The property is on the National park. The drive to the resort will take you through some narrow winding roads and it will take approximately an hour and a half to make it up there (approximately 23-25 miles). In some places, it’s hard for two cars to get by. There was road construction going on, they closed the road down, so we had to schedule accordingly. Once you get up there you may not want to go back down to retrieve groceries, food, etc. No gas station, so gas up beforehand. Nice quiet resort, WiFi available, no tvs.

This area is not for novice hikers. Recommend Groundhog Meadow hike to get acclimated. Staff were friendly and cabin was clean and comfortable.

Staff are incredibly nice and our stay was wonderful! The setting is beautiful and peaceful; excellent choice for outdoor enthusiasts and joining with nature. The description of Silver City should be updated on Hotels.com to more accurately describe the accommodations, however. This is an extremely remote and rustic place and anyone that has a serious medical condition or physical limitations should speak with staff directly before booking to ensure they understand where they are going. A reliable car is also essential to make it up the mountain.

We had a blast! Road in wasn't bad at all as some say. People are so nice and food was terrific! Very quiet and laid back 👍
