Al parecer tienen muy poco staff , y con el hotel lleno. Lo cual les hace complicado dar un servicio de calidad, los empleados se notaban un poco cansados / desconectados. Las albercas estaban muy sucias.

Loved the idea of this “many stairs” hotel but there should have been more explanation of the no elavator, no bellhop, stairs everywhere, built on hillside! We are seniors and the place was visually beautiful, but our knees were not happy with the down and ups of it all. Also no jacuzzi was even warm, after climbing 3 flights of stairs! The rain shower in our comfy room was wonderful after all!

Patio Azul was a nice surprise. During our last visit to Puerto Vallarta, we stayed at a hotel about a half-mile up the road, but this hotel was a much better choice for what we were seeking. It only has a handful of rooms so the experience is a bit more personal. The rooms were well appointed and all but one have excellent ocean views. Our room had a private patio and the hot tub was just a few feet from our door. The staff was extremely welcoming and engaging. The views are beautiful with a very personal bar and dining space within a few steps. We were also presently surprised by the dining experience. Both my wife and I are lactose intolerant, so it was exhilarating for her to know the French Toast was made with lactose free milk. It was so delicious she ordered the meal on back to back days. I enjoyed a vegetable filled omelet with chorizo on the side. Top the meal off with fresh squeezed OJ and a tasty margarita and we could not have asked for more. The outdoor cushions were a little worn and on our last night the guests above us made a lot of noise in the middle of the night. This was not the fault of the hotel staff and would have been addressed had I decided to go to the front desk to notify them. There are no phones in the rooms, so any requests must be made in person. There are quite a few steps and all rooms require using the steps for access, so if you have limited mobility this hotel would not be a good choice.

Es la segunda vez que me quedo en este hotel, me gusta mucho porque es súper privado y te desconectas de la sociedad, lo único que no me gustó esta vez fue que los 3 días la alberca se notaba sucia (turbia) y el jacuzzi caliente el primer día estaba en mantenimiento y los otros dos no estaba caliente, de ahí en más todo perfecto. La atención de la camarera, de Dani en el restaurante y de liz en recepción 100/10

A hidden gem! Incredible views and sophisticated design elements- love this place. Downside is no elevator and no bellman to help us up and down a long staircase to our room. WiFi was inconsistent also. Still a great value.

Gorgeous views, very clean, extremely comfortable beds, quiet surroundings. The food was excellent, the air conditioning was outstanding, the showers had hot water every time, bottled water was provided, and the staff could not have been better. Freddy is exceptional, kind, professional, and knowledgeable, he will make your day every day! I couldn’t have been happier! Town is a short taxi ride away, and so is the beach. The only down side is that the spa is closed.

The hot tub isn’t working. That was a big reason that I booked this hotel. They have a big jacuzzi hot tub.

Stayed for 4 nights/5 days and enjoyed it immensely! Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was nice, no issues. Amenities (pool, hot tub, gym, soaking tub, restaurant) were all decent. However the most amazing thing was the views! Up on the side of a mountain made it very difficult for walking back to the property (we used Uber every time we left the property), but you were rewarded with some of the nicest views of Puerto Vallarta and Conchas Chinas Beach! Very reasonable rates, clean rooms, dining on site was reasonably priced and decent food as well. Would definitely stay here again

The property was quiet and peaceful. It had beautiful vistas of the ocean, the rooms were lovely and clean, as were the amenities for the most part. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the food at the restaurant was tasty. The only negatives were some of the lounge chairs looked a tad dirty and the location was less accessible, so required transportation to and from the main attractions. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and I would return again.

Not worth the price tag. When we checked in, they tried to make us pay again. Hd to show whole transaction record to prove we had already paid. Staff barely acknowledged us the entire week. Jacuzzi was a tepid pool with jets. Room was clean- kind of. Residual toothpaste on the bathroom wall, etc. Be aware that this hotel is quite a hike up a windy narrow road with no sidewalk!! Looks close to amenities on the map, but reality is that it is a $100 MXN every time you want to grab a coffee or go shopping. They got 2/3 stars from me as it was not terrible, but definitely not great.

Les falta más limpieza ,las sábanas estaban manchadas ,faltaba plancha secadora en la habitación y carta de alimentos falta mayor variedad

The rooms are beautiful...The only bad thing was They never cleaned my room the whole time i was there. Never took clean towels.

If you're wanting a good affordable bed to sleep in after a day of being out from morning until bedtime then this place is for you. However, we had no working A/C the entire 3 nights we were there and it was very hot in the evenings, which made it hard to sleep.

What a beautiful room and hotel facility! The sunsets and views are breathtaking. I’d definitely recommend this special place for a romantic and relaxing getaway.

The hotel is beautifully decorated with an abundance of colors. The views are extraordinary. We were promptly checked in and were upgraded to a lovely ocean view room. Our room was gorgeous, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom had a soaking tub, a magnifying mirror, and a rainfall shower. I had to keep the door open though, there wasn't much circulation of air in there. The AC was nice, but the fan wasn't working. Also, this place is not accessible at all. I dreaded the stairs daily. The restaurant was yummy and the staff was nice. I highly recommend this hotel.

Well, the a/c wasn't working the second night , the mini fridge didnt cool and it leaked water on the floor . The room has a musty oder, the burger which was the one and onlt thing I ate was terrible. Not sure if Id call it ground beef. Not to mention all the stairs no elevator and not handicap friendly.. but for

The room is modern new and has styles with stunning sea views. All staffs are very friendly and greeting us.

Overall the property was fine. Great views. Cool restaurant/bar area (although small). Room looked nice and was spacious. Biggest issue was that the air conditioner in our room made a clicking/knocking noise that made it very hard to sleep. The fan also made an odd noise. The fan would also turn itself on even after turning itself off so I had to sleep with the remote next to the bed so that I could turn it back off when it would turn itself on and wake me up. Those two issues made for a very poor night's sleep. To be fair to the hotel, I did not say anything to them so they didn't have an opportunity to fix it. We were only staying one night so I didn't feel it was worth it. Had we been staying multiple nights, I would have said something and it's possible they would have fixed it or moved us to another room. The other issue was lack of staffing. There was one guy running the entire restaurant and bar the night we were there. He was super friendly and very nice, but the service was absurdly slow as he had to take all orders for the whole restaurant and bar, make all the drinks, run all the food, etc. all on his own. All we ordered were a couple of margaritas and pina coladas and it took about an hour to get them.

- Best about this place is the super helpful and friendly staff - amazing views and almost every room gets partial or total sea view. - decent restaurant for a hotel with an astonishing view of the south side of the bay. - uphill from Conchas Chinas beach, the location is just a 6 mins uber ride to zona Romantica/ centro but retired enough in an area with private villas to escape from the buzz of the streets when sleep time comes. - enjoyed walking downhill to conchas chinas beach and from there walk along the beach and paths all the way to los muertos pier and have breakfast in zona romántica after. - the only potential improvement area in the facility would be to boost internet wifi signal with enough strength on every room. Half of the time I couldn’t watch anything on smart tv or connect to wifi on my cell from my room because signal was weak. - highly recommended.

The front desk staff was rather unwelcoming during check-in, and they charge for everything—I was even billed for a replacement key when I accidentally locked mine inside. The manager is neither accommodating nor friendly. The bed was uncomfortable, and the bar closes at 9, even on weekends. I was also harassed by staff via WhatsApp over a dirty towel, which could have easily been washed. Overall, it was a terrible experience—I will not be returning. Ps - there’s no elevator

The view is the star of this property. I wasn’t too pleased with my room, and there were issues with the key when I arrived and when I requested my room cleaned. I received exceptional assistance from the cleaning staff anytime I had a request. Only one bar was open during my stay and there was no actual room service. Overall, I recommend the property but I don’t know if I would stay again.

Please inspect for ants. The tub leaks water while draining. Recommendations: 1. Start breakfast earlier than 8:30am. 2. Offer a complimentary drink or cold water upon check-in. 3. Hire staff that are fluent in English. And/or train them to use a translate service.

Tenemos una experiencia buenísima a esta hotelito. My friend and I found this place last minute after getting scammed on Vrbo, and we could not have been happier to stay at Patio Azul. It was beautiful, the staff were so friendly and nice, and it had absolutely everything we needed and more! Can’t wait to go back!

I’ve been coming to Vallarta since 1989 and always wondered about this property. So, I booked it. I was so happy after 8 days, I stayed for 6 more. It’s like staying at a million dollar villa in Conchas Chinas. Staff was tremendous and I felt like I was their only guest. The restaurant let me have special orders off the menu. There was always staff to serve you with anything. Best view in Vallarta included. Three dipping pools with different temperatures. 6 stars from me. Thanks Carlos, Arturo, Joelle and the whole staff. What’s spectacular - the views. What’s lacking - the service. Technology not working at check-in, water shut off twice in three days, housekeeping forgot towels and asked us to come and retrieve at the front desk, maintenance left their shirt and tools in the closet?, restaurant was meh (food and service). Bed was hard, pillows lumpy, and towels course - not luxury. Front desk could not be bothered. If you are looking for value, views, remoteness - this is the hotel for you.

We will be staying at this hotel moving forward for all our trips, but it is isolated and difficult to get around to. Having Uber downloaded is a must.

This property is perfect if you are looking for quiet. It is far enough from downtown making it great for a good night sleep. It is a 6 minute drive or 30 minute walk to all restaurants, cafe and where the fun is. Since it is up a hill walking is not suitable for all, you may want to walk down and get an Uber to go back because it is a workout. The beach is close by as well and public transportation is easy to use and safe. I loved how my room looked and how friendly the staff was. The views of the sunset from this property were amazing!

Love staying here. This was my third time. Very cute hotel with great restaurant and spectacular views of the bay. It’s so quiet, yet only a short drive to zona romántica and to beautiful beaches.

Beautiful hotel with great rooms and amazing views of the water and the bay. The restaurant was good and the pool seemed good though a bit small. The hotel sits almost at the top of a hill, so the views are beautiful but the walk uphill is definitely not. But taxis and uber aplenty, we didnt have any trouble at all. Very close to romantic zone and the city in general, woukd definitely recommend!

A beautiful hotel with attention paid to all of the decor details, perfect for a couples getaway. Amazing views, we were able to watch whales while having breakfast at the hotel restaurant. It's a bit of a walk from The Zona romantica and downtown PV, about a half an hour with some good hills. But honestly if you're on vacation and you have nothing else to do, why not walk through the beautiful neighborhoods and see all the flowers and lovely homes? Also a quick and cheap cab ride if you prefer.

We researched and chose this hotel because we wanted ocean views. The views of the water from our room were breathtaking! Just be aware that due to its location up the mountain you will need a taxi every time to come and go. I would book here again.

Honestly, I have been travelling for many decades, and I have stayed at countless Hotels, Motels, from Boutique Luxury Spas to Holiday Inns and Motel 6 & 8's. The Patio Azul is by far the best property I have ever stayed in Mexico. The staff is fantastic, friendly, warm, and caring. I am already dreaming of my next stay there!!! (Caveat Emptor: If you have mobility problems navigating lots of stairs, it is not the right place for you. No elevator or lift. Also, the wrong place for those looking to party, get high, or cruise for men or women; definitely not for you. Also, it is far from the town, not walkable to restaurants, cafes etc. And nowhere near the beach). But the restaurant has very good food, although it closes early -- 9 PM is the last call. For those looking for peace & quiet, lovely views of the ocean, even for the rooms without the view -since there are terraces on each floor -- and to be treated with respect and kindness, this place is WONDERFUL!

Our stay was very nice. The only down side is that it’s far from the town and you have to either walk to town or take a Uber or taxi. It’s a long walk down and it’s very steep. Very quiet area and very comfortable! The food could be better and there’s a wait time for the food even if you are the only one waiting. As well as the cleaning could be done a little more precise the floor was still dirty after they had came to clean.

Beautiful boutique hotel with one of the best views in Puerto Vallarta. The room was decorated beautifully and the bed was incredibly comfortable. All the amenities in room you could ask for. There is a restaurant and bar on site by the pool you can sit and watch the sunset. We will definitely be back.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The view was amazing and we could watch whales out in the bay for hours. The staff was very friendly and prompt to deal with anything we had a problem with. That said, one of only two outlets to plug our phones in or anything else, did not work. The one in the bathroom. They fixed it the next day. Our TV went out on the 5th night and was replaced and working by the next night.(we were gone most of the daytime hours) We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and Edgar the bartender and server was fabulous! Food was great. The oatmeal for breakfast was the best! Large serving with nuts and fresh fruit on the bottom! I really wish we would have been able to see some of the other available rooms as they all are different and I'm so curious. The area is very quiet and if you rent a car, there are spots to park right in front. You will not want to walk down the winding very steep hill (to catch a bus) or especially if you have to walk back up! We rented a car and came and went everyday and night with ease. Very friendly local neighbors come over to the bar and restaurant too, so you know its good. It's less than a mile down the road to the downtown area and the Malecon walk but far enough away to relax at night. We will definitely be back again next year or maybe even in the fall.

Luis is in charge at night at front desk. He recommended the hotel’s delicious restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Patio Azul serves better food than you will find in most of PV. He was right. I had mixed fruit plate with yogurt and granola. The fruit was so sweet. I also had 2 eggs, pinto beans, ham with tortillas and salsa. Their green juice was so good too. Luis also recommended a day trip to Yelapa. OMG! It is an adorable little sea side town with beautiful waterfall. Thank you Luis! Erik
