Aashram Hotel by Niagara River

You get what you pay for. Breakfast was basic, not eggs etc. Gym just had a treadmill. Pro's - Staff were very responsive.

Hotel room was nice and clean. Checking in, had to wait a couple min before anyone came out to help. The area around the hotel didn’t look like the best of neighborhoods. The parking lot is small, I think there was another one on the other side of the building but it looked sketchy over there.

I would strongly suggest to avoid this hotel, though its around 5-6 miles from Niagara state park the hotel is not good for stay. When I checked in the lady in the reception was courteous, but when we entered the room there was only one light working the others were not. Shower tub has mold across the corner. The AC was not cooling the room enough so I called the front desk atleast 10 times no one responded, then I went in person to let them know the problem. Peter the front desk person was extremely rude and he said I can check out if I am not comfortable, the time was around 1 am. He was not even ready to provide alternative like a fan etc, instead he said he will call the police. The front desk person Peter has some serious attitude issue, he was not ready to understand the problem of guest. The breakfast was moderate, they serve Waffle, muffin, Apple and coffee. One last thing I am surprised was, the hotel do not have lift, I checked in with 2 check-in bags and I had to lift it on the stairs. Its better to look for good hotel, its not worth for money and comfort

We stayed on the 2nd floor and while the room was not too bad, there was no elevator to bring our luggage up the stairs. It made carrying all our suitcases a bit difficult.

The continental breakfast was really good. Lack of elevator made it difficult to carry stuff to 2nd floor. Otherwise, had a pleasant stay.

This place was average. Seems older and they’ve not made upgrades to it. Old carpet and tile in rooms. Old A/C unit which was loud. Bed was uncomfortable and also seemed old. Scratchy sheets. Wallpaper in bathroom is peeling. Ice machine is broken so front desk staff had to give us ice from his personal ice tray. Only one light worked in the room.

The bed was decent. The shower was awful. It was jury rigged together. The shower wasnt very clean. No coffee maker in room & the one in lobby was locked up except for breakfast. The hotel was full of an ethnic group of people & you couldnt get breakfast or sit down. They just took over the whole place.

The annoying thing in the hotel description is that there is a fitness After going there, I found a small room and a broken treadmill But the hotel is quite good and the customer service is good and their treatment is nice

Ice machine not worked.

There was no way to get coffee after breakfast. They turn the coffee dispenser off and takes the cups away and there wasn’t coffee maker and/or microwave at the room what is weird for today’s hotels standards. Bedding was ok

Spotless clean and welcoming

The location was perfect, the staff was amazing, the room clean, beds comfortable, appliances clean & working; breakfast was great. 2 day stay was perfect to visit the Falls/Canada

The building is a little older. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The room was clean and it was mostly quiet

I was in a family trip and we stayed in three different rooms. All rooms were terribly dirty. There was some kind of foul smell in the rooms.

I was in room 120. There was black mold in the bathroom in several places; the towels were supposed to be white, but were a bit grey; the shower head was held together with zip ties; the refrigerator wasn't cold and no freezer; the baseboards were disgusting; there was a gap around the door; the person who checked us in was not welcoming at all and when checking out, you just left the key, we were not given receipts or even a thank you.

The room was ready for us when we arrived, and it was comfortable to sleep in the bed. The smell of the cleaning agent was overpowering, and once it faded (after we opened the window for a while) it was very musty. The rest of our stay, each time we walked into the room there was a strong scent of must and mildew, which we noticed was coming from the bathroom. The shower is in desperate need of a deep clean and recaulking, and the air vent in that room was dusty. There was also wallpaper peeling with mildew growing underneath and around it in the bathroom. Definitely the economy option for staying in the Niagara Falls, NY area. Not bad for breakfast, the muffins were pretty good - the waffle machine made some yummy waffles, but there is only one, so if theres a big group, then the wait can be pretty long. Overall, not bad, but definitely not good if you're sensitive to mold and mildew.

Staff was friendly and price was good, however the bathroom vent was covered in black mould aswell as alot of the tile in the shower. Towels and curtains were stained and it just felt like the cleaning was very basic and didn’t cover any more than vaccuming the floors and changing the sheets

Very good hotel all around for the price. Clean, close to the falls, well maintained, friendly staff, solid breakfast included. Better across the board than other comparably priced hotels.

Didn't access food, lines too long. Did like coffee availability. Bed very comfortable except for pillows, next time we'll bring our own.

3 beds in our room a great option for big families

The rooms are not insulated you hear everything from next door taking a shower to hear someone throwing up on the shower , the guess are horrible they don’t respect the time to check in an start throwing doors an speaking loud language! I had to get up a tell them that I need to sleep it was 1-2am an I had a flight at 6am. I call front office the upstairs room same issue they told me there was a check in a people had no respect walking like they had bricks on there foot a the loud water running! Is not the right rating start I expected. The continental was very poor ! I’m personally will not book again! People look up for great alternatives.

Clean room and beds and linens were super comfortable

The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. However the walls are very thin and you could hear when other rooms were using their water. Also the room door would rattle every time anyone went thru the outside door down the hall. And the smoking area was right outside out window so we could hear people talking at all hours.

This hotel was perfectly fine for our visit. It was off the main area and felt safe. The room was clean and comfortable. It was the perfect stay for 5 of us. First hotel room I’ve stayed in that had 3 bed.

Good price, nice staff. If you don’t care about relatively small room, this is the place to go!

Very good value. We reserved one of the family rooms with the 3 separate beds, and it worked well. They were soft, room was clean, and bathroom had soap and shampoo. The free breakfast was a wafflemaker, toast, and cereal, and juice and coffee, but it did the trick. Highly recommend and would definitely go again. Only real drawbacks are that you have to drive like 10 minutes to see any of the niagara falls attractions, but since we already had a rental car that was no issue at all.

You could hear all the noise from other rooms up and around, and worse - the beds were squeaking in every slightest move.

If you can avoid this property, do so. Staff will not reimburse payments made even if they cannot find your reservation. Guy at the front desk was incredibly impolite. Avoid if possible.

The room was nice and clean but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The lady at the front desk was rude on check in and during checking out.

Only 2 good things about the property are cleanliness ans location. Breakfast is pathetic and is for namesake and only has breads, muffins and waffel. Owners especially the lad is a weired psycho. Can shout on anyone for no reason.

Awful service. We got a Stinky room and when I asked about making it smell a lil fresh, the guy asked me to spray the freshner myself which clearly shows the negligence on the management part.

A good location and reasonable price for someone visiting Niagara Falls. It was clean and adequate for our needs.

Location is excelent for visiting Niagra Falls attractions. Clean, staff was friendly, room was all it needed to be be; clean and quiet and just off the exit.

Property looks old but rooms were decent enough & reasonably priced. Recommend this motel if you're looking for a night or two stay. Location is not far from Niagara falls state park.

It’s good for Niagara fall visit around 5-10 minutes drive to Niagara fall economical

There was nothing around the property. We were going to the Falls so it served our purpose but finding dinner around the hotel was limited. The hotel was clean, staff were nice so again great place for the price.

Not happy with breakfast options

Just an average hotel. The windows screen were torn in the room. There was only one waffle maker for entire breakfast area.

This is a budget hotel, which worked for a place to sleep. It was clean, but not pristine, there were smudges on walls, etc. The breakfast was carbs and yogurt. If you wanted any protein or something other than bread, muffins, or waffle, you must look elsewhere.

The stay was good. We have stay here before. Affordable and great lication, the only difference this time no continental breakfast just coffee and tea. But will stay again

There’s no available staff to help us check in right away. The breakfast was very limited. Not that much selection.

The breakfast couldve been better. It was lots of carbs, whole milk only. Yogurt. The only fruit was apples. Zero protein.

So this booking came with continental breakfast. This place didn’t provide anything. Also very shady practices. When I had called hotel direct they wanted to charge me $250usd for each room. When I told them that is outrageous as the crowned plaza is not even that expensive I asked if there was any way to lower the cost ie aaa or caa and they said they could take $50 per room off for the full breakfast. Which again they did t even give. Ridoculous

You need to add at least one more waffle maker

Just a normal hotel breakfast. Not enough tables for everyone made the experience uncomfortable.
