Very disappointed to discover that the Radio Rooftop bar, one of the main destination points of this hotel, was closed for a private event. The fact it was closed is understandable; the fact we were advised of this only 24 hours before we arrived is unacceptable. Clearly they were worried about guests booking alternative accommodation if they had more notice, so decided to take the cynical, money-grabbing approach. Very disappointed as the Melia brand is normally customer-centric….this has made us think twice about using any of their hotels again.

Property is located right in the West End area. Reception is.... stunning. You have to see it to believe it. One of the most unique hotels I have stayed in . We stayed in 3 hotels in our 10 day stay in UK and France and this had the largest rooms as well as the best service ( the higher price was worth it ). First room had a door issue....was minor but staff went above and beyond to accommodate. Rooftop restaurant is amazing ( although service up there needs help.... didnt consider that part of the hotel experience ). Highly recommend.

Quite disappointed in what claims to be 5* 1. I asked re rooftop bar closure (notified after I booked and paid) - email never replied to. Asked again when we checked in and given different times - but no alternative. 2. Aircon didn’t work in room 3. There didn’t seem a way of separating recyclable waste from normal waste (as I’ve had in other hotels) 4. No mention of service tax at check-in - we tipped accordingly for our stay, and then was asked to pay the discretionary service tax at checkout. When I questioned discretionary or compulsory the lady half shrugged her shoulders. I declined to pay 5. The room was billed as a king bed - it was a double (there was no room for a king size) The hotel is in a great area and the view from the balcony was fantastic, but I would not count this as 5*

This hotel was not only très chic but also conveniently located and within walking distance to many attractions! I also loved the fact there were several restaurants associated with this property and their rooftop bar/Radio was so classy and had a beautiful view of London!

Best location!! This was my first time in London and I was traveling solo. I was greeted by Judy and she showed me to my room, which was very kind! The ME hotel is the perfect spot for walking to all of the attractions, it’s also only one block away from the river, which has a nice walking path as well. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My favorite part about the room was the view and the shower! It was surprisingly quiet for being located in the middle of all the shopping areas, so I was able to sleep very well! The steakhouse restaurant in the hotel is one of the best meals I have ever had while traveling, that’s saying a lot! I will 100% be back, and highly recommend this hotel.

The stars and service question and rating are subtly skewed as the hotel itself the staff was phenomenal and top tier. However, the restaurant staff on property for Luciano by Gino D’Acampo was utterly horrendous, waited 45 minutes for water refills and only received because I got up to ask for them, not much was done at all about the issue other then restaurant management making excuse of being short staffed, but she couldn’t be bothered to check on us or anyone else knowing that? We received a 20% discount upon checkout and lodging a more formal complaint in the lobby. We had reservations for two months and made it our last meal in the UK and couldn’t had been more disappointed or let down. The hotel nice, their restaurants, I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Great area but that’s about it. We paid for a superior terrace suite and ended up with an accessible room which felt like a hospital room. Upon arriving and taking a shower after a long journey the entire bathroom flooded including the carpet outside of the bathroom. Housekeeping had to come dry it but the carpet was wet for the remainder of our stay. Dinner at STK was mediocre. Next morning the fire alarm went off in our room due to something nobody could figure out. Maintenance came in with a ladder and had to work on them at 7am. Spoke with the manager and they took 50 pounds off of our dinner bill. Couldn’t believe for the amount of money we spent that our room and experience was so lousy. Really dissatisfied and would never stay again.

Overall a great value for the price, however, I've stayed here for the past 10 years and this visit I started seeing it's age. The rooms need a bit of a facelift and seemed older and a bit untidy. The staff was awesome.

The hotel was very modern and clean. The staff were very friendly and the check in process was efficient. We got there around 11am and our room wasn’t ready. However we were offered an upgrade and immediately checked in to our room. Our luggage was delivered within minutes. Customer service was A . The location was in central London and in the middle of everything. There were plenty of restaurants especially near Covent Gardens. It was easy to get around using the underground. I highly recommend.

I rarely leave a review but we absolutely loved our stay. It is rare to get a large room in a hotel located in a big city. Our room was a standard suite and we had a large bedroom plus separate living area and enormous bathroom. Everything was very modern and clean. Hotel is located near theater district which is a busy area but we found it easy to either walk or use tube to get to all neighborhoods we wanted to see. Room was on 4th floor and very quiet. We would absolutely stay again.

This hotel has a good location, with rows of cute restaurants and bakeries and more starting just mere meters away. There are bus stops just across the street and train stations less than a 10 minute walk away. My mom and I loved being so near covent garden and also being in the center of all the tourist attractions we wanted to see. We weren’t too far from any of those sites, less than 1 hour of travel to most districts, and London is such a walkable city that you just walk without realizing how far you’ve gone. The only things that we would criticize are that there is a service charge every single time you do housekeeping for about £20 which we were not aware of. Had we been told that, we would have skipped every other night. Also, if you like to take baths after the long day of walking, our room did not include a bathtub so that might be something to keep in mind. But for the most part, the service was amazing and the staff were kind and the hotel was clean and modernly tasteful. We would come here to this hotel again in future trips to London.

I have never before thought about not writing a review of a hotel. The reason is very selfish. This hotel is so very good and we always want to find availability when we want to visit London again. It is just amazing. The location is perfect. It is right in the middle of Covent Gardens. There are so many transport options from the hotel. There are so many places to choose to eat. The rooms are so big for London standards. It has giant king size bed . It has modern plumbing. The best part of the bathroom is that the toilet is separate. The rooms are also very modern. There is also a turn down service in the evenings. We just love this little extra spoil. There is a kettle, nespresso machine and a mini fridge in the room. And to top it all, the hairdryer is a Dyson. The staff at the hotel are wonderful, helpful and friendly. The breakfasts are incredible and so are the views from the breakfast room. Now, you can understand why we would like to keep it a secret.

The photos of this hotel are not what you will see. The round white beautiful seating area, for instance, is for guests with ultra exclusive suites, and not accessible to most hotel guests. And the outdoor seating area is usually covered and fully enclosed, even in August when we went. Our room with a view had a small round porthole of a window, though this site showed a huge window with a great city view. Apparently half the rooms have tiny windows, and they blame Hotels.com for having incorrect photos. The room decor was also nonexistant, even for my taste which lean toward minimalist. The whole experience was very disappointing. On the upside, the location of the hotel is excellent and the lobby is very pretty.

Opted to upgrade the room for a “ river view “. Couldn’t see the river at all with buildings in front. Could see into neighbouring balcony’s. Room was terribly basic,. The most narrowest room ive ever stayed in. Premier inn has more sqft. No mini bar, no coffee machine, hardest, thinnest mattress. White padded walls made it feel like an asylum. All for a measly £850.00 can only presume rate was inflated for Pride weekend which we wasnt in London for.

Stylish hotel but maybe too stylish.... corridors are very dimly lit with black mirrors, makes it quite difficult to find your room and door handle Room itself is the opposite and completely white, however, no blackout blinds and a translucent window meant minimal sleep!

I rarely leave a review but we absolutely loved our stay. It is rare to get a large room in a hotel located in a big city. Our room was a standard suite and we had a large bedroom plus separate living area and enormous bathroom. Everything was very modern and clean. Hotel is located near theater district which is a busy area but we found it easy to either walk or use tube to get to all neighborhoods we wanted to see. Room was on 4th floor and very quiet. We would absolutely stay again.

On arrival the customer service was exceptional. We were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and were taken to our room in person by the receptionist. She walked us into the room and showed us where all the things in room are, even walking out onto the terrace

Booked a room at the ME for my girlfriends birthday for us to get to the hotel and be told they had overbooked the rooms and there was none left and there was nothing they could do about it as they physically didn’t have any rooms. So was left in London on a Saturday afternoon with no room and prices had dramatically increased with no other option but to get a room elsewhere

Quite disappointed in what claims to be 5* 1. I asked re rooftop bar closure (notified after I booked and paid) - email never replied to. Asked again when we checked in and given different times - but no alternative. 2. Aircon didn’t work in room 3. There didn’t seem a way of separating recyclable waste from normal waste (as I’ve had in other hotels) 4. No mention of service tax at check-in - we tipped accordingly for our stay, and then was asked to pay the discretionary service tax at checkout. When I questioned discretionary or compulsory the lady half shrugged her shoulders. I declined to pay 5. The room was billed as a king bed - it was a double (there was no room for a king size) The hotel is in a great area and the view from the balcony was fantastic, but I would not count this as 5*

This was the worst hotel experience I have had in my 20 years of traveling. The customer service and communication are extremely poor. I reached out to management via email many days ago and told the staff of my unsatisfactory stay, but have yet to hear from anyone from the hotel.

We received a warm welcome from the reception staff and were surprised at the amount of care and attention that went into making our stay so special. The hotel and Aura Team made for a memorable birthday celebration that included a beautifully decorated room, sweet treats and a bottle of champagne. All the staff we encountered were kind, helpful and genuine. Diana, from the Aura Team checked on us daily making sure we were enjoying our stay. She exemplified the true meaning of hospitality. Viktors, the assistant head concierge, was always ready to assist us as we headed out on our London excursions. We will definitely be returning to ME London on our next visit.

This hotel was not only très chic but also conveniently located and within walking distance to many attractions! I also loved the fact there were several restaurants associated with this property and their rooftop bar/Radio was so classy and had a beautiful view of London!

Property was in a wonderful location, very walkable to most tourist attractions. It was safe and walkable. All the theaters were there and restaurants. It was not a traditional London property, but it was very clean and service was amazing. The hallways were dark. The hotel had more of a Miami vibe, but I would definitely stay there again just for the convenience there is a college in the area so plenty of people walking around during the days

This hotel has a good location, with rows of cute restaurants and bakeries and more starting just mere meters away. There are bus stops just across the street and train stations less than a 10 minute walk away. My mom and I loved being so near covent garden and also being in the center of all the tourist attractions we wanted to see. We weren’t too far from any of those sites, less than 1 hour of travel to most districts, and London is such a walkable city that you just walk without realizing how far you’ve gone. The only things that we would criticize are that there is a service charge every single time you do housekeeping for about £20 which we were not aware of. Had we been told that, we would have skipped every other night. Also, if you like to take baths after the long day of walking, our room did not include a bathtub so that might be something to keep in mind. But for the most part, the service was amazing and the staff were kind and the hotel was clean and modernly tasteful. We would come here to this hotel again in future trips to London.

I have never before thought about not writing a review of a hotel. The reason is very selfish. This hotel is so very good and we always want to find availability when we want to visit London again. It is just amazing. The location is perfect. It is right in the middle of Covent Gardens. There are so many transport options from the hotel. There are so many places to choose to eat. The rooms are so big for London standards. It has giant king size bed . It has modern plumbing. The best part of the bathroom is that the toilet is separate. The rooms are also very modern. There is also a turn down service in the evenings. We just love this little extra spoil. There is a kettle, nespresso machine and a mini fridge in the room. And to top it all, the hairdryer is a Dyson. The staff at the hotel are wonderful, helpful and friendly. The breakfasts are incredible and so are the views from the breakfast room. Now, you can understand why we would like to keep it a secret.

Great area but that’s about it. We paid for a superior terrace suite and ended up with an accessible room which felt like a hospital room. Upon arriving and taking a shower after a long journey the entire bathroom flooded including the carpet outside of the bathroom. Housekeeping had to come dry it but the carpet was wet for the remainder of our stay. Dinner at STK was mediocre. Next morning the fire alarm went off in our room due to something nobody could figure out. Maintenance came in with a ladder and had to work on them at 7am. Spoke with the manager and they took 50 pounds off of our dinner bill. Couldn’t believe for the amount of money we spent that our room and experience was so lousy. Really dissatisfied and would never stay again.

Amazing property and staff! Everyone was helpful check in was a breeze and room was great. I took off one star for service because we dined at Luciano and the service was really bad. It was like they forgot about us. Server kept apologizing for not checking up on us and bringing stuff late so they were aware of it too.

Best location!! This was my first time in London and I was traveling solo. I was greeted by Judy and she showed me to my room, which was very kind! The ME hotel is the perfect spot for walking to all of the attractions, it’s also only one block away from the river, which has a nice walking path as well. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My favorite part about the room was the view and the shower! It was surprisingly quiet for being located in the middle of all the shopping areas, so I was able to sleep very well! The steakhouse restaurant in the hotel is one of the best meals I have ever had while traveling, that’s saying a lot! I will 100% be back, and highly recommend this hotel.

The stars and service question and rating are subtly skewed as the hotel itself the staff was phenomenal and top tier. However, the restaurant staff on property for Luciano by Gino D’Acampo was utterly horrendous, waited 45 minutes for water refills and only received because I got up to ask for them, not much was done at all about the issue other then restaurant management making excuse of being short staffed, but she couldn’t be bothered to check on us or anyone else knowing that? We received a 20% discount upon checkout and lodging a more formal complaint in the lobby. We had reservations for two months and made it our last meal in the UK and couldn’t had been more disappointed or let down. The hotel nice, their restaurants, I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

We had a fantastic over night stay to celebrate my friends big birthday in London. Comfortable room, attentive amazing staff and we also ate in the STK restaurant next door which was amazing. Amazing location, very central.

We arrived early in hopes of changing before starting our day in London. The staff pointed down the hall and offered a small lobby bathroom stall. For a five star hotel I would expect a gym or hospitality suite option. The hotel is very dark in the hallways between the elevator and rooms. Didn’t feel super inviting, almost eerie. The room was quite large in terms of European standards. If you have the option to stay across the street at the One Aldwych I much prefer that hotel.
