After a busy day, we returned from a Broadway show and planned to have dinner at the hotel. The book in the room stated that the dining room would be open until 10 pm. Even though it was 9:05 pm when we returned, the dining room was closed. There was nothing within walking distance. The front desk personnel offered no assistance.

This is hands down the best mid-town hotel I’ve stayed in. Make sure to visit the solarium for a beautiful view of St Patrick’s. Excellent staff, interesting historical building.

The hotel was within walking distance to Radio City Music Hall. We had a beautiful view of St. Patrick’s Cathedral from our room and the Solarium roof patio. Great places to walk to for food of any kind and drinks. The hotel was very pretty with a lot of charm. I only have 1 complaint, we were informed when we checked in the Pub/Resturant in the hotel wasn’t open because of the Memorial Holiday. We checked in on Sunday and left Wednesday, that whole time it wasn’t open. It would have been nice to know that a head of time since that was a feature we were interested in when booking.

The room was clean and the staff were great. It was a very small one room facility with one king size bed. The room was advertised as a superior double room with king bed. It was not a double room so I don’t know what that’s supposed to mean. The brochure and advertisement stated that there was 24 hour best service, restaurant and limited service. The advertisement neglected that the restaurant and bar were not open on the weekend. If I had known, there was no restaurant as advertise, I WOULD NOT stayed there. I will not book a reservation in this hotel or recommended it.

This was a lovely boutique hotel in a wonderful location just off 5th Avenue with a view of St Patric’s Cathedral. Our room was immaculate and the beds were extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and informative. This was a great find and one that I will certainly book in the future.

Awesome location, nice old building, superb view. Apparently, not many visitors knows that the Solarium is open, so we took the opportunity to have breakfast alone on this terrace. Very special secluded moment in this crowded city.

This place is all about location and worth the money for that alone . The extra functions that were hosted here made lobby/elevators busy on weekends with all the non-hotel guests . Room was clean and daily service very good !

The hotel is a little classic, but in decent shape. Had a comfortable room. Had issue with the heater (could not turned off), and the fixed it the day I mentioned it. (Unfortunately the next morning is was full on again, but I was leaving so had nu issue with this). Since the hotel is also a location for celebrations, the elevator can be a challenge on moments the party starts or shifts from location. The longest I waited was 20 minutes before there was a not-packed elevator. Not a big problem, but something to consider. Further, the hotel was clean and fine

I really liked this hotel but there was a subtle sewer smell in our bathroom, and there was some piece of equipment outside our window that kept cycling off and on throughout the night - it didn’t prevent me from sleeping, but I think the next time I visit NY, I’ll stay at the 3 W Club, but ask for a room other than 603.

We stayed for a long weekend. Small room - typical of midtown - but if you're in your room a lot when visiting the Big Apple, aren't you kind of missing the point? Big enough to get the job done, and laid out well. It checked all of the boxes- affordable, clean, fluffy towels, super comfy bed, friendly and helpful front desk staff, great location steps from 5th Ave. Nice hot water - just be advised it may take a few minutes of running it for it to reach the upper floors, but it IS there! A wonderful stay! Special thanks to Mark at the front desk for a great check-in and education on the hotel's history.

This is a very clean, basic, affordable , and lovely hotel. Its location is ideal for Midtown Manhattan. It’s basic in that there’s few amenities. No workout room, fridge in the room, etc. It’s also older. They have real metal keys, for example. But it was clean throughout the hotel and the staff is kind and helpful. It’s also near about a million things to do. So if you want a clean place to stay while you dig into Manhattan, this place is great.

We loved the character of the building. It was well maintained and very clean. The staff were all exceptionally capable and nice. The location was perfect and centrally located. I would definitely stay here again.

The building was having an open house and fashion show for the Republican Women's Club, the primary tenant. During the events, access to certain hotel facilities was restricted, leaving virtually no amenities available to non-affiliated guests. The room I was in was very rundown: holes in the carpet, frayed edges on the chair cushion, mars in the tops of the dresser and bedside table, chipped paint, rust bleeding through the paint, windows that opened with great difficulty and then wouldn't close completely, broken down mattress... Great location for ease. Rooms and bathroom had plenty of space, especially for a big city. The only downside if I had to say something was the lack of a refrigerator and outlets not super easy to access. Other than that, it was a great stay.

The air conditioning unit made an annoying noice every 30 seconds. Beds are too soft. I didn't get the something extra I'm entitled to w my premium travel zoo. A tiny refrigerator would have been nice. Bathroom and shower pressure was good.

Originally a historic building, it was conveniently located for getting anywhere and proved to be a very comfortable hotel. The reception staff were extremely kind, and the room was clean and pleasant to stay in. The only disappointment was that the Wi-Fi connection was not available on the upper floors. It works in the lobby, so I believe the issue is with the distance from the router, and I hope this will be improved.

My 16 year-old daughter and I stayed here December 20 through the 22nd and we absolutely loved it. You can’t beat the location and the front desk staff were so sweet and helpful. I loved the old-school feel of the lobby and the room decor. Very classic New York. We shared a room with twin beds and it had a spectacular view of the St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Radio City Music Hall. We were also steps from the Rockefeller Tree. I hate to give it such a great review because I don’t want everyone to know about this hidden treasure 😁, but we really loved this hotel and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My daughter and I had an excellent stay at the property. It's a convenient location, near multiple subway lines, surrounded by plenty of shopping, and close enough to walk to Central Park. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable (two twin beds) and the view was lovely. Our only complaint was that because we were on the 8th floor directly below the rental spaces we were woken between 6:30am-7:30am each morning by the sounds of tables and chairs being dragged across the floor above us so that they could set up for the day's events. It made it impossible to sleep in or enjoy a restful morning. At night, the cleanup lasted until 11pm, again with the sound of furniture being dragged across the floor. We were even woken one morning at 6:30am to raucous cheering as the morning meeting kicked off. I'd likely stay there again but would make sure to request that we not be places on the 8th floor (though I believe this is where all the twin rooms are). For context, the hotel has 6 event spaces and only 28 rooms, six of which I believe are on the 8th floor.

Because of a landing gear issue with our flight out of Atlanta, on Sunday, we were unable to make it to our booking with 3 West Club, and had to cancel our trip. Here is why we have re-booked our reservation with them for January, and are sending our daughters there next week as a Christmas gift: Their staff and customer service is outstanding. This goes especially a very long way when you are in the situation we found ourselves in. First of all, someone answers the phone when you call the hotel ! I learned this as I called them to confirm our reservation. Realizing we weren't going to make it to NYC, when I called to explain the situation, customer service again answered the phone, graciously canceled the reservation, making a very bad day, much less stressful. Other reasons we look forward to our stay with them: You cannot beat the location. Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral are views outside the hotel! Central Park is a few blocks north. Spacious and elegant rooms, especially for the location in New York. I hear the restaurant is a favorite of the locals for pre-theater events in the area. Thank you 3 West Club. See you in January!

This was my first time in NY and 3 West Club was excellently located. Its steps from St. Patrick’s Church and so close to shows, shopping and the subway. Although older, my room was clean. The bathroom had been updated but the carpet in the bedroom area felt quite old. The twin beds were soft and very comfortable, as were the pillows. I did wear earplugs and would recommend guests have some handy, not for street noise but for the sounds of guests and cleaning staff. My room was situated away from the elevators and was quite quiet - I stayed mid week and don’t think all rooms were occupied. The desk staff weren’t overly friendly. Perhaps they have such a turnover of guests that it’s tiring to be enthusiastic? I saw a lot of different staff covering the front desk and not once did I feel welcomed or had staff ask if I was enjoying my stay/is there anything I need/tell me about the facilities, etc. So it greatly lacked a feeling of welcome. For my first visit to NYC, and solo travelling, this was a pretty good choice and I’d stay again.

What a lovely place and fabulous find! Comfortable, clean and very quaint. Excellent location, close to many of the sights and restaurants. I want to especially thank Irene, Demaris and Christopher for all their help during my recent stay. My husband was at Sloan Kettering and his release date changed a couple times and they were so accommodating. I will stay there again when next in NYC!

After a busy day, we returned from a Broadway show and planned to have dinner at the hotel. The book in the room stated that the dining room would be open until 10 pm. Even though it was 9:05 pm when we returned, the dining room was closed. There was nothing within walking distance. The front desk personnel offered no assistance.

The hotel was within walking distance to Radio City Music Hall. We had a beautiful view of St. Patrick’s Cathedral from our room and the Solarium roof patio. Great places to walk to for food of any kind and drinks. The hotel was very pretty with a lot of charm. I only have 1 complaint, we were informed when we checked in the Pub/Resturant in the hotel wasn’t open because of the Memorial Holiday. We checked in on Sunday and left Wednesday, that whole time it wasn’t open. It would have been nice to know that a head of time since that was a feature we were interested in when booking.

It was not a double room so I don’t know what that’s supposed to mean. The brochure and advertisement stated that there was 24 hour best service, restaurant and limited service. I will not book a reservation in this hotel or recommended it.

This is a great location. Staff are great (warm, welcoming and helpful) and the rooms are good value for money. A little noisy on my last night as there was an event on the top floor but overall a good stay. Bar/Restaurant only opens midweek but there are lots of options nearby so it's not a huge issue. Thanks for a nice stay!

The staff is amazing and very helpful. The room was clean and just right for my husband and I. Love the dinning options and the waitress was amazing and even helped with directions. Have us a map to help us on our journey. Would greatly recommend this home away from home .

It's well located, but there is a LOT of nighttime construction noise and the cleaning staff yells at each other in the hallways and corridors all day long when they are working. The place is clean but the elevators are old and there is a lot of traffic in and out of their banquet halls, meeting rooms and solarium. A dish from the restaurant made me sick all night and I'm not sure I could ever go back again when the sinks won't drain properly.

The location is amazing. I love the older buildings. The bathroom is spacious and updated and the beds are very comfortable. The amenities on-site, pub and dining room, are good. The view from the solarium is amazing, and my daughter and I greatly appreciated the easy access to it. My only small negative is that we were next to a room that could serve as an adjoining room and we could hear everything next door. This was easily fixed by turning on the tv or music, but this would affect my room request in the future. And I will definitely stay here again. Another note: this building is also the home of the National Women's Republican Club. I'm a Democrat but this did not bother me.
