Hotel Casona de La Isla

This hotel has a bar and some dining areas on the water, a pool and hot tub, good breakfast included but does suffer from a lot of road noise bc the road along the water is flooded. Water was hot, power has back up but that didn't kick on when the power went out one time. Came back quickly.

Great location. Love that it has a pool and Jacuzzi. Across the lake. Has a bar and restaurant. Super friendly staff. Will definitely come again. Sadly I booked last minute but thankfully I got the last room available but next time planning it better so I can get a room facing the lake

Very good situated - close to everything and beautiful sunset. Nice dining area, pool and jacuzzi. Good breakfast. The room was very basic

It's a great choice for Flores! The apartment looked exactly as the picture and they had made the bed very nice with forming towels to swans/dogs etc. The breakfast is not a buffet but you have several options and it was really tasty. The pool and jacuzzi is very small.

Terrible and stressful experience. Skip this hotel!! The shuttle pick up from airport NEVER showed despite confiming pick up date and time a week and a half in advance. Front desk lady named Gilma Lamora was incredibly rude. She messaged me in all caps about the shuttle arriving 40 minutes after the pick up time. I had to catch another company shuttle to avoid being stranded at the airport late at night (no uber or taxi). When I arrived, I showed her the confirmation of my shuttle appointment in WhatsApp, and she just mumbled to herself and did not apologize. No reimbursement for the shuttle I had to pay out of pocket for either. Gilma ignored me when I tried to check in and get my keys, and proceeded to help other guests behind me. She was wrong about the number of nights I had booked as well. When I finally got my keys she refused to explain how to get to my room. Gilma, you should be ashamed of yourself and not work in hospitality!! It was another battle with Gilma to get her to agree to call my return shuttle to the airport at the time agreed upon a week and a half ago in WhatsApp. I had to insist ar least three times. Zero integrity or accounability. Wifi never worked (doesn't match names or passwords on hand out information). For rooms facing the pool, it is very loud at night. The rooms are pretty crappy too, but it works for an overnight stay to visit Tikal.

Hotel is old, but nice. Great location and pool. Only complaint would be the chairs around the pool are not in proper condition.

Hotel Casona de la Isla has become my "go-to" location when I am staying in Flores. I am usually there on business. The price is reasonable, the facilities and rooms are clean and the free breakfast on their patio/bar area overlooking the lake is a great way to start your day. It is hard to work in the rooms but working outside on the patio or other areas meets my needs. I would definitely recommend the hotel to others, and I do.

This hotel is well-located on the small island town of Flores. It has great frontage on the lake. The room and bathroom were quite small and unremarkable. Staff was very nice. There was a pool, and a hot tub - though the hot tub wasn't hot the morning I had hoped to use it.

Lo bueno; bien ubicado, cerca de lanchas y taxis, zona de alberca y jacuzzi agradable, la terraza buena vista y ventilada, la parte alta con muebles adecuados, la baja con sillas metálicas no tan cómodas, música relajada. Lo malo; en la habitación, la coladera del baño tenía un terrible olor fétido, los colchones totalmente aguados e incómodos, no hay ni silla ni sillón para sentarte, salvo en la cama, la secadora de pelo estaba quemada, el área de guardar ropa pésima, en general el mobiliario es muy viejo y descuidado. La alberca es muy pequeña para nadar, el agua está muy fría, el agua del jacuzzi sólo un día tuvo el agua caliente por la noche, y el tercero estaba sucio. En general el exterior del hotel hacia la calle y el lago es bonito, la habitación no y la limpieza de la habitación era deficiente.

La piscina siempre sucia, el baño muy pequeño y el equipo para cocinar en los aptos es deficiente. Lámparas inservibles

There is a smell to the room, maybe the humidity. However, is worse in the morning when the shower or the sink faucet start to run.

The place was beautiful. Very clean compared to other hotels in the area. Definitely great value. We were very disappointed when we went to the next door hotel the following night because we were so spoiled here. A/c blows fantastic, bathroom is clean and view was beautiful. The triple large twin room is actually double beds so worked great for 3 children 3 adults

We stayed two nights and the location was perfect in the cutest island of Flores. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed the cute pool. Only thing that could have been better for us was that the room could have be a little bit bigger.

Also, we could hear the guests in a neighboring room as clearly as if they were in the room with us. Fortunately I had a white noise app which I used every night, and that helped. Also, the noise died down as the night progressed. Other than this, we had a fabulous stay.

Beautiful place! Rooms are simple and clean, staff are extremely kind and helpful, breakfast in the morning was complete and delicious in a beautiful dining room.

I have been staying at the Casona de la Isla for several years now and have usually stayed in the main hotel. In the main hotel the rooms are small but sufficient and the prices are reasonable. This time they put me in the apartments across the street which are spacious and brighter. I recommend them as an option. One of my favorite things about the hotel is the bar restaurant area overlooking the lake where we usually eat breakfast. There is a great view in the morning and some spectacular sunsets over the lake in the afternoon. The staff are friendly and accomodating. I recommend the hotel. I am usually there once or twice a year.

First room (apartment) was nice...but VERY, VERY NOISY...especially at night (right on main street). Switched to regular room on my return visit...much more quiet! Staff were great...breakfast was tasty...would stay again...just NOT in an apartment!!!

This place was the noisiest place I've ever stayed at. Street noise was super loud and a disco next door didn't help either. Staff was great, food was good but sorry I choose this place for the noise factor. Do not stay in any of the rooms that are on the backside or the apartments. You WILL be disappointed.

A/C was working well! We were in what they call an apartment across the street. It was spacious with a kitchenette, large bathroom and bedroom without windows. It’s very colonial looking from the outside. Very noisy during the day, but quiet at night. You can use the pool in the hotel across the street. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake was fine. Great little place on the island of Flores.

Our Spanish is poor , so some difficulty with the language. The staff were so very accommodating and tried very hard to meet our needs . On our checkout @ 530 am they arranged our brown bag breakfast , thank you ! We would stay with them again

Me dijeron que habían llegado unos doctores & que el cuarto que yo rente desde hace un mes se lo dieron a esas personas. & al final no me dieron el cuarto que pagué muy mal servicio

I arrived at 2:15. The front desk said check in was at 3. Fine. I went to the dining room and ordered a box lunch and paid for it. I waited for 20 minutes. No box lunch. No wait staff in sight. I hunted down a waiter. He went into the back and came out with the box lunch, obviously already prepared. Bad first impressions. The room was clean and the a/c worked which is a plus. I think I got the worst room in the hotel which seems to be a pattern when I book with Expedia. I’m thinking of going directly to the hotel for booking in the future.

Great hotel, staff, and dining. Central location on the malecón. Well equipped for extreme heat. My favorite of all the places we stayed throughout Guatemala.

L'hôtel est bien mais le quartier est bruillant. Si vous cherchez un séjour calme, pensez à demander une chambre qui ne donne pas sur la rue. Sinon, pas de souci

An older property, but quite charming, and right on the lake. The rooms were quite adequate, and the staff super helpful. There is a loud bar right next door, so make sure you have tight earplugs! There's no elevator. The breakfast was superb.

The hotel is perfectly located in the island of Flores. On weekends it can be loud because of restaurants and bars around it.

The location is good but not so quite in the evening. The front desk people are very helpful.

Great place with a very lovely pool and hot tub. Breakfast was lovely and the hospitality was wonderful. Good location to visit the Isla de Flores. There was AC in the room, too. Was probably one of the nicer hotels I stayed at in Guatemala in this price range.

I like the view of the lake and the sunset was amazing. The location is perfect. The lunch and dinner is the same menu and very limited. A little expensive dispute that is just basic stuff nachos taquitos basic menu
