Red Roof Inn Needles

The managers, Sam and Karen, are fantastic. They really do all they can to make your experience fantastic. The motel itself is pretty basic, but it’s nice and clean. I have stayed here twice and it is a great value.

Great budget accommodation. Spacious room, extremely clean. We were asked if we wanted a ground floor room which was great as we had a lot of luggage and could park next to our door. Breakfast was adequate and the host extremely helpful in giving us some local knowledge. We would recommend this motel to anyone on a budget who appreciates a well maintained motel.

The rooms were clean and made you feel like you were in a more upscale hotel. The staff was very friendly and I could bring my dog, most important of all.

We enjoyed our stay at Red Roof Inn so much that we drove an extra two hours on our way back so we could stay there again! The owers are lovely people, very warm, kind, and friendly. The rooms are not fancy, but they are *spotless,* and everything (AC, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, hot showers) works great. The parking lot has easy pull-through spots if you are towing a trailer (which is what drew us to this motel in the first place), and abundant single-vehicle parking for those not towing to park in. It also is very well lit, with extra LED lighting from the rooftop all the way around, which we really appreciated. The whole experience felt very safe and friendly. We would absolutely stay here again!

It's a nice place with a friendly staff. Definately older and in good, but not excellent condition. Breakfast was nice. Undortunately ice was only available by asking at the main desk as both ice machines were out of service. The resteraunt across the parking lot was excellent.

Older motel, but OK. quiet, clean.

It was a great stop. On our way to Arizona. We asked for a ironing board and an iron and we were given a brand new everything. I would stay here again.

Completely reasonable accommodations for the price. Room was clean; we felt perfectly safe. We had no issues, and staff was friendly. Property is years past it prime but still comfortable. Again, perfectly fine, maybe even a bargain, for the rate we paid.

So worth going a little off the beaten path. Comfortable, clean, friendly, rv parking, pet friendly and my daughter and I felt safe there. Grounds are lit, beds are comfortable, and breakfast was so good. Owners are so friendly. For the amazing price my expectations were low so I was extremely happy. Highly recommend from one that travels frequently. Will absolutely stay there again when heading anywhere nearby!!! Ty!!!

Clean, ice cold air conditioning, comfortable, and pet friendly.

Property was clean and fresh, room was clean and comfortable. Easy access shower with good pressures. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

Floors were filthy, bathroom sink didn’t work, were bugs in the room and the ac wasn’t working. The service was ok though.

The good: very nice front desk worker. The first room had a clogged toilet full of waste. the rooms are disgusting. Heavy deodorizer is sprayed by housekeeping that can not clean. Everything dirty and gross. The bed tilted badly. I stayed at 2 RR inns this trip - both - the floors turn your feel black if you walk barefoot for a moment. You can see the mop streaks of cleaning them with very dirty water. This one I asked for extra towel and cleaned the floor myself on arrival - but didn't expect the rest to be so bad.

Our room was very clean. The bathroom sparkles and the sheets are new. The people at the front desk are vwry nice and eager to help their customers. This is a 2 star hotel with 5 star service.

Dust on all the windowsills, bugs on the window sills facing the parking lot. And I'd you're not going to have the continental breakfast available say so at check so the guest can plan accordingly.

The toilet was not secured against the wall and moved every time you sat on it. It also smelled like a sewage problem in the bathroom. The floor was so dirty, my feet were black underneath. Luckily brought some lysol wipes and wiped the floor down a bit. The lady at the front desk was super nice though.

Pretty bad. Greeted by a pleasant lady but rapidly deteriorated after that. A filthy floor ( my feet were black), three dead cockroaches and a view one side of the bin and concrete wall, and on the other, some sort of parking lot. Towels were a bit threadbare, No soap. TV subtitles stuck on. All the cigarette butts and filth ended up at the door because of how the wind blew. They should use the room (114 I think) for storage and not let it out, it's tucked away in the corner under a stair. It's really nasty! As a result, we didn't risk the breakfast as we wondered what the hygiene was like in the kitchen; went down the road to the very good Wagon Wheel instead. I would definitely spend the extra and stay down the road instead.

Advertisement showed suite with 2 complete showers, sinks and toilets only had one. If they had opened other door it would most likely have been what was pictured. I would have stuck with 2 separate rooms if their depicted pictures were of what we actually were given. Also place was lit up so bright outside and no blackout curtains hardly slept.

I arrived a little early and the check-in went well. The room was clean, but I was a little confused. There were two remotes for the TV. A very nice puzzle. The coffee maker was not plugged in, but you had to take it over by the TV to plug it in. Be sure to turn on the shower, hot water in advance as it takes about 30 minutes to 40 minutes for it to get a little hot otherwise it’s just lukewarm. But then again there’s a marijuana dispensary right across the parking lot very convenient.

Given the room rate, I wasn’t expecting the Taj Mahal, just a clean room with a functioning mechanical system inside and out. The reality was significantly less than that. The room smelled of a strange disinfectant that was unexpected, but tolerable. In the middle of the night the AC unit started to screech EVERY time the fan stopped. I knew the only solution would have been to switch rooms in the middle of the night and I was unwilling to do that to my 80 y.o. who was with me. Even without her hearing aids, she was bothered by it as well. As for the “limited” continental breakfast, I was disappointed by the choices available and appalled by the food handling itself. The milk had sat in an open pitcher for days as evidenced by the ring of congealed milk on the side of the pitcher. The ice machine took 5 minutes to dispense enough ice for 2 glasses, then quit. When these issues were brought up with the owner/manager, I was told it was my fault for not calling in the middle of the night about the AC and being moved to another room. The response to the breakfast issues was a shrug, as was the ice machine. She then just walked away and closed a door. The only bright point was being directed where to get cheaper gas. While helpful, it certainly did not make up for the major shortcomings of the stay. I would urge any travelers to give this establishment a wide berth.

Room was not a typical Red Roof experience. It was basic and clean, but the air took until literally 230am to get anywhere close to tolerable. If you need a basic plac it’s ok, but being in a sweat box after a cold shower was not what we needed after 8 hours in the road.

Got to the room and it was over 100 degrees. The ac had not been turned on before we entered. We've been here for an hour and a half and still hot.

I met Sam at breakfast. Super hospitable, sweet, and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay at her hotel is perfect. My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Great place to stop and get some rest on a long roadtrip. I was driving coast to coast and it met all my needs.

The husband and wife team that manages this property are terrific. They genuinely care about their guests' comfort and needs, and made sure our stay was very good. If we're ever passing through Needles again, we'll definitely stay here!

The front desk person made me cry he was so rude. We booked through hotels.com and when we got there he refused to give us our room. He claimed not to have been paid. He also gave us a hard time about our service dog. He threatened me several times and left the lobby for a period of time without explanation. Never will I ever stay at another red roof inn. The is more but too much to type

Absolutely wonderful stay. The staff was amazing! The room was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed staying here and the price was right. A simple breakfast, but the woman who runs the place was so accommodating.

The manager Sam, her husband Nick and their daughter were delightful and very attentive. Our check-in was seamless and they made sure our stay was comfortable and friendly. We will return when we are back in the area.

We will be calling Red Roof Inn Corporate. Called four times to let them know that we would be late. No answer, no voice mail. The hotelier’s wife told us the next day she saw we called, and thought about calling us back but did not. Check in was fine. After unpacking, about ten minutes we noticed that there was no remote for the TV. Went to the hotelier he was sorry, said that he was sorry asked if we really looked around. Came to our room, with a remote that would not work the TV but would change the channels. TV was too loud so we were unable to watch it as it was late. The next morning we went to the “lite breakfast which consisted of Eggo- Waffles individually wrapped, which the Hotelier mistress told us were amazing Later after we returned to our room to do some work and get ready to leave, I thought to ask if we could get an hour or hour and a half late check. The mistress said no way without a late fee. I was stunned. I said you are joking, she said no. She said that after all the free things she gave us we would have to pay. I said that is horrible customer service and she yelled at me that I was a horrible and that I needed to leave. My wife heard her from all the way across the parking lot. Later I we r back to get some cold water and she told me to leave since her custom was so bad. We are stunned. Oh, yah when returned to our room after breakfast, remarkable the TV remote was sitting on the cabinet. Not a word said. Twilight Zone.

Easy check in. Friendly staff

Check-in relatively slow; 1st room I was given (#106) had not been cleaned so was given an upgrade, room #217. In this room: AC/Heater non-functioning; Sink hot water - in contrast to the powerful cold - barely sprays out; Sink clogged, I actuated the stop-valve and hair, etc floated up from the drain. This helped it eventually drain out the water; Water leak from behind the sink kicked out pint or two of water across bathroom floor; Bath mirror cracked across it’s entire face; Microwave glass base plate not original so doesn’t spin when in use. Bottom line: My price, at best, should have been 1/2 what I paid ($89 total). But at least it’s pet friendly.

Good value stop over between Grand Canyon and Los Angeles. Sam goes out of her way to make your stay pleasant. Restaurants within walkable distance.

Little did I know that the train tracks were directly across the street. Freight trains all night long. But otherwise not bad.

The property is just across from a major freeway and train line so at time there was a noise issue. The listing said that breakfast was included. It would have been helpful if it clarified that only a cold breakfast was provided.

The room was clean, in good condition, and comfortable, for a quite reasonable price. The continental breakfast was satisfactory, and the manager was very nice and helpful.

I booked here for the free breakfast, but in the morning, I found the lobby and breakfast area locked, with a "closed" notice taped to the window.

Manager was Awesome! The Continental Breakfast was really good. There were great options to choose from. The room was clean. I will choose this property every year for my stay!
