Inn on St. Ann, a French Quarter Guest Houses Property

A Nice historic Inn in the French Quarter but a few blocks from the crowds and noise. Dwayne at the Front Desk was awesome !!! and you can park a few blocks away at the Basin St parking lot at the NOLA hospitality center for $10 over nite.

Lovely quiet inn at the edge of the historic district. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Just 5 minutes walk to Bourbon street but is far enough to avoid all the noises. Only have two complaints, the WiFi does not reach to the Voodoo House (where my room is located), and the water pressure can be better. Overall it is a great place to stay if you want to be in the historic district.

Property was nice and close to everything, Bourbon street , french quarters . The room did not have a refrigerator or microwave.

It’s a cute, historic property within walking distance of all the famous sites and restaurants in the French Quarter. It was challenging to find street parking nearby.

Great location, build is historic and shows a lot of original features. Low staffed hard to check in . They have two locations and they split 1 front end person. No elevator you must walk up stairs

AMAZING staff! AMAZING location! Rooms VERY clean! SUPER convenient location! Walkable to LOTS!!! Older (historical?) building so no elevator to third floor we were placed but we were ok with that. It would be ideal to have small refrigerator and microwave in rooms. We had to be strategic when going out to eat to ensure we ordered just enough so we wouldn’t have leftovers. Also, room temperature drinks are not what was craved on hot - humid days when walking back into our room. But overall, we had a PHENOMENAL stay!!

This property is good for a really quick stay. Not too many amenities such as premium cable channels, no HBO/Showtime/Netflix. No mini fridge or microwave. Just the basics but clean and friendly staff. Great location.

We had a room across the street that had a nice courtyard. It was very cute. The room was massive. Almost like a nice sized one bed room apartment. It’s an older building so expect that. There’s no elevator. I would have loved if there was a safe in the room. Other than that I enjoyed it !

The Inn on St. Anne is actually a collection of buildings. There's the main building and then a set across the street. Our first room was at street level, on the street side and it was too noisy with lots of cars/people travelling by until late night. The bathroom also needed a new coat of paint However, the hotel provided excellent service and was able to move us to a room in the main building, 3rd floor, at the back. Smaller, but MUCH quieter. Also, as a boutique hotel, there is some variety to the rooms. Very comfy beds. No big lobby area, and a simple coffee station. The hotel is convenient to many things in the French Quarter, and lots of restaurants/bars within walking distance, as well as the river. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay there.

If it wasn’t for the friendliness off the staff and location, this would be 1/5 stars. First, the room was very dirty. Stained sheets and curtains, the fan was covered in dust as well. I don’t know what their cleaning policy is, but they did not clean my room once in the 5 days I was there. Second, those pictures are not the location. If it is, then it has to be from years ago. The water fountain outside was a slime green color. The outside sitting area needs some care, especially the stairs leading to the 2nd floor, it literally shakes as you’re going up. Third, it’s really bare bones, but I guess you get what you pay for. There is a coffee machine in the room, but good luck using it because that too was covered in dust. There is an AC, but it kept leaking water. Also, this is small, but there’s a card on the dresser saying they provide 2 bottles of water and the rest will be $1. I got 0 bottles of water and they had none to sell. Luckily there’s a cheap corner store down the street. For the good stuff. The staff is super friendly. Also the location is in a great spot. It’s walking distance from Bourbon and Frenchmen.

Everything was excellent! The hotel is super well located, right in the center of New Orleans, which made it really easy to walk around and enjoy everything the city has to offer. The cleanliness was impeccable, everything very well maintained. Overall, an amazing experience. I’d definitely rate it 10 out of 10 and would gladly come back!

The room was not clean.

The check-in went well. The front door had to be kicked to open; twice we had to go across the street for wash cloths, and the second time, they only found one. We saw 2 enormous cockroaches, but we understand they are common in the Deep South.

This was an absolute jewel of a spot in the French Quarter. Clean, quiet, comfortable. It's an historic building that has been renovated and it is lovely. The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. We needed refrigeration for insulin (we had been refilling an ice bucket) and within an hour a small fridge was delivered to put room. Just a fantastic spot to stay.

Room was clean, but soap and shampoo bottle were empty. Missing towels in bathroom. No remote for AC unit, had to climb on a chair to turn off and on. Asked the front desk, who handled all my issues except AC remote. Asked maintenance guy, but they had none on property to replace. TV kinda difficult to figure out, and alot of blocked channels.

The staff was very friendly and helpful; however, upon arrival our room did not have towels (didn’t notice until after getting out of the shower 😭). Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash receptacles were also empty. Can’t beat the location, though! Close to everything in the French Quarter and we could walk everywhere.

Interior room is quite noisy with people coming in and out but otherwise good hotel

Unfortunately, we ended up with a room that was street level, right on the sidewalk. We could hear conversations, cars and tours stopping right outside our window. If you could get a room in the main building or back in the courtyard the noise wouldn't be an issue. But the noise is very loud and goes most of the night. Garbage trucks then came through at 6am. It was a rough night. Property was clean, staff were very nice.

When we arrived we were greeted and checked in to our room. Walked up to room 72 and found it to be clean, and in good condition. I was totally taken back by the fact that we had no windows, so it was basically a dark box. There is wear and tear on bathroom, and it would have been nice to have a small bistro table with a couple chairs in the room. There should be some information given when booking that the rooms are windowless

Overall we had a great quick stay! It is so convenient and walkable to get to all the classic spots and very reasonable prices. The staff we encountered were all very nice and everyone was working hard! As others have mentioned these are old buildings so expect to have skinny walkways and no elevators. They only bummer was that our water wouldn’t get hot or even warm in the shower and because we were given a room in their sister property across the street the Wi-Fi didn’t reach and I unfortunately had no service in the room. Super minor stuff but it was such a great location for a very quick trip to New Orleans!

I was pleasantly surprised at my stay. Previously I stayed at the French Quarter Inns at the Lamothe location, which was terrible. At Inn on St Ann, I booked two rooms. One for me, one for my son & his friend. Their room was in the main house, right off a very small courtyard. Most of their room was occupied by a giant fireplace, which was a bit awkward. They had one very small closet, and no dresser. The air conditioner was near the ceiling & luckily one of them is 6ft tall & could reach by standing on the bed. The bathroom was nice, no counter space or sink drawers The had to live out of their suitcases. Being in their 20s they werent really put off by that, but an older person might not be comfortable in this room. My room was across the street next to the Marie Laveau house. The courtyard was traditional, fountain & good seating. My room was on the first level, right off the courtyard. I had a closet, a dresser & my air conditioning was accessibl-ish, I had to stand on the cushioned stool. Same bathroom. Door was a little hard to close, but it wasn't annoying. I felt bad for having to shut it hard late at night. It was nice & quiet HOWEVER on my last night I got no sleep. It was then I discovered how incredibly thin the floors and walls are I must have gotten new people, they were dragging furniture back & forth, clacking around in heels& shoes, dropping stuff on the floor every 5 minutes & being intimate, didnt want to be included in that!

I like the location and the staff is friendly but the room was kind of small and didn’t offer much in the way of electrical outlets.

Room too small for 2 people. Bed is against the wall that make it very difficult to get in and out of bed. No chair in the room so no where to sit! If you have a car don’t stay in this place

Classic French Quarter digs for a reasonable price. The 3rd floor walkup is not for the immobile or faint of heart, but it will keep you fit! Very nice staff.

I just stayed here and it was a great experience. It was my first time in New Orleans and the staff made me feel so welcome. The front desk lady (Nicole) was extremely helpful and very kind. There is also a gentleman that I dont have his name which is also a great staff member; very, very helpful and always with a good spirit. The room I stayed was perfect for me; very clean, hot water and a very comfortable bed which was a plus. Very well located. I walked everywhere; it is like 2 blocks from Bourbon street. In summary, Im staying here the next time I visit New Orleans.

Not a pro or con: No elevators. We were aware and fine with that. Fortunately, we were given a ground floor room. Unfortunately, well, see below. Pros: *Weekday afternoon/evening desk employee is awesome! Tall older gentleman who is very engaged with his guests (his name escapes me!). *Location. We were a little concerned over the street noise being in the French Quarter, but honestly heard nothing from the outside. Everywhere within the area is at most a 10-minute walk. *We were on the ground floor, center room and was pretty spacious. No windows, which we were aware of based on our booking. Cons *All staff outside of the older gentleman mentioned above are just not pleasant. Very difficult to get a smile out of anyone. *Very noisy and this is from the staff! The ground floor rooms are across from 2 tables and coffee machine, where the employees like to lounge and talk very loudly and yell to each other from across the hallway. *Found the staff often take breaks in the vacant rooms. *Can't locate staff. *Room was not cleaned when we checked in. Understandable since we arrived at 2pm. However, we were given the key and when we walked in to the room is how we found it was still not prepped from the prior guest stay. Desk agent was not aware and asked us to give them a few hours. *Room/Front door key deactivates after 48 hours, regardless of length of stay. *Patio is not as pictured. *No iron for the ironing board. *No hairdryer in room.

Convenience and very helpful staff. I left my jacket in the closet and the staff called and got it returned to me.

We had an issue with the bathroom when we first arrived and they immediately moved us and were very kind about everything and very helpful.

Inn on St Ann is a cute property with just a short walk from Bourbon Street. The facilities are well kept and the staff was lovely. Dwayne was the best! I would definitely stay here again.

The location was ideal, just inside the French Quarter in a mostly residential street. St Ann goes straight to Jackson Square so navigation is easy.

Right in the middle of the French Quarter, but far enough back off Bourbon St to be quiet. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating of our weird schedule, and provided fantastic restaurant recommendations! Accommodations were simple but very comfortable.

We recently stayed at the Inn on St. Ann and really enjoyed it. The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to walk to many sites in the area. At the same time, it is quiet enough on the street so that we could get some much needed rest. The hotel has the charm of the area, yet the rooms are nicely updated and were very clean. McKayla at the front desk was so sweet and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Being right ln the French Quarter but near the edge meant things were quieter than you might expect, but still close to everything you might want to do. Great place to stay!
