Biggest plus for this apartment hotel is the location, a lively neighborhood with good options for food and drink literally out the back door, and an entertaining 15 minute walk from the tube and railway station, and a few minutes more to fab Borough Market. Great to have a kitchen for breakfast and mid-day snacks, and the washing machine is a big plus too. Internet worked speedily. We were here for five nights, and enjoyed our stay. Great linens, bed, towels. We understood going in that this is not a hotel, and liked it for that, and the 24 hour staff were friendly and responsive. Although overall pretty clean, it was a little dusty around the corners in the room, and the shower leaked through the gap in the door--really minor things in an overall wonderful stay. We will stay again when in London.

Really enjoyed the BL. The staff was very accommodating, we stayed inside courtyard suite so we could sit outside in the mornings for coffee. We cooked on one night and managed with just the essentials they provide. The gym was great, it had everything we needed despite being small. It does requires a reservation but we had no problem securing time. We really enjoyed the walk from the hotel through Bermondsey to the London Tower underground with access to everything. Lots of bars, restaurants and food stores within a few minutes walk. Would stay there again without hesitation.

This hotel was great. Clean, comfortable and the location was great. The staff was incredible. We stayed here for 10 days so the staff got to know us and we would chat with them daily. If we had to make a minor complaint it would be the location of our room. We were on the ground floor behind the kitchen of the restaurant so we could smell the food cooking. This room location also had a terrace that opened into a courtyard which we loved. So it was worth while. We also ate at the restaurant one night it was convenient and delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location close to a bus stop and walking distance to the tube and national rail to get anywhere within the city. The property itself was very clean and quiet. The set up of the room made it feel spacious enough, and had a small kitchenette area that was nice. Nice staff - responsive and helpful. Really enjoyed my stay here - highly recommend!

It was wonderful. The Locke team is amazing. The apartment has a full kitchen and it was overall a great stay for us. The location is also great with attractions and the train within walking distance. Local shops to buy food are close. Several buses stop right in front of or behind the hotel.

No hot water for my two night stay, r which many room temperature showers. They said the boiler was having a problem. Unacceptable for any star hotel, much less a four star one. Also, the bathroom reeked of a strong musty odor that permeated throughout the entire room. Otherwise, the room was nice, clean, and the staff very friendly. But the lack of hot water really ruined the experience, and the bad smell.

Hotel was wonderful and I would stay again. Everyone was very helpful and location was PERFECT! Room was comfortable and we felt safe. However the shower did smell very moldy and water always stayed on the hotter side (there was an issue with the water during our stay). There needs to be bathroom vents to pull the moisture.

Overall a good stay. The structure is in good condition with a nice common area on the ground floor, which is also shared with people that are not guests and come here to study/work. The room was of a good dimension, reasonably clean and very quite. Only inconvinient was that everytime we showered a good amount of water was leaking from the shower's door flooding all the floor.

Excellent location. Good staff quick check in. And really nice room. Good Mexican food and cocktails downstairs as well as a good coffee from the onsite barista. Only negative was the foisty smell in the bathroom.

Internet was reliable. Room was fine but there were not many plugs. No where to plug in the hairdryer close to the bathroom or a mirror. The light switches are odd too. The bed was cool ( canopy) but on either side of the bed there were lights and buttons to control them. On the left side the bulb was blown and that switch seemed to only control that light. The other side controlled the other lights in the unit. The bathroom was clean but could use some updating. The shower had an open grate and there was a strong sewer smell. The shower door also leaked and every time i used it and the bathroom floor was wet despite towels placed there etc. The location is great. Felt very safe and it’s close to groceries and restaurants and a straight walk of about 10 minutes to tower bridge. Overall it was a good experience but I’ve stayed in other Locke properties and they were nicer

Lot's to like about Bermonds Locke. Ok, first the not-so-great, the WifFi is awful in the rooms and the pillows leave much to be desired, and the rooms are made up weekly, which forces you to have to call for basics like toilet paper, towels etc. The good, the staff is top notch. The rooms are spacious. There is a bus stop outside, the tube is a 15 minute walk, the area is quiet, and yet you are close to Bourough Market (and restaurnts and bars), and Bermondsy, which has pubs, restuarants, coffee shops etc. We'd definately stay there again, especially if you want more space for longer stays.

Great location, friendly staff but the bed was horrible. The front desk said that they would give me a new mattress. They didn’t but exchanged the feather mattress topper which did nothing to help with the major sagging right in the middle of the mattress. They also flipped the mattress and that didn’t work either. They offered after two nights to move me to another room. I asked how old the hotel was and they said 3 1/2 years. At that point, I wasn’t gonna waste half of my sightseeing day to pack up and move to another room. My assumption was all their beds would be in terrible shape because the mattress I was sleeping on was only 3 1/2 years old. There’s no way a 3 1/2 year-old mattress would be so miserable to sleep on unless they bought cheap mattresses when they opened the apartment hotel. Then the morning I left, there was no hot water. So lucky me I got to fly all the way back to San Antonio, Texas from London without being able to take a shower before leaving for the airport. The property was cute in a great location and the staff very friendly I definitely don’t recommend staying here because of the mattress issue I will be contacting the hotel directly as I feel I should be compensated for something with between no hot water and a miserable bed

Very nice place, convenient and super friendly staff. The particular room we were assigned was difficult with luggage we had for a total of 3 week trip (4 nights at this location)…. The layout was very restricted in where to put things. The other couple we traveled with had a different room layout and it was MUCH better.

The A/C unit wasn't working in my room (room 622). After trying to reboot the A/C and setting a temperature, it still didn't work. I'm talking about 30°, extremely stuffy, sealed windows. I went to enquire about the A/C unit and was told that I could get a refund - apparently there were no other rooms available (which isn't what the internet said). It was late at night, I really had no options here. Worst sleep i've ever had. The day after they said they'd send maintenance up. I later got a phone call that I can change room - It really started to sense to me that it was known the AC unit was broken here throughout each encounter. It was horrendous. When I got back I was moved to a new room which was a lot smaller. I'd expect a lot more from a hotel that refers to themselves as four star.

Funky place, main floor is a work space for outside patrons, felt like you were walking through an office to get to your hotel room. Our room was the first floor that faced the bus stop and with double decker buses, we had to close the curtains full time, felt like we were in a basement suite.

Well, what a view over London skyline, the London eye and the shard to the right at the back aspect of this hotel. Would be amazing on New Year’s Eve!!! It was really spacious with cute little kitchenette. Not our norm but good if you don’t want to eat out. Literally 5 mins walk to tower bridge. Restaurants and bars. Lovely situation

Staff was very courteous and helpful from beginning to the end. However, this place seems more like a rental apt than a hotel room, e.g. rooms are only cleaned once in 7 days; u can request linen to change your own beds; no trash bags or pick up available- just one small trash can in the bathroom; only one bedspread for one of two beds and no closet. Perfect for someone who needs a temporary apartment but not for someone looking for a traditional hotel room. Again, wonderful stagf!

Our room had an accessible shower which was missing a gasket on the bottom of one of the glass panels. When we showered water flowed the bathroom and out into the hallway outside the bathroom. We had problems with the electrical outlets. We asked several times but no one came and helped.

Such a lovely place to stay, very modern and chilled. Rooms are lovely although we had a problem with the air conditioning not working in our room and it was such a hot weekend. Contacted reception the following morning and they couldn’t do enough to help. They upgraded us free of charge to another room, extended our check out and had a partial refund for the inconvenience caused. Overall very impressed and would go back. Thank you

For the price, I would have expected more. Stayed a week and the room was never once cleaned or new towels brought in. Upon arriving the first day, I opened a dresser drawer that had a pair of dirty sweat pants in it that had a bunch of blood on them. I informed the front desk and she was very apologetic and said that she would send someone up to retrieve them. The following day I received a very apologetic text about the incident and that they would have someone come up and refresh the entire room, and new towels. Then to enjoy complimentary breakfast on them. No one ever came and I responded to then in the same message they had sent me about no one ever cleaning the room or replacing the towels. Never received a response or heard from anyone the rest of the trip. I've gotten better service for WAY less per day then this place. We will not be returning for a second go round. Sorely disappointed!!

The location is close to tower bridge. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Units are very clean. Amenities plenty. There is a large area in the lobby that is structured like a coworking space. Plugs and tables all over. Only issue I would have is that cleaning is done once a week, so even for a 6 night stay you would not get sheets changed.

Not a traditional hotel. The front desk tells you up front they only clean the room once a week, unless you tell them sooner. They won't refresh your towels or change your sheets, because they state it's apartment-style rooms. They don't have phones in the room so you can WhatsApp chat them or call them with your phone (we were international so we couldn't), and they would take half hour to respond to our messages, then over an hour after that for the housekeeping to come give us toilet paper and towels. The front area is the hotel is home to a bunch of people to come study on laptops all day, so it's open to the public as well. The rooms are cute and do look like the photos but just be aware it's not a regular hotel experience.

Had a booking issue (my fault) and send an email in attempt to resolve before we arrived. Did not receive response. Arrived and the young lady at the service desk was very friendly and resolve the issue. We discovered during the night the AC was not functioning and it was 26.5 degrees Celsius in the room. Contacted a young man at the desk and informed him about the conditions, we received no message about our room and after a long day returned to the room to discover there was no change and still had a miserable night. Went to the front desk again and expressed my concern, as told that the system was just overloaded. I insisted they they check again, at which point they determined the AC was not functioning. They then offered to move our accommodations. The rest of our stay went without issue. We found the location to be excellent with many nice pubs and eating opportunities nearby., would highly recommend Woolpack. Room was clean and had all the amenities we needed in the room, even an iron with an ironing board. Staff was very friendly, just could have had a bit more communication on day 1 and 2.

Wonderful location within walking distance to Tower Bridge and London Br Station. Around the corner from Bermondsey St with lots of good food. Frequency Cafe downstairs had excellent coffees and pastries! Kitchenette was nice to have in the room! Would stay again!

Well, what a view over London skyline, the London eye and the shard to the right at the back aspect of this hotel. Would be amazing on New Year’s Eve!!! It was really spacious with cute little kitchenette. Not our norm but good if you don’t want to eat out. Literally 5 mins walk to tower bridge. Restaurants and bars. Lovely situation

The hotel is situated very conveniently - close to transport to access other areas of town but plenty of charm and interest locally. Our room was quiet, comfortable and had everything we required for a short break. Staff were welcoming and helpful, informing us on check-in of a double booking in my name. This occurred after a third party booking did not provide confirmation. Bermond's Locke were very accomodating about this, offering to speak with anyone on my behalf to resolve the matter.

The property is beautiful, the bed was super comfortable but our room faced an alleyway so it was very noisy with constant foot traffic and staff chatter while taking breaks. We were usually up and out so it wasn’t too big a deal but our room faced an office building so we had to keep our curtains closed while in the room. They have a really cute café downstairs with delicious breakfast pastries their coffee was wonderful but it closed too early. We had to go to the café in the hotel next door for night caps or just something light to eat, which was a bit of a turn off. Staff was friendly and helpful but if I go back to London I won’t stay there again. It was out of the way, which we knew going in but we didn’t consider the inconvenience when getting in late (9pm) and wanting a snack or even some hot chocolate. So, it was a nice stay but wouldn’t return.

The plant lobby with cool decor that smelled so nice when you walked in the door! The super friendly and helpful staff, having a human at the front desk 24/7. The coffee shop in the lobby to get an awesome cappuccino. Kitchenette in the room and washing machine, loved that. Goid sized, high quality refrigerator In the room (although no freezer compartment ). There is a dishwasher though ours didn’t work, but the sink and sponge and dish soap made doing dishes easy. Aircon worked great, essential for us in August. Bus comes right outside the door. There’s a Sainsbury local little grocery store a five minute walk after turning right out of the lobby. A wonderful Turkish restaurant in the courtyard next to Sainsburys. Train station is a 10 minute walk. Two parks within two minute walk to either side. We walked to tour Tower of London. Overall a delightful place, highly recommended. Special shoutout to Zach and Stanley in reception for helpfulness

This hotel was a great headquarters for our visit to London. Coffee shop and bakery in the lobby, grocery across the street, restaurant next door, buses right outside the door and walkable to The Wool Pack and other pubs and Tower Bridge.

This hotel was great. Clean, comfortable and the location was great. The staff was incredible. We stayed here for 10 days so the staff got to know us and we would chat with them daily. If we had to make a minor complaint it would be the location of our room. We were on the ground floor behind the kitchen of the restaurant so we could smell the food cooking. This room location also had a terrace that opened into a courtyard which we loved. So it was worth while. We also ate at the restaurant one night it was convenient and delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location close to a bus stop and walking distance to the tube and national rail to get anywhere within the city. The property itself was very clean and quiet. The set up of the room made it feel spacious enough, and had a small kitchenette area that was nice. Nice staff - responsive and helpful. Really enjoyed my stay here - highly recommend!

Excellent location. Good staff quick check in. And really nice room. Good Mexican food and cocktails downstairs as well as a good coffee from the onsite barista. Only negative was the foisty smell in the bathroom.

Nice location. Nice area. Nice space and good facilities in room. Only complain was dirty pans and crockery shoved in the cupboard by previous guests - we had intention of cooking in the room but that was a bit yak! Nice staff. Nice coffee bar. 5 mins from pond bridge and lots a nice cafes and bars on the doors step.
