This is an old-fashioned, park your car at your door motel, a real throwback. But inside it's modern, recently renovated, and immaculately clean. Nothing fancy, but everything you need, and very convenient to downtown Belfast. (Not walkable, since you have to cross the big bridge, but only a mile from town.) HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

They had my key waiting for me and when I walked into the room I was pleasantly surprised. My first thought was, “wow, this place smells great!” Later, as I looked around I marveled at how well the housekeeper does her job. (Because I know her name, I know she is a she…please calm down). Spotless, the room was. I stay in a lot of hotels…..The Yankee Clipper is the cleanest of the clean, in my opinion. Funny, it was also the least expensive. Well done!

Cute motel not far from Acadia - perfect place to stop for the night after a day at the park. Very clean, large, comfortable room. It had good amenities and was so quiet I thought maybe I was the only guest. I was surprised the next morning to see so many cars parked in the lot. I highly recommend.

The Yabkee Clipper is the perfect, affordable, convenient Lu located place to stay while you take in the beauty of Maine. The rooms are updated with comfy beds and pillows and nice, absorbent towels. Everything is ultra clean and the staff are so nice and responsive. We’ve stayed in much more expensive places while in the area and they have nothing on The Yankee Clipper. The area is quiet and safe as well. You’ll be so glad you gave it a try!

The room was very clean, as always. We have family that lives in Belfast and we stay at the Yankee Clipper every time we visit them. The tv did not work in the room this most recent time, but it wasnt really an issue because we were only in the room to sleep.

Air Conditioner in my room was clanking and emitted very moldy smelling air. Noise from the nearby highway was louder than other reviewers stated. Room was very clean. Cable TV kept rebooting.

The rooms are immaculate and Quiet! I am super sensitive to noises from heaters and refrigerators but they have modern silent equipment! Even at single digit temps the floor is warm on bare feet! Staff is friendly! Beds firm but not uncomfortable. NO cleaning smells! One of my favorite places to stay on business!

It was a decent place to stay over night. Room was ok. Not very big of in a wheelchair . Sidewalks are brick. Hard on wheelchairs. Very hard to see the slight ramp that is needed to get onto the sidewalk. Their is no one on duty at night after 9 pm. If you need something or to check in you have to contact motel a couple miles down the road. It is a place to shower and lay your head.

Took a last minute girls trip and found this gem. Possibly the cleanest motel I've ever stayed, comfy beds too. Check in and check out process was very easy. Great customer service and genuine kindness from the staff! I'd stay again.

There are a few things that I would like in addition to what is already there for a perfect stay....dehumidification, grab bar inside tub, towel bars on wall in bathroom, and a better in-room coffee making system. Otherwise, this is the absolute perfect place to stay. It is slightly less expensive because there is no fabulous lounge or pool, but it is convenient walking distance to everything in Belfast Harbor, has the most comfortable mattress and bedding, fantastic water pressure, wonderful kitchenette with microwave, outstanding refrigerator, and kitchenette shelves. Plenty of room inside the room, chairs, desk, TV with great channels, and nice places to sit outside the room. We have stayed there with our dog before and it was super comfortable for him and us. So nice! When any of my family visits Belfast, we stay at the Yankee Clipper Motel because it is so good!!!
