Great Value Inn

I might have caught the hotel on a bad day, but the keycards were not operating, the room itself was not particularly well lit and the room was not in great condition. Also, during my stay, the elevator was not functioning.

We booked this last minute when another reservation fell through. It was cheap with vacancies so we decided to book. The elevators were broken and the stairs were repulsively dirty. The room was large and the a/c was cold is all the positive I can say. The covers were itchy and I saw a roach in the bathroom. No microwave or fridge and the pool was empty. It served its purpose for a last minute, cheap booking but I wouldn’t stay here again and don’t recommend.

Very, very run down. Elevator and pool out of service. Guy at desk showed us room first as apparently many want their money back.

Checked in after hurricane beryl for ac lobby was hot as hell no elevator 40 dollar deposit required at time of check in so add an extra 40 to ur payment. Stairwell disgusting and smelled of weed. Hallway dimlit and smelled of pee soaked diapers. room smelled of mold. Stained walls and floors had stains and food crumbs everywhere roaches in fridge tears and burns in bed spread only clean place was in the bathroom but even still i disinfected everything my husband 3 yr old and i stayed for three hrs cooled off basically and could even feel confortable enough to take off our shoes. Nonrefundable room so out 78 buck. Decided to continue sleeping in the car instead of that nasty room. Used to be a great place to stay but its gone so far downhill it needs to be condeemed.

No smoking in rooms. The elevator didn't work. No remote no chair in the room.

The elevators don't work and the place is very low budget. The place should be taken off the app.

Do not come here I warned you guys stay away!!! nothing works the elevators broken. There’s no ice machine. The first room they gave me the shower doesn’t work and they moved into a room with no no refrigerator or microwave and kept the that information from me until I am settled and refused to allow me back into my old room to grab my left behind food in the refrigerator

Very cheap and diry. Nothing is as advertised on the website. Microwave and tv in the room did not work. The microwave provided to share in the lobby is not clean, build up of food and scum in it. Furniture in the rooms are old, dirty and not functionable. The walls and hallway is stained ans diry. The elevators have been out of service for years. Breakfast is not included. The pool is not in service. The water is green with debri in it. With all that being said, we did not encounter insects in our room suprisingly. You get what you pay for.

Elevator didn’t work had walk four levels up and down daily toilet handle broke had take top off flush toilet sink was clogged had to let it drain slow

I will say that i was thankful to have somewhere to lay my head, but there is nothing to like about this property. The room was the worst room and stay I've ever had! The room was filthy! The fride, and microwave were filthy there were french fries, noodles,l and food containers under the beds. The roaches were in the fridge and restroom The entire hotel is filthy.

Absolutely filthy, black mold in the bathroom, dirty linen, and bedbugs.ive already sent a video of the bedbugs and mouse dropping to expedia.

It was not clean and German Roach infestation nasty nasty gross. The Staff treats Black people like trash, do not stay at this horrible hotel

It was horrible . I’m in the 3rd floor ceiling from bathroom started leaking last 4 days n smell like very strong urine it was reported to front office who did nothing they wouldn’t switch my room n they fail to refund me my money . I believ the toilet up stairs is leaking into my room that why there’s such a strong urine odor instead of fixing the problem they demanded more money from me n they have roaches

This is not the place anyone should stay at. Not only did it smell horrible in there, but it was infested with roaches, condition of the unit was so ugly and terrible. After complaining about roaches being everywhere from the ceiling to the floor and bed!! I was just given another room which has the same condition, i wasted 3 nights of pay since they did not want to give me a refund!!

The rooms where terrible .. very dirty

The place was rundown and unsafe, no outlet covers, smoke alarm was disarmed and missing. Broken mirror. No lamp shades. Bedbugs everywhere when I turned the comforter down and on pillows. Broken nightstands. Mini fridge was pulled away from the wall and trash was behind it along with backplate just leaning against the wall. Dangerous, dirty and needs to be condemned. I knew by the price it wouldn’t be great but I had no idea a place like this could legally be in business. Where are the city inspectors to make sure rooms are safe?

It was extremely dirty and old. The bed was full of cockroaches and bedbugs. The bedsheet was stained with blood and dirt. The lighting was poor. It was the worst experience of my life. I will never come back here again.

Cockroach in bed. Infested. Full of trash everywhere. Like a war zone. Wifi didn't work in 4th floor. Elevator not working. Mo light in room, so dark.

Came here because it was cheap. They put me in a dirty room where gnats were flying around and it smelled. Second room they gave me the lights didn’t cut on. Third room they gave me didn’t have a deadbolt nor did the lock actually lock. You could walk right in. I settled for that however TV DIDNT WORK. THE AIR CONDITION UNIT WAS FALLING OFF AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY FILTHY. I STAYED THERE FOR SEVERAL WEEKS AND NO ONE CAME IN TO CLEAN ANYTHING. I WASHED ON OWN TOWELS. If hospitality is what you’re looking for GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. THE OLDER MALES ARE RUDE AND LAZY. the furniture comes from resale stores. At least a microwave and a fridge were provided. You might as well pay the deposit with cash because I cleaned the room myself before I left and I still haven’t gotten my deposit back. It’s great that nobody bothered me my entire day. It shouldn’t take 2 to 3 days to fix a hot water problem when the bathrooms y’all provide within the room aren’t even clean. The lights above the mirror in the bathroom there were six of them three only worked. The other three were dead and not to mention the area around that was filthy as well. The sink got clogged up. No one came to fix it. I had to ask for tissue.

The staff was friendly no problem with that. The hotel was hands down the worst hotel ive ever stayed in. Elevators didnt work period. Had to use stairs and as luck would have it, our room was on the 4th floor, the top of the building. I only saw one real guest besides me and my girlfriend, the rest were sketchy characters, dopies and drunks hanging out at all hours of the day and night. Roaches and only 1 light bulb for the entire room and its fixtures! The worst of it all was rabbit ears connected to the tv with no remote!!! Geez never again

I got bit all over. The water pressure was terrible. One morning I lost all water pressure while showering. I had to run out covered in soap to buy a couple gallons of water to rinse off. The staff closes the doors at nighttime to demonstrate they have "no vacancies". One night I had to force my way into the hotel to get to my room. The second night, I had to force open the door again and the manager yelled at me that I left the door open the previous night and asked me if I leave the door open to my house. I told him if I were a paying guest in my own home, then yes. He then threatened to kick me out of the hotel if I refused to close the door myself.

The rooms are pretty nice for the most part but the wifi here in the hotel sucks especially in the room they gave me. The staff are pretty straight forward with the check in. They do charge a $40 dollar deposit. But overall it's a pretty chill hotel.

The room had a musty smell The TV remote was tricky to use The microwave buttons didn't work Old smelly carpet The side of the building was shady looking Some transients were hanging out in the parking lot The metal track going into the property that you drive over was worn out , bad for tires

I called the day before arrival just to verify the reservation. The attendant said he could not find a reservation and I would need to call back the date of arrival after 8 o’clock in the morning to make a new reservation with the hotel. I told him it was booked through Hotels.com And he said they erase everything at night so I would have to call the day of the book which doesn’t really work if you’re trying to book a month-long stay. So the day of our expected arrival I called again and the attendant at that time said yes we should have a room Available for you to come on in at this point. I was not going to take a chance on whether or not there is actually a room available and I found alternative method of stay.

I made a reservation for this location several days in advance. Upon arrival they could not find my reservation, even when I gave them my confirmation number. The desk clerk said they did have one room left and told me I could go and look at the room to see if I wanted to take it before he charged me. The first sign of alarm was a customer complaint board posted at the desk with reports of bedbugs and roaches. The only available room was located on the 4th floor and the elevators were not working. The hallways and stairwell were poorly lit and there was an unpleasant odor in the facility. We never made it to the 4th floor. By the time we reached the 2nd floor landing we were regretting our choice of this location but EXTREMELY GRATEFUL our reservation had been lost. We found a much nicer hotel a few miles down the road that was able to accomodate us. My biggest mistake was not reading the reviews before booking this facility.

Tried to check in after reservation was confirmed & front desk denied me because of saying no room after I drove 30 mins.

Staff did not at an office in the time i check in I have to wait more than 30 minutes

Terrible, nasty, should be condemned. Elevator doesn’t work, building is nasty, smells of weed and cigarettes. Front counter workers are rude and don’t know how to use the computer system. I booked for a week and stayed for a night, no refund. Got to the hotel from work my room was rebooked to someone else because they never put me in the system as having that room. Cops and ambulance was there because someone OD’d in the hallway. The room had exposed electrical outlets, spliced wires on the a/c unit, stained carpets, missing bulbs in the bathroom and no lampshade on the lamps, beds sheets weren’t washed they had cigarette ash all over the sheets and burn marks on all the furniture. I slept in my car because it was midnight and I had to be at work at 5am. This place needs to be shut down.

No hot water at checkin. Slpet the night and woke up ready to take a cold shower and there was NO water running at all. Staff was extremely rude about it also.

They didn’t give me back my deposit

I was perturbed by the fact that I had to leave a deposit that the property would NOT return for 3 business days. I did not find that out until I checked out.

Place is good but the vibes around the motel are bad

Was threatened in the parking lot. As we were getting ready to check out a man was aggressive with us leaving our room to check out. No remote for the tv. Room was sleepable. But very run down. Not a place to stay if you have children. At check out the man running the desk didn't want to give us our deposit back. Said had to check the room but never left the desk to go check the room. Finally gave the deposit back. Would not stay again. If you are looking for a place to sleep amd never leave your room Then maybe you want to check this place out morning is a lil quieter than night. Looks like some ppl live there. There is a small fridge and microwave. Water is hot to take a shower. Just dont stay here. Looking for positives about the palce but i dont have any. There is a pool but not sure i would let my dog swim in it. Looks clean but thays it. No one was in the pool while we were there. Small dark parking lot. Only place with some what light is ghe front of the building.

I was on expedia looking for a hotel in Houston, this was a member's special so I THOUGHT it would be ok...first of all, the staff was great and the room was ok, that is not the problem...the problem is that when I walked in to the hotel, I immediately had the overwhelming smell of marijuana around the whole bottom floor, and it got worse as the evening went on, thankfully my room was not affected.. later, in the evening I went to get some fast food to eat in the room and OMG!!! I know it sounds bad by saying this but the people in the lobby and parking lot(it was packed with people laying around) looked either like hookers, homeless or just dregs of society, I really didn't feel safe there.... will not stay ever again but that being said, again the staff was very accommodating and even asked me to check my room before he took any payment, that was not the problem, it is the people staying there....

The property had homeless people in front of the building, also on the side. Bugs in the room. The lamp did not have a lampshade for the air condition was not working. The elevator was not working. The bedding looked DG and dirty. The carpet was filthy. television was not working

The stuff are unprofessional and they don’t even speak proper English. The place packed by people using drugs. All night you hear someone walking in the whole way and talking to loud. Unsafe place

the hotel was very horrible ,i rented it for 15 days and i was regretting it every day i was there , ROOM 115 down stairs 1st floor , i refused to go to my original room on the 4th floor because i had to climb up on the stairs , broken non working elevator , halways were dimly lit , the room smelled , the pool was closed everyday i stayed there , i know for a fact no one from you're website ever stayed tgere vecase it was all lies , i want a full refund of my money , cigarette burn holes in every comforter & sheet , non smoking bedrooms , and i don't smoke , holes and tears on chair , stained carpet , flat pillows , air conditioner didn't work 1st room was very cold , TV remote didn't work broken bathroom door , rusted shower rod , no continental breakfast as i was told sign is old , pool door locked and I was told by hotel attendant " you rented a room not the pool " NO REFUND AFTER YOU PAYED " NO guests after 9pm. , hokes in tge walls , i almost was almost shocked plugging in a light , no wonder it was not plugged in sparks shot out from outlet that was hanging loose , air conditioner plug was hanging on the carpet underneath air conditioner , the bedding was never changed or made by house, keeping , same towels in bathroom every day , i had to go to front desk to get my own toilet paper , i was ashamed were i was staying and never invited anyone over , that was my first room there for 4 days , I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU CAN HAVE A SHADY SLUM HOTEL ON YOU'RE WEBSITE !!!

The prices were fair, but for the amenities provided it should have been free. I was first put in a room on the 3rd floor then told after the fact the elevator was broken. When asked if there was anything on the 1st due to an injury they said that there was nothing they could do. Further there were broken chairs and appliances in the hallway. In my room the AC didn't work so I had to purchase a fan. They advertised free breakfast, but waited until they received payment to say there was nothing provided. They do not even provide ice and barely wanted to give me extra towels. This was a terrible place to stay. I do not recommend.

No maid service or housekeeping. No working tv remote for 22 days...the entire duration of our stay claims pool and breakfast inline neither were available for the entire stay...room dirty at checkin
