Fran Cove Motel

Staff was very nice and respectful, parking was a little tight a couple days but to be expected with music festival. Water pressure and temperature of water in shower was amazing! Would definitely recommend as a place to stay and if I return would check in availability here first.

Ali was attentive, courteous, he went above and beyond for us. Room was clean and cozy. Pool water was clean, cool and refreshing. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

They should have microwave in room not outside where you have to share with others

Just out of town past the hustle and bustle. Quiet area, outside pool and spacious rooms. Great hopping on 87 and avoiding the town.

Standard old style motel, with pool, clean and with good staff.

Room was not extravagant, however, simple and clean, as expected for this rate. Staff was friendly and responsive to any questions and service requests. Pool was clean and clear. Towels, however showed wear, make up stains, thread bare on the first sets we had. A request for more showed thick, newer towels. For a simple get away, this worked well. Close to downtown was a perk for sure!

It is very quiet.Pool is well maintained and we had it basically to ourselves.Staff is accommodating and friendly.i will stay there again very reasonably priced for what you get an easy simple hassle free stay.If I had to say anything I didn't like it's that the beds arevckesn but not soft kind of hard.Oveish there was a microwave but other than that great price and stay.i will always use this motel.

No microwave in room. There is a Microwave in a shared area but is not maintained (disgusting smell, spilled food,etc ). The room has a window ac which was not on when we arrived therefore the room smelled moldy. In addition there is too much dust in windows, behind the furniture. There was only one small soap bar/mini shampoo for 3 people. I asked the manager and was given another mini shampoo. Toilet seat was too small for the toilet. I feel the room condition should have been in better shape for the high price paid $152/night

Rooms were ok for just a few days could use updating, rugs were old, furniture broken the loveseat was broken legs, coffee pot very short cord had to make sure it didn’t fall off by fridge. Arrived and window was open and AC was in room was nice cold and unable to out anything down as it was all moist. Someone was sitting outside our window which was creepy and smoking heard their conversation they should have moved to their chairs by their room. Microwave was bey inconvenient outside at end of building by the time you heated your food it was cold again. Need them in the rooms like other hotels. Tv was hard to turn on should have been placed on wall beds need to be a bit softer AC and heaters need updated what we did like was the convenience of the trolley ride outside our room takes you to downtown lake George no worries about finding parking. Will stay again in future. Thanks again

The motel was very clean but nothing fancy. It was a room for the night. Nothing I would want to stay long term at.

I saw dead flies and dead Roaches on the floor. One of the worst places i have ever stayed

You get what you pay for. The motel seems nice enough. But I would definitely not walk barefoot on the carpet, they need a deep clean. When a looked under the bed, to see that there was nothing there that we might forgotten, there were 2 water bottles and a bunch of pretzels, and a lot of dust. It hasmt bee n vacuumed in a vary long while. The rest of the room itself was quite old but. The bed was clean and that's what really matters.The rest was OK, it's needs to get renovated, I think it dates back to the fifties.

Room was outdated, TV was about 24 inches, sitting chairs very uncomfortable. There was a coffee machine, some coffee packets, but no cups or glasses. In bathroom, the baseboard heater was all rusted, bathtub was stained.

Unfortunately we were in the older part of the motel. The rooms are in need of a an upgrade espically the bathroom. It was clean though. but next day all she did was make the bed I had to ask for clean towels and coffee to be replaced . did not clean bathroom. Also Had a disrepiceny on price already paid.

Our stay for the most part was enjoyable. The room although somewhat dated was clean and the bed very comfortable. My wife and I have mobility issues so we requested a room on the ground level and a king size bed. Though our request was granted you couldn't turn off the TV or adjust the volume using the remote control. And, though we didn't need many services it would have been nice had they come in and made the bed and given us an exchange of fresh towels which we had to ask for. In addition on our first night we had some less than desirable neighbors that felt the need to slam doors and run back and forth in front of our room until around 2am preventing us from getting much sleep. We were pleasantly surprised to find that they were thankfully only there for the night. All in all not a horrible experience and we would stay here again as we have in the past. Definitely worth the money if you're looking for a decent place to stay if you're trying to stay within a budget.

Very nice and helpful man at the front desk when checking in and out. The room was exactly like the pictures online. It was reasonably priced, easy to find and close to the main strip in Lake George. The room was a bit outdated. But it was very clean and I’m very OCD and germophobic. Bathroom was clean. Towels/washcloths were kind of small and old, but clean. AC was nice and cold and refrigerator worked well. A few things that could have been better. The first morning we were woken up about 8:00 am by housekeeping to see if we’d need any services that day. I went with my adult daughter and we had a long drive and did a lot of walking the day before. Then stayed up late talking. So 8:00 am on vacation was a bit early to be woken up. Also the door was not very secure. It only locked on the inside with the deadbolt. But when we left could only lock by pushing the door handle button in and turning it. There was a gap in the door so the light shone through and could very easily have been kicked in. Also the curtains in the bathroom had a hard time staying closed together and were see through so made using the bathroom a bit uncomfortable. But otherwise I would definitely recommend and would stay again should we visit that area :)

I ran out of hot water during my shower time

We asked to be moved further from the road and while there were free rooms, our request was rejected. Room is dark, no outlets, only extension cords stapled to rhe walls. Small, stained old towels. Stained toilet. No screen in bathroom window. Mailfunctioning a/c. Pathetic pillows. Cheap for a reason.

If you don't mind leaving a motel room where your door isn't actually locked from the outside, then this is the place to stay. Room 37 with the King Size bed did not lock from the outside. We could push the door open without using the key. From the inside, there is a bolt and a cord for the door knob. So while inside, secure, when not physically there, it's not... so I wouldn't leave anything valuable there. We found out that the toilet area must have been put in where a closet must have originally been.. wiping proved difficult for out medium statures. No breakfast is included, which we knew. I don't know how old the coffee was for the coffee maker inside. The soap bars were preopened and maybe wintered in this room as they were wet when pulled out of the package. The fridge worked well. The heat worked and the ac worked. Bed a little stiff, but doable. overall clean and just a basic place to stay. The outlets need replacing as some are cracked and really didn't hold the charging cords well. Would I stay here again. possibly ... hubby says no.

Everything was fine. Only thing was wrong. It wasn't enough light in the room. Everything else was beautiful

Stayed on a busy holiday weekend with limited availability. The bathroom window was broken and would not lock so we didn’t sleep well thinking someone might break in, and the plumbing was bad and the toilet clogged after one use. The manager doesn’t stay on the ground, so it would take an hour for a plumber to fix it. We left right away. The tv / WiFi in room also didn’t work. On the bright side, the heat works.

Great location for the town. It’s a place to sleep but if you’re spending a lot of time at the hotel, I recommend somewhere else.

Reasonably priced motel for a resort area. Beds are ok. Quiet. Easy access to lake George. Owner could pay attention to small details: flowers in empty flower containers, unplanted flower beds. Not a criticism, just an observation

Really great option that is close to downtown Lake George (about one mile). When I booked it was priced well below those in town. It’s an older property from an older era, but so are many others around the area. I feel these types of properties actually elevate the charm of such a historic location (think French-Indian Wars). Just remember the price point will be revealed in the clientele. Nonetheless we felt safe and the management keeps the property clean.

Le transport vers le centre-ville était assuré par une navette (trolley bus) qui passait aux 30-45 minutes au prix de 1$. C'était très apprécié vu la difficulté de trouver des stationnements en ville et leur prix.

For the money I thought it was excellent value. Close to where I wanted to be and nice and quiet. Would stay again

Perfect for what we needed for our Great Escape trip. We stayed 2 nights. Room was clean. Location was great, we were minutes away from the strip and the Great Escape. Parking is a little awkward, but it worked. Overall pleased with our stay. We definitely would stay again.

Le prix était correct pour ce qu’il avait. Les chambres sont correctes, mais nécessite de finir les travaux commencés. Là qualité de la literie laisse à désirer, oreiller très mince et couvertures insuffisantes. C’est très bruyant par la route à proximité et le manque d’isolation. Nous pouvions suivre les conversations des voisins. L’option de prendre un bain n’était pas possible, alors pour des familles avec des jeunes enfants comme c’est un peu désagréable. Très loin des attraits. Dans la publicité, il indiquait un parc ce qui n’était pas le cas. Il y a possibilité de livraison de repas à la chambre ou la nourriture est bonne et a bon prix. Le ménage est fait à tous les jours ce qui étaient appréciable surtout pour vider les poubelles.
