The room was fabulous, it was GREAT having the shower and toilet in the room, and it was great having little curtains to provide privacy and cages under the beds for storage (make sure you bring a padlock). Plenty of power sockets near the beds too. The ONLY downside was that the room overlooked the courtyard and any one smoking outside meant that the room smelled mildly of smoke, and whilst I am sure it was possible I was unable to open the windows in the middle of the night when it got very hot as more and more bodies joined the room.

The Bad... The lift was broken, and they put a wheelchair bound gentleman up 4 flights of stairs!! That's next level awful! Service was the worst. Rooms were not ready at check-in time, staff was overtly rude to other patrons, and they made a fuss that I requested a receipt at check-out. As mentioned, the lift was broken, so it was 5 levels of stairs everytime we went to the room. Rooms were not ready until about a half hour after check in time. Zero ventilation in the room - we were absolutely suffocating in the room! I cannot overstate how uncomfortable the temperature was in the room. TV in the room had no channels. The shower is on a timer--you have to push the button every 15 seconds to keep the water going. The bed sheets were too small for the bed, so they came right off with any movement. The Good... It wasn't gross. Everything seemed reasonably clean. Location is alright. They charge for luggage storage, but we got it for free. The wifi signal was okay throughout the building.

The room we had was unbearably hot. it was a Summer night, but the daytime temp had only reached 22C so not the hottest of days. Thankfully there was a fan in the room, but it wasn't very effective and we had to leave it on all night with the window open to feel the effect. This made the room quite noisy with sirens and general traffic from the road. On top of that, the metal framed bed and a paper thin mattress. Every time we rolled over the whole frame would squeak like a balloon so we kept waking each other up. We all had a poor night's sleep and woke in the morning with muscle cramps from uncomfortable bed and headaches from the fan blowing on us. Genuinely couldn't wait to get out of the room just to breath oxygen again. Usually I put up with a lot and adjust my expectations for price, but at £145 for a single night I would rather pay £20 extra to stay in a Premier Inn.

This means they do not have a working elevator for a long time. There are no air-conditioning units in the rooms. We booked 2 rooms with bathrooms in each room. The hotel is in an okay location close to the tube station, McDonald’s, co-op etc this is the only good point. One of the 2 elevators out of order. The only other remaining elevator was deliberately disabled by housekeeping during the 3pm check in. We had 3 heavy suitcases that we carried up the stairs.

If possible, I would give 0 stars for this property. The rooms were dirty (except for the sheets, but full of hair). The toilets were TERRIBLY dirty (I wish I could post pictures here). They cleaned the toilets once during the 4 days I was there. My new perfume was stolen from my bag. There was some weird people around all the time and I felt unsafe (I learned later that they receive homeless people from the government). I asked for a cleaning on Monday evening and they said that the cleaning team would come only 7am the next day. If they have such movement of people they should have a spare cleaning team for the weekend. The staff was lazy and unhelpful. I asked for a refund because of the cleaning and they denied. NEVER AGAIN.

Arrived late, around 11pm, it was raining and I waited in line at least 25 minutes. There was only one person at the check in desk. When I finally made it to the room (triple but was staying alone), there was some sort of noise just outside the window that went on all night long. When I was ready to brush my teeth, it turns out that the sink in the bathroom was clogged. I was super exhausted at this point but still went downstairs to the reception desk. The guy there was nice but totally nice helpful. He was looking for a pliers or a wrench or something so that I could pull the thing that blocks the drain but he couldn't find anything. I was quite fed up and told him that I would just brush my teeth in the shower or something. There was also no outlets near the bed to charge my phone and the hotel itself was decently maintained. I probably paid close to $60 for that one night. Should have added a few more dollars to get something better. Wouldn't recommend.

We booked the family room with a queen bed and a pull out couch with an ensuite - it was pretty good - ac was nice and cold - the location was easy to manage buses and trains and had good dining options around it - the place seems a bit sketchy when you first arrive lots of young people - we are 56-58 and our 30 yr old daughter - this wasn't too bad cost wise compared to other hotels in London and I don't think I realized how much of a hostel it is because of the room I booked - pull out couch wasn't great - be ok for kids not an adult and the bed was fine but plastic mattress and floopy feel to it - but it was fine for the 2 nights - room is the nicest there for sure - needs a curtain on one of the windows badly and the noise at night outside from traffic sirens and people sitting on the steps of the front of the building playing music at 1 am as annoying - but overall it was fine

The Hotel itself is very good. Rooms nice. Plenty of room. The only problem when we were there was the Lift was out of service and we were on the top floor. But we would defo book again.. Well worth the money.

Had a lovely time here. My boyfriend and I booked the family room, and it was much more spacious than I was expecting. We were next to the road so there was noise but it was absolutely fine and we slept well! Tip for families: we could feel the mattress springs so we put a duvet on top of the bed to sleep on which was brilliant. Overall, great stay and no complaints.

Hotel is in zone 1 of the underground so good location but thats the only good thing i can say about this hotel. Not clean at all room looks unfinished ours had no skirting board looked like they had been ripped off bits of the shower were missing and tv didnt work. As for the beds well what can i say but prison mattress blue plastic and very uncomfortable

Zero ventilation in the room - we were absolutely suffocating in the room! I cannot overstate how uncomfortable the temperature was in the room. TV in the room had no channels. The shower is on a timer--you have to push the button every 15 seconds to keep the water going. The bed sheets were too small for the bed, so they came right off with any movement. The Good... It wasn't gross. Everything seemed reasonably clean. Location is alright. They charge for luggage storage, but we got it for free. The wifi signal was okay throughout the building.

The bedding and the curtains were good. The bathroom was dirty and partly blocked. But what was really bad was the staff. Can anyone teach the receptionists to smile and be welcoming? It feels like a badly run corporation. The guy just walked away after giving me the key. He did not show me where I was going as it is such a big place and I thought the lit was not working because he never showed me how to use it with the key. He never showed me the bathrooms apart from one at the bottom off the corridor, which I found myself. As a result, I could not even have a shower. I did find a helpful lady who helped me to find my room. The level of customer service in that place is really poor. It feels cold and impersonal. It feels the place is churning out customers and all that matters is making max profit. I would not go back and will not recommend it either. Please spare the usual comment 'we are trying our best to improv. You are obviously not trying hard enough. You need staff who care about the guests and smile from time to time

The hotel is in an okay location close to the tube station, McDonald’s, co-op etc this is the only good point. Firstly £3 charge to leave your luggage, the hijabi reception workers were unfriendly and unprofessional. The rooms now have no curtains on the beds so you’re exposed to everyone. This place is a combination of tourists, cheap workers\' accommodation and also what appears a homeless refuge of some type more than a true tourist hostel. Dodgy types hanging around the lobby and common area, smell of weed probably from those smoking outside. Staff\'s attitude is 0/10, the "don\'t know/don\'t care/leave me alone" type, you cannot help but feel as if they are doing you a huge favour when checking you in or when asking to refill water jugs. Surprisingly, facilities are spacious and appear recent, altough toilet/shower vents, door locks, etc still may not work. Cleanliness is a a bit of a roulette, can be great, but also poor. Clean bed sheets and bunk bed curtains are a big plus. Area outside is a bit dodgy, although seen a lot worse. Numerous ethnic places much as indian/halal/Latin to eat nearby which helps. Location is good with numerous buses right outside, and a short walk from the metro.

We booked the family room with a queen bed and a pull out couch with an ensuite - it was pretty good - ac was nice and cold - the location was easy to manage buses and trains and had good dining options around it - the place seems a bit sketchy when you first arrive lots of young people - we are 56-58 and our 30 yr old daughter - this wasn't too bad cost wise compared to other hotels in London and I don't think I realized how much of a hostel it is because of the room I booked - pull out couch wasn't great - be ok for kids not an adult and the bed was fine but plastic mattress and floopy feel to it - but it was fine for the 2 nights - room is the nicest there for sure - needs a curtain on one of the windows badly and the noise at night outside from traffic sirens and people sitting on the steps of the front of the building playing music at 1 am as annoying - but overall it was fine

This place is in an edgy area and is huge hundreds of guests so you can imagine I s hectic. Couldn’t sleep but no buggy was just not my kinda place - too many people that’s all. Would stay again if in sea for work as it’s in a ggood of location for everything in central London- a 1 night spot

A clean good value place to stay in a good location. A couple of things as a sole female there staying for work which gave me pause. The first was I was woken in the middle of the night first to a really strong smell of let's call herbal 'smoke'. The windows were closed so it was not coming from outside. Possibly connected I was then woken twice by two fire alarms at 2am and then 3am. Apparently it was impossible to determine who had been smoking. My stay which was supposed to make me rested for a nearby office day meant I got no sleep. I was also concerned that in my ground floor room all the windows were not secured properly when I entered- anyone could have opened them and come directly off a busy London street. I would consider going again but it left me feeling uncertain and not rested.

Hotel is in zone 1 of the underground so good location but thats the only good thing i can say about this hotel. Not clean at all room looks unfinished ours had no skirting board looked like they had been ripped off bits of the shower were missing and tv didnt work. As for the beds well what can i say but prison mattress blue plastic and very uncomfortable
