.

We received 2 free alcoholic drinks at check in and the lobby was always stocked with fresh coffee and cookies. The hotel location was fantastic, just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and Stearns Wharf. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very clean, newly renovated with a nice decor that has the Santa Barbara vibes. It's walking distance to the beach but it does not have beach views. Easy parking on the property. The front desk staff was very friendly. We were given complimentary welcome drinks and there is tea, coffee, cookies and fruits available 24/7 at the lobby. I'd highly recommend this place to couples, friends and families.

Very helpful and friendly staff. We visited on a very busy 4th of July weekend. Very short walk to West beach to see the fireworks! Rooms are small but clean. I wish there weren't a mini bar in the room so I could use the refrigerator.

We had a room where the entry door was actually outside and at the top of the stairs and across from the elevator. There was a gap at the bottom of the door which let noise into the room.

This hotel appeared to be one of the best presented and higher quality hotels in this this quieter area of town. We stayed in a suite that was spacious and well equipped with fridge, sink, microwave, sink - more than comfortable for family of four with teenagers. Pool and reception area was nice, welcome drinks and free coffee and cookies throughout stay nice touch. 5 mins walk to beach, 10 mins walk to State St. and 15 mins to Funk Zone. Felt perfectly safe walking at night so would be put off by location.

After Check in and over 30 minutes in the room, a staff member walked into our room while my GF and I were in the act and stood in the room for a second. WHAT AN INVASION OF PRIVACY. The staff never apologized or offered us compensation for the invasion of our privacy and had an air of arrogance towards the situation when I complained especially the front desk staff. IF YOU VALUE YOUR PRIVACY I WOULD AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.

It is an Inn but priced like a hotel. Front desk seems least bothered about customer service and satisfaction. All queries and issues are just shrugged off. But the Inn is neat and clean. Good coffee and great cookies at the lobby. Super convenient location and parking. Just wish the customer service was better.

We really enjoyed our stay and the front desk staff were amazing. The room was nice and quiet. We will definitely be back. The only issue was that there was a cleaning cart left in the hallway the whole time we were there. It wasn't appealing to see a housekeeping cart with towels and stuff there day and night. May want to put it away if not being used by housekeeping.

The hotel is very clean, newly renovated with a nice decor that has the Santa Barbara vibes. It's walking distance to the beach but it does not have beach views. Easy parking on the property. The front desk staff was very friendly. We were given complimentary welcome drinks and there is tea, coffee, cookies and fruits available 24/7 at the lobby. I'd highly recommend this place to couples, friends and families.

Mason beach inn was great. You could tell it was freshly renovated and well kept. Our room was clean and everything was in order. Although this inn didn’t have breakfast, there was always coffee, tea, oatmeal cups and cookies in the lobby. There was also keurig coffee in our room. Upon checkin we were pleasantly surprised by 2 free alcoholic beverages of our choice. We did use the pool and jacuzzi which both had comfortable temperatures. The inn was a great walking distance to Stearns Wharf and yummy breakfast places at the funk zone. I would highly recommend this place.

Clean and well kept, quiet property, one block to the beach. We stayed over the Fourth of July weekend, and location was great for us. It was easy walk to the West Beach, fireworks/festivities. Little longer but relatively easy walk to State Street as well. Nice pool area as well.

My family stayed here for a birthday weekend in Santa Barbara. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly. A one-night stay probably doesn't give you a full impression of a hotel, but I enjoyed my overnight at the Mason Beach Inn. The property was clean and well-appointed, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was within walking distance of the beach, Stearn's Wharf and downtown Santa Barbara (not to mention the S.B. Amtrak station, where I arrived and departed). One bonus: excellent wi-fi.

This hotel appeared to be one of the best presented and higher quality hotels in this this quieter area of town. We stayed in a suite that was spacious and well equipped with fridge, sink, microwave, sink - more than comfortable for family of four with teenagers. Pool and reception area was nice, welcome drinks and free coffee and cookies throughout stay nice touch. 5 mins walk to beach, 10 mins walk to State St. and 15 mins to Funk Zone. Felt perfectly safe walking at night so would be put off by location.

Prime spot! It was a block from the beach/pier, a block from Chads (must try for breakfast, don’t let the long line deceive you it goes quickly), the hotel has cruise bike rentals for $10/day, walking distance to State St where food and entertainment are located. There are unlimited coffee, tea, cookies, apples and oatmeal in the lobby. I brought my own coffee cup, water bottle for refills and less waste. Lots of street parking if you wnt to save on parking fees. Staff were friendly. I would definitely come back again. My only complaint is the jacuzzi was super dirty.

We stayed here for two nights. It's a nice little boutique hotel. We wished if parking would be free. It's paid. Every other hotels in surrounding areas has free parking. It's convenient and walkable to the beach. No breakfast provided but coffee and fresh cookies are available.

Great boutique hotel. Coffee maker in the room and mini bar with tons of options. Every morning they have the piping hot coffee and delicious cookies waiting for you. Beds were extremely comfy and the room was spotless! The pier, tons of award winning restaurants and nightlife are all within 10min walk. Definitely would stay again.

Terrific inn near the ocean beach and Harbor - so easy to walk anywhere which is necessary because there is no restaurant. The room was nice very clean and comfortable, but a bit small if for more than1 person. It’s been redone but the AC is an old unit and goes on and off- often waking you up, it’s a bit loud and right next to the bed. Staff was great and pool and spa nice as well. I’d stay again for a short beach vacation. Really only the AC kept me from a higher rating.

Our stay at the Mason Beach Inn was very pleasant! The rooms were nicely decorated and the staff were so kind! The complimentary coffee and tea, plus cookies and oatmeal, was an extra perk of staying here. The area is also very walkable to State St and the beach. I will definitely stay here again for my next Santa Barbara trip!

Fantastic hotel, really clean and well kept. Location is fabulous. Every member of the staff were fantastic and could not do enough for you. All very helpful and efficient. The pool area is beautiful and after a full days adventure it was lovely to come back and chill by the pool. Great that pool is open until 10pm too. We would recommend this hotel every time!
