I would stay here again. It was a nice location and close to places were were going. We could walk to nearly everything. Parking was a couple of blocks away and somewhat pricy but considering it is Chicago and parking is at a premium we managed fine. The breakfast was good and those serving it kept up with the demand easily. They even came around and took our plates from us when we were finished. I have never had a hotel where they did that. The second elevator was not working during our stay. They opened up the service elevator to the patrons use though. It helped alleviate some of the wait time during breakfast and checkout times. The room was well maintained and clean. My only complaint is that is was impossible to regulate a comfortable temperature in the room. At 68 it was freezing and the placement of the vent was such that it blew right on the bed so the first night we froze. If the temperature was set to 69 it blew HOT air and it was terribly uncomfortable. There was no between. We ended up turning it off. Overall the plus outweighs the minus and it was a great place to stay.

When we arrived to check in it was 90 degrees and the stifling hot in the lonby. The hotel HVAC was broken since the previous night and no one had informed us sonwe were completely unprepared. We were also told there was no estimate of when the ac would be repaired. We had to wait for over 2 hours in the unpleasant heat and humidity while the staff tried to make arrangements to pit us up at another property in the area. In the end things worked out but I don’t think we’ll ecer book this hotel again aftet this experience.

Overall nice and clean hotel with friendly staff. Only thing parking is 2 blocks away for $60 day or Valet on the premises for $75 day which I researched ahead of time so I was aware but others may not.

Unfortunately, I encountered some issues during my stay. Firstly, the air conditioning was not functioning on both days of my stay. This was during summer time, the room and the whole building remained uncomfortably warm. Additionally, I noticed that my room was not cleaned after the first night. The bed was not made, and the bathroom was not refreshed. This oversight was disappointing and did not meet the standards of cleanliness and service I expect from a hotel. I trust that these issues can be reviewed and addressed to improve the experience for future guests.

Hotel itself was nice and good price for downtown. Wish i would have known that the self park garage was a couple blocks away. I wouldnt have stayed there for this reason, but I imagine thats a common experience for downtown hotels. I ended up just paying extra for valet, which i would never otherwise do. Otherwise the stay was nice, bed was comfy, room was clean. They even give you earplugs if you dont sleep well with downtown city noises. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall 3 stars solely because of the parking situation. Maybe my misunderstanding...oh well!

Elevator was down. Long wait. Able to use staff elevator which was clearly inconvenient for them. Key cards stopped working before check out time. Very frustrating to come back from breakfast to find ourselves locked out of our room. Back standing in line at the single elevator. Staff very friendly! Great location.

The hotel was very clean and tidy, and it was located in a good location as it was within walking distance to River Walk, and the Mag Mile. Very vibrant restaurant scene. Housekeeping services were good. The king-sized room was a bit small for two adults and one child (there was no pull out couch). No safe or microwave. My wife enjoyed using the gym. Paid parking is in another building one street south of the hotel, and you can either pay for self park or for valet, which is a little more expensive, but it's not far of a walk if you choose self pay. Breakfast was a little lacking in terms of variety compared to other three star hotels we've been to, but Javier and Fanny helped to make up for the shortcomings as they cheerfully greeted us each morning, and they both made us feel welcomed by asking how we were doing, getting to know us a bit, and provided some helpful tips as to what to do in the city. I did not get his name, but there was a young man with very long, dark hair, and a moustache who works at the front desk (generally in the evenings) who provided great customer service, and genuinely seemed to care about the comfort of his guests. Although other front desk staff were nice, he took extra care to ensure our needs were met, took time to answer questions.

This hotel is in a great location, but it’s very dated. It was not very clean. The hotel has 19 stories, and their breakfast area only allows for less than 100 people. Always crowded and never anywhere to sit.

Okay for the most part the room was great except for no microwave in the room, hardly any outlets in the room! In this day and age people have phones and gadgets! The tv was on the small side with limited channels and a guide. A lot of times we would go into the bathroom it would have some kind of sewer smell in it. The complementary breakfast left a lot to be desired for who doesn’t have a waffle maker these days. I get parking is limited in big cities but 74 dollars a night?

I came to stay with my daughters for a weekend in Chicago. We came to stay at the Fairfield on Friday night, and were very pleased with our room, as it was clean and very comfortable and had an excellent view. However, after we got home from seeing a theater production downtown, I came back into the room and took off my shoes. I felt something stuck to the bottom of my sock as I walked across the room, and found that it was a clump of marijuana that somehow had not gotten picked up off of the hotel room floor. it smelled terrible and was an unfortunate thing to have to go through with my two daughters. I wish the room did not have that experience, because everything else about the hotel was great.

Staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good and the coffee was tasty. Room was comfy but it overlooked the alleyway which was super loud with bottles being emptied into bottle bins and the noise of generators. I think the windows are super thin. Had a great experience otherwise but had to sleep with earplugs in!

This stay was amazing. The hotel staff was extra friendly and helpful. Very clean room. They had free breakfast every day. Good location to walk within 15 mins to most places or a short Lyft. There's no microwave in the room. They have a microwave in the lobby to use. I would definitely stay here again.

Had a great stay while I spent the week in Chicago with my college roomates. Everything was amazing! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because the pullout couch left something to be desired. We booked a room with a king bed and a full/queen pullout couch (for 3 adults total). I understand it is a pullout couch, so it wasn't going to be as nice as a regular bed, but I definitely wish I spent the extra $50 (for a 3 night stay) for a 2 double/queen bed room.

The breakfast was great. The location was perfect for walking to many different activities. The beds were very comfortable and rooms very roomy. We had an excellent stay and this will be our go to hotel when we are in Chicago.

The hotel location was perfect for the event we were in town for. Easy access, walking distace to restaurants, clubs, shopping and the River walk area. The staff were all so kind and very good at their jobs. The crew that work in the breakfast area are sensational. They sre very welcoming and attentive to everything going on there. It can get really busy sometimes, and they are so helpful. They deserve a lot of credit for making our stay even better. Thanks guys!

The service we received from India at the front desk was exceptional! She checked my party of 5 in with ease and assured we got the accommodations we needed. All our questions were answered, and she was always pleasant to talk to. Other comments: our hotel room was right across the fire station so it can get a little noisy (we didn’t mind as we were on the 16th floor but just a heads up). We assumed the self-parking ramp would be on site but it is actually 2 blocks away, which was still very reasonable. By the way, this is the first hotel review I’ve ever left, and it’s all because of India’s delightful personality!!! Would totally stay here again next time I’m in Chicago.

It was a great stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and changed slightly day to day. Kitchen staff was the best I have ever experienced in my travels. Despite the amount of people trying to grab a breakfast, staff was doing an awesome job keeping up and making sure there was no shortage of anything. We also had a small incident related to guests in the room next to ours, and this was handled in professional manner and to our satisfaction. Thank you Jose. We will most likely stay again at this hotel the next time we are in Chicago.

We absolutely loved our stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites in Chicago. All front office staff we dealt with were absolutely incredible, so nice and helpful. The breakfast lounge was always well organized and clean but the staff Javier, Jose, Tomas and Fanny completely outdid themselves by the food and friendliness. The rooms were very nice and clean. All staff we came across were very friendly. We’ll definitely come back to this hotel again. 10/10 for sure

We received the best service at this hotel! Everyone from front desk staff to valet to staff in the breakfast area was amazing - friendly and helpful. There’s a busy firehouse across the street. It didn’t bother us but may bother some. The hotel and staff made up for it. Well done, Fairfield Inn!

Spotless room, comfortable bed. The highlight for me was breakfast: creamy oatmeal with many options for toppings (sliced almonds, granola, raisins, and my favorites: tiny chocolate chips and blueberry compote). Also yummy scrambled eggs which I had with salsa. The breakfast crew was welcoming and ever cheerful. Loved it!

Great location with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. It is a noisy area with a fire station right across the street. The room was comfortable enough, but showed signs of wear (the desk chair was all cracked, the carpeting had a bare spot, etc.) The breakfast was ok—but only 2 hot items—sugared waffles and sausage patties. Overall, it was a good stay for a quick overnight family trip.
