Hilton Garden Inn Auburn

Easy check-in and check out, nice stuff, clean rooms, nice indoor pool outside sitting area However, no safe in the room, which is important to us and for $300 a night, most other hotels give a complementary bottle of water per day. I had to buy one every day. Nice stay , quiet.

No continental breakfast, very disappointing for a Hilton, the pool was green and thick with a scum on the top, and after returning back to the hotel after a long day away to not have any parking available for hotel guests due to an event going on! When I asked about additional parking I was told I could park accross the street and then move my car after 9 to the main lot. HUGE inconvenience and very disappointing!

Nicest hotel in Auburn, hands down. Clean modern room. Decent meal at The Refinery. Very friendly staff, every employee we encountered gave us their full attention. Pool was “off”.. hard to describe but we love to swim and we both felt the smell was off and didn't feel well after taking a short dip.

If a hotel advertises that they have an on site restaurant then that restaurant should be open during normal dinner hours. We chose this hotel over much cheaper options because we wouldn’t have to drive somewhere for dinner after five hours in a car. The website doesn’t say it’s not open Sundays. Restaurants generally close Monday if at all. Not a prime weekend day. Should not close any day in a working hotel in any case but especially not on the weekend. . We ended up with subpar expensive pizza delivery. Not the experience we thought we were paying for.

I expected the pool to be available, it was not.

I absolutely love this hotel. The review would have been excellent except that this is now the second time out of 3 visits that I come and the pool is not functioning. One of the main reasons I book this hotel when I visit is the pool, and not having one is very disappointing. Otherwise, top notch.

This is one of two reasonable options in Auburn and I have now stayed at both. I would say the Hilton Garden Inn is average and typical of most Hilton Garden Inns. There were some cleanliness issues with the suite we had and it was in need of some renovations. Staff however were excellent and responsive. Parking area was spacious and well lit. Had the buffet breakfast and it was reasonably priced. I will stay here again in the future.

Pool heater was broke so pool was cold. Breakfast wasn’t included and didn’t start till 7. The one bed was broke so when you moved the bed swayed and creaked. Defined not worth the 300 a night.

It was a very clean hotel and property. Great restaurant and bar area also.

A quiet oasis in the center of Auburn, right across the bridge from happening downtown area, nice brewery, theater and shopping. The hotel is clean and modern.

Very quite and clean

They were not good at cleaning the room one day they did not really clean the room because they said we had some things left on the bed in other hotels. The maid is always just folded stuff and moved to the side and made the room, but there were no clean towels, so it’s clear they didn’t even try to clean the room. Then yesterday when they clean the room, they didn’t empty out the garbage cans.

The hotel is very clean. All employees were very friendly.

The pool steps were slippery and I fell. The management did nothing about it. The hotel had no food options on Sunday. The shower clogged and the safety bar was falling out of the wall. Not much safety. The wall had stains and we found a syringe under the bed! With got knows what in it. Disgusting. Will never stay again and will write reviews to let people know

Have stayed at Hilton Garden Inns before. The stay was wonderful, but bathrooms need to be updated.

The only complaint is that i always have trouble logging into the internet when I'm at a Hilton. There isn't any other chain that makes it so difficult. And it Seems like for the price they could offer some kind of breakfast. Other than that it was a good stay.

Although the lobby was updated the rooms were not. The bed & pillows were not comfortable. I can now appreciate the country inn & suites by radiosonde that i stayed the day prior had breakfast included along with newer more comfortable bed & pillows. Goes to show you can’t judge a hotel room by its lobby.

It was clean, the mattress was firm and the staff was helpful. What else could you want?

Great central location for going to The Rev. Easy walking to downtown restaurants. Loved that there was a fridge & microwave in the room. Staff was great. Didn’t need daily help but desk help & cleaners were great.

The Hilton Garden is always a nice stay, our room was a little better for the ware, meaning the bed condition and bathroom condition were a bit warn for the hotel, but overall it was still good quality for the price and location of what we wanted.

We were between 2 very noisy rooms on the fourth floor. Doors slamming every 29-30 minutes and loud talking. Called the desk 3-4 times. Ricky, the night desk person was checking the wrong area at 1:00 AM. I got dressed and went in the hall myself trying to catch the people coming out of their rooms. Loud talking coming from both rooms just to ask them to be quieter. I was told the next day we were in a room near people in town for a wedding. It finally became quiet at 1:30am. It as a rough night sleep wise and our bill was over $200.00 with the tax& fees. Ugh.

The person at the front desk checking us out was absolutely terrible. Competent staff is a must. I’ve never had such experience ever at a Hilton

We booked due to reputation of Hilton and it had a suite available and within driving distance to Skaneateles and its renowed Skaneateles Lake. During the first night, My wife left her clothes on floor by the A/C. Next morning the clothes were extremely wet, I checked the carpeting by A/C and found wet carpet was the reason and I informed front desk who said they would look into it. We drove to Skaneateles and returned to hotel in early afternoon. When we got to our room the A/C was completely out and room hot and no one had cleaned the room. I checked in at front desk again and they said the A/C was out completely and we had to get another room. They had not bothered to inform me until then. So we had to wait in a hot room for an hour for an equivalent suite room. Our plans for rest of afternoon was shot We waited for an hour, finally 2nd room was available. We had to move our personal belongings by ourselves. Upon entering the 2nd room, the door wouldn't open, We checked with hotel staff and they found a clothes hanger had been left in during cleaning and door a fire hazard. So we needed a 3rd room. Hotel management eventualy creditred our complete stay (initially after first room problem they had told Expedia who we had booked thru they would not provided any refunds at all). In the end the 3rd room was ok. Another complaint was breakfast was average. We were also told by a staff member that the hotel was still fixing multiple renovations and weren't done yet.

It was almost across the street from a prison, so that's not a big problem, but it's not awesome either.

Although they are currently renovating, the hotel is clean and has a nice fitness center as well. It is convenient to several walkable restaurants.

Everything was fine. Staff was courteous. Only stayed overnight as a layover and left before breakfast was served. Didn't use any amenities. I would definitely stay here again and recommend anyone traveling to the area to stay. Close walk to everything.

The sofa bed mattress is all springs no padding making for an uncomfortable night. The breakfast buffet was cold (scrambled eggs rubbery and cold and the sausages limp and cold). Would have liked to have seen make your own waffles. Limited choice of yogurt. Fruit salad was not ripe.

The milk and juice at the buffet was spoiled and we didnt find out soon enough, both my daughter and myself were violently ill later Saturday.

We had a short vacation stay that was very enjoyable. This Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn provided a clean and comfortable environment with a pleasant and helpful staff. The restaurant and fee for breakfast was a plus when we were tired from travel. The food was good and I would rate 3 star. We did not have to travel more than 10 - 45 minutes to some historical, state fair and finger lakes attractions.

Nice clean and comfortable room. My only complaint is the cost of the breakfast buffet. $30 for two people and the eggs were cold, also not much selection for this price. I have had better breakfasts which were complimentary at other hotels.

The hotel price was double the other hotels on our trip, and there was a charge for breakfast!! Needless to say, we did not eat at the hotel.
