Small hotel in Mariposa. 45 minutes from south exit of Yosemite. Basic but perfect after a long day. Pool was refreshing. Restaurants were packed with long waits on the weekend. Walls were quite thin so it could be noisy. Free plentiful parking and easy walking distance to everything

Our stay is always at the Monarch when we visit Mariposa because the staff are very professional and helpful. The pool is never over crowded and peaceful. Its safe and conveniently located, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Thank you

Property is close to yosemite which is great. But the property wasnt as clean , underneath beds it was completely dusty and the bathroom smelled like a wet rag. Also in the back where u park the door was open for anyone to come in .

The young lady that checked us in was very nice. She even moved us to a different room because the tv wasn’t working right. The room was ok, bed not so great, but shower was fantastic. Walls are very thin, doors slam and people above the first night sounded like a circus! One door to parking lot was not secure, and light hanging from the fixture there. Pretty close to Yosemite which is why we booked there. Definitely needs some maintenance.

Staff was low so breakfast wasn’t available but coffee, teas, and juices were all day. Staff was kind and very helpful. Area was charming around hotel and great place to come back to after Yosemite. Hotel is in the middle of some maintenance projects but overall a quaint and quiet place to stay. Water pressure was amazing!

The hotel itself was very comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable. A little dated but we kinda like that charm. The pool was clean. Con: All the dinning options in the area were obnoxiously expensive. Next time we will be eating noodle cups in the room lol. But I’d totally stay here again.

Great place to stay in the area. Rooms where clean. Has pool. No breakfast option though. The area itself is good access to the Yosemite vally but Oakhurst has better access to mariposa grove big trees and the vally. Mariposa town has an older vibe and good bars

I have pictures and video. The TV didn’t work. It had picture but no sound they brought up a new TV had no picture no sound that was the only extra TV they had when we went to shut the curtains when we got there they were all ripped and falling off the rails there was holes in the sheets holes in the bedding. The carpets were stained. The bed felt like they had crumbs in them. I had to remake the bed first night we slept on top of everything second night. I asked for fresh sheets.

I have never written any comments before on hotel or restaurants but this was due! Carpet was stained, bathroom had been redone, which was best part, not enough outlets, only one channel on TV worked staff came up and checked out and said oh we have had trouble with that, no fix. The ironing board was hung on wall behind window curtain, no closet or anywhere to hang anything and no hangars. Extremely Overpriced!!!! Site shows fruit and danish, and one review said free breakfast but never saw any food so they may have been confused about hotels when they wrote review. Nice little town and friendly people, restaurants reasonable and good food, just stay somewhere else! Very disappointed!

The room was dirty, and had some type of smell. The bed wasn’t well made, I really didn’t have a good sleep thinking that there were bed bugs thankfully they weren’t but that’s the impression I got from the room we stayed in. I saw another review that pointed out the same and to not look under the bed which I didn’t because this was the only place we could stay in so I rather not see what was under my bed. :/ Didn’t have breakfast but it seemed really poor as well. Would recommend as a last resort.

My first night was awful. The room above me partied until 2 in the morning. I called the front desk three times. The last call was at 1:45 am. I guess the last call worked when threatened with the Sheriff arriving.

Hotel was ok BUT there is no where to hang clothes - no closet/wardrobe and no hooks. Bed was just OK, we needed to leave the air con on as it was very hot and it is very noisy but nowhere as noisy as the plumbing in the room next door - it sounded like a jet engine every time they flushed the toilet or had a shower.

TV reception is terrible, carpet needs replacing, breakfast is bread and cereal. No orange juice and cream cheese only one of the days. It is about an hour and 5 minute drive into Yosemite. On the plus side the pressure in the shower was fantastic and lots of restaurants in the area.

The Staff is amazing here. Incredibly friendly and goes out of their way to treat each customer as an individual with individual requests. I had a great experience with the entire staff but definitely Theresa went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable n my room. I will always recommend based on my experience

Very nice hotel. Walking distance to many restaurants and historical sutes. Quite close to the pickup and drop-off sites for the shuttle to Yosemite national park. Would stay there again.

We stayed only 1 night. We found it be convenient and comfortable as we were coming back from a day in Yosemite. Cute lil town. Yhe breakfast was ok. Pretty basic (bagels, muffins, fruit, oatmeal and yogurt, coffee, juice and tea). Overall, a gd stay.

This place is fantastic! Families with kids will love it. The complimentary breakfast, not even mentioned in the Expedia Amenities, was a delightful surprise. Its central location provides easy access to all the shops and restaurants in Mariposa.

Great property with very friendly staff. One wish we would have: More non-sugar options for breakfast. Also, there is definitely a need for more seating space in the "Great Room" as it was way too crowded at breakfast and many guests did not find a spot to sit down.
