This is amazing hotel. The service is top quality. Employees are friendly and very helpful. We stayed at a room with king bed. It's three times the size of a regular hotel room. Our room was overlooking the lake behind the reception. Behind the water is an amazing forest view. I preferred it to the rooms overlooking the bigger lake on the other side of the property. You can relax in the hot tub watching the forest, listening to the howling monkey shout. Such a unique experience.. If you are a light sleeper, the sound of the hot tub or the light on the phone or the air conditioner unit might be a nuisance. In that case, ask the hotel to turn off the hot tub at night, turn off the AC and just cover the phone with something. If those don't bother you, you will sleep like a baby. Mosquitoes are a problem in general so be prepared with whatever you prefer to use as mosquito repellent. The pool area is amazing. You may eat your meals while lounging. The spa is small but nice. To use the facility they charge 75$. So the sauna, for example, is not free. But if you buy a massage the facility is free and massage prices are not very expensive. The restaurant offers a decent menu. We ate all meals there and were generally happy with them. The hotel is not immediately close to anywhere. You would need to get a car to go anywhere. Or it would be a real hike if you decided to walk. Hotel offers a free boat tour around the lagoon. Highly recommended. Overall, it was an amazing experience.

The hotel was FANTASTIC. The staff was great Brayan at the front desk and Elmer in the dining were truly excellent, warm, friendly and super helpful The pool is gorgeous and rooms were great. The Internet is spotty but that is minor. I would absolutely recommend this place

Lo que más me gustó fue la atención tan amable del personal, especialmente los del restaurante. Me pareció muy interesante haberme hospedado donde se han alojado celebridades. El tour a la isla de monos, el pequeño museo de artefactos mayas y el uso de kayaks le dan un plus a la estadía!

It’s a gated oasis between the airport and Tikal. Beautiful room with lake views. Jacuzzi is as lovely as expected. However the museum and the boat trip to see spider monkeys are above expectations. Quality of meals could be better for the price.

A super peaceful stay, we loved everything. staff all so friendly and attentive, rooms are private and waking up to the sounds of the birds was magic. the pool and spa also created with a lot of thought. they arranged a private tour for us to one of the sites which was a highlight of our trip, and of course visiting monkey island was also a fun morning. and the museum is a must visit! a truly incredible collection of Mayan artifacts in perfect condition. this was truly a vacation and we will return one day!

We spent a week-long family reunion at the lovely Las Lagunas Boutique Hotel. Each couple had a room with its own hot tub room overlooking the laguna, where we could enjoy the French press coffee provided each day. A delicious breakfast was included, and we could even order the night before if we had early morning activities planned the next day. The staff was phenomenal (shout out to Elmer, Alex, and Ovidio in particular). Some family members enjoyed a massage and spa day to start the vacation off right, and they loved it. The pool was lovely and much appreciated after the hot days of exploring Tikal, Flores, the animal rescue site, and monkey island. We had our own vehicle, so I can’t comment on the excursions organized by the hotel, though the staff did assist with local contacts for some of our outings. The only disappointment was the dinner menu, which could be a bit hit or miss. Except for that detail, the facilities met or exceeded our expectations, and we all had a wonderful and unforgettable experience. Thank you!

wow - this place left me speechless- we had room6 an entire beautiful house with hottub on the verandah overlooking the magic lake - seeing birds , fish and turtels , first class service and. food - super friendly staff - transport available for extra charge any time we wanted

Exceptional and unique boutique hotel located on a private lagoon near Flores and about 1.5 hours south of Tikal. True luxury in a jungle environment. Open dining room overlooks the lagoon and food was excellent. Includes courtesy trip into the lagoon each morning to feed the monkeys on an island - monkeys were charming, also saw crocodiles, turtles and many birds.

The staff was very friendly and polite. Everyone was very respectful and friendly. The property was very clean and beautiful. This was one of my most peaceful and relaxing trips ever. I would definitely recommend it especially if you want a romantic getaway.

My husband and I had a great stay at Las Lagunas. The expansive and immaculate hotel room was an individual structure on stilts overlooking the lagoon. The room was incredibly comfortable, from the leather sofa facing out towards the balcony and lagoon, the private indoor jacuzzi, and king size bed. The staff were friendly and eager to be at our service. It's possible to book a private tour of Tikal through the hotel, which we did and it was quite good with lunch included. The private transportation that we booked through the hotel was more expensive than we experienced in Antigua and Lake Atitlan, but very comfortable and safe. If visiting the Tikal area, I would highly recommend this hotel!

We have stayed for 4 nights - it was magical. We had a huge room right on the lake, with big windows overlooking the lake - it was lovely to wake up to the serene beauty of the place, mist flowing above the water, very peaceful and idyllic. We did quite a lot of hiking and thoroughly enjoyed soaking our sore muscles in our private hot tub in the evenings. The room had AC (though I have to say that our clothes felt a bit damp when we got to a much drier climate of Antigua). Beds were super comfy, shower was great and hot enough - though the water would fluctuate very slightly and wouldn't get really hot. The resort is beautifully designed. But the best part was food and staff. Hands down, best food and staff of all places we stayed in Guatemala - it says a lot because food was amazing everywhere and people as well! The resort is remotely located - you cannot just walk to town, you can take complimentary bicycles, or ask hotel to get you a taxi, or have your own car. We would definitely stay there again!

The staff was very kind and the food was really good. Staff constantly cleaned the pool to assure it was clean and overall the hotel was very nice. I wish our television would have worked while we were there as we were unable to use our Netflix app as foreigners. Simple extra touches like turn down service, a working television would have made our experience 5 stars.

Exceptional!!! This hotel has exceeded all my expectations. Located at a very beautiful piece of land with nice surrenders and breathtaking views. Very beautiful and eco-friendly installations. Rooms are very quiet, spacious and cery private, with very comfortable beds. Staff members are super stars! Very friendly and professional, always willing to help. It serves a gorgeous breakfast that is included in the price. Its restaurant offers a very delicious menu. Its museum has an incredible private collection of pre- Columbian artifacts. A week could be expended easily, by taking all the private tours offered by this hotel to other places of interest in the area. You won't regret staying in this hotel. Highly recommended it!!!

It’s a gated oasis between the airport and Tikal. Beautiful room with lake views. Jacuzzi is as lovely as expected. However the museum and the boat trip to see spider monkeys are above expectations. Quality of meals could be better for the price.

We have stayed for 4 nights - it was magical. We had a huge room right on the lake, with big windows overlooking the lake - it was lovely to wake up to the serene beauty of the place, mist flowing above the water, very peaceful and idyllic. We did quite a lot of hiking and thoroughly enjoyed soaking our sore muscles in our private hot tub in the evenings. The room had AC (though I have to say that our clothes felt a bit damp when we got to a much drier climate of Antigua). Beds were super comfy, shower was great and hot enough - though the water would fluctuate very slightly and wouldn't get really hot. The resort is beautifully designed. But the best part was food and staff. Hands down, best food and staff of all places we stayed in Guatemala - it says a lot because food was amazing everywhere and people as well! The resort is remotely located - you cannot just walk to town, you can take complimentary bicycles, or ask hotel to get you a taxi, or have your own car. We would definitely stay there again!

The staff was very kind and the food was really good. Staff constantly cleaned the pool to assure it was clean and overall the hotel was very nice. I wish our television would have worked while we were there as we were unable to use our Netflix app as foreigners. Simple extra touches like turn down service, a working television would have made our experience 5 stars.

We loved everything about this hotel. It is an excellent option for those who want to take a few days to relax and get rid of all that stress. While we were at the pool, the waiter brought us some drinks and even brought us a cooler so it wouldn't get hot. Paying for the spa is totally worth that money. They do amazing massages. The rooms are beautiful and amazing. I had not realized the room that they gave us had it's own jacuzzi when i made the reservation. This place left me absolutely stunned. The breakfast was great and the waiter helped us out on seeing what we could do around there. The only thing i didn't like was that at the spa they only offered tea to my husband and son who where the first to do the massage and didn't offer my daughter and i some. Of course this wouldn't make me not come back. Me and my family really loved this place and would like for yours to do so also!

A super peaceful stay, we loved everything. staff all so friendly and attentive, rooms are private and waking up to the sounds of the birds was magic. the pool and spa also created with a lot of thought. they arranged a private tour for us to one of the sites which was a highlight of our trip, and of course visiting monkey island was also a fun morning. and the museum is a must visit! a truly incredible collection of Mayan artifacts in perfect condition. this was truly a vacation and we will return one day!

This is amazing hotel. The service is top quality. Employees are friendly and very helpful. We stayed at a room with king bed. It's three times the size of a regular hotel room. Our room was overlooking the lake behind the reception. Behind the water is an amazing forest view. I preferred it to the rooms overlooking the bigger lake on the other side of the property. You can relax in the hot tub watching the forest, listening to the howling monkey shout. Such a unique experience.. If you are a light sleeper, the sound of the hot tub or the light on the phone or the air conditioner unit might be a nuisance. In that case, ask the hotel to turn off the hot tub at night, turn off the AC and just cover the phone with something. If those don't bother you, you will sleep like a baby. Mosquitoes are a problem in general so be prepared with whatever you prefer to use as mosquito repellent. The pool area is amazing. You may eat your meals while lounging. The spa is small but nice. To use the facility they charge 75$. So the sauna, for example, is not free. But if you buy a massage the facility is free and massage prices are not very expensive. The restaurant offers a decent menu. We ate all meals there and were generally happy with them. The hotel is not immediately close to anywhere. You would need to get a car to go anywhere. Or it would be a real hike if you decided to walk. Hotel offers a free boat tour around the lagoon. Highly recommended. Overall, it was an amazing experience.

This is a jewel of a resort. I'd definitely return. The premises are beautiful and relaxing. The staff are personable and helpful. It is in the jungle on a lake and 10 miles from town so if you want to go shopping as the focus of your stay this isn't the place. If you want to sit in a hot tub in your room and look over a lake every day, or pay for tours of exquisite Mayan ruins, this place is a wonder.

Absolutely gorgeous and staff is amazing. They are very accommodating and the food is delicious. The rooms are gorgeous with jacuzzi overlooking the lagoon. Just impeccable. Will come back here again.

It’s a gated oasis between the airport and Tikal. Beautiful room with lake views. Jacuzzi is as lovely as expected. However the museum and the boat trip to see spider monkeys are above expectations. Quality of meals could be better for the price.

We spent a week-long family reunion at the lovely Las Lagunas Boutique Hotel. Each couple had a room with its own hot tub room overlooking the laguna, where we could enjoy the French press coffee provided each day. A delicious breakfast was included, and we could even order the night before if we had early morning activities planned the next day. The staff was phenomenal (shout out to Elmer, Alex, and Ovidio in particular). Some family members enjoyed a massage and spa day to start the vacation off right, and they loved it. The pool was lovely and much appreciated after the hot days of exploring Tikal, Flores, the animal rescue site, and monkey island. We had our own vehicle, so I can’t comment on the excursions organized by the hotel, though the staff did assist with local contacts for some of our outings. The only disappointment was the dinner menu, which could be a bit hit or miss. Except for that detail, the facilities met or exceeded our expectations, and we all had a wonderful and unforgettable experience. Thank you!

It's a beautiful place to stay and disconnect from everything else! The staff is outstanding. The restaurant is pretty decent. And there's plenty of things to get you busy throughout the day.

The staff was very kind and the food was really good. Staff constantly cleaned the pool to assure it was clean and overall the hotel was very nice. I wish our television would have worked while we were there as we were unable to use our Netflix app as foreigners. Simple extra touches like turn down service, a working television would have made our experience 5 stars.

Exceptional and unique boutique hotel located on a private lagoon near Flores and about 1.5 hours south of Tikal. True luxury in a jungle environment. Open dining room overlooks the lagoon and food was excellent. Includes courtesy trip into the lagoon each morning to feed the monkeys on an island - monkeys were charming, also saw crocodiles, turtles and many birds.

Without reservation this was the top accommodation we had during our two week stay in Guatemala. Everything was perfect. The food (especially breakfast) was fantastic, the room was impeccably clean, the staff was incredible, and the pool was the perfect setting for relaxation. We stayed in early August and the weather was perfect to spend the day at the pool, then venture back to the room for the hot tub before dinner.

We travel the world and this is definitely one of the best places we have ever stayed at. The hotel has twenty individual units that are large enough for a family of four. The service was impeccable. All staff were trained to know our names and after one meal became familiar with our preferences. The monkey island tour was great and the car service always on time. The spa was average but easily overlooked because of the incredible experience.

Our stay at Las Lagunas was so amazing that it will forever be my benchmark for quality. From our arrival to departure, I have not one single complaint. Be sure to take the monkey island trip (it's included with your stay!). Everything we ate at the restaurant was delicious, too - not a bad item on the menu.

This place blew us away! It’s secluded, but they have most things you’d need right there. Extremely friendly and responsive staff. Their shuttle service to and from the airport really took the stress off from wondering about transportation arrangements. I was in a rush when booking this place, so I didn’t read through most of the descriptions. We were so pleasantly shocked at how much there was to do there. The museum, the lagoon tour, and pool area were all we had time for, since our personal schedule was tight, and I can rave enough about them. Waking up to the sound of howler monkeys echoing through the trees was terrifying at first because we didn’t know about them, but we laugh about it now and appreciate the experience. We had the best servers too. Alex!! Alex was the cherry on top to our stay. He took great care of us and even remembered our food preferences from the night before. When we ordered room service on our last night, he delivered the order with all the personal touches (and we didn’t mention it that time). Thank you so much Alex! My only regret was not staying longer.
