Beautiful property with spacious rooms and great onsen. Superb location close to subway station and only 1 stop from Kyoto JR station. The 2pm checkout was great and although I arrived prior to 5pm check in, I could store my baggage easily and get exploring. The bath and sauna rotate daily between men and woman eg Women have sauna and men have spa. Next day this swaps so men have sun and women have the spa! When staying multiple nights you get to experience both! There are many restaurant close by from McDonalds to Pizza to Ramen. Great location 👍

nice clean hotel, good location. a bit too automatic for my taste. windows do not open, the spa and sauna rotate daily between male/females (no windows/view, down in basement), only 2 laundry machines for such a large hotel. breakfast is small, more Western Style vs Japanese.

Unser Zimmer war geräumig, sauber und wie auf den Bildern. Das Frühstück bestand aus einem Buffet soweit 4 verschiedenen Gerichten die bestellt werden konnten. Das Frühstück war leider immer das selbe aber wir waren froh, dass wir Salat essen konnten, da es in Japan nur sehr wenig Gemüse zu den Gerichten gibt. Der Onsen war relativ voll, weshalb ich ihn nicht genutzt habe. Die Sauna habe ich ebenfalls nicht ausprobiert. Jeden Tag wechseln Sauna und Onsen zwischen Männer und Frauen, sodass nicht beides gleichzeitig am gleichen Tag genutzt werden kann. Die Lage vom Hotel war gut, da es nicht weit vom Hauptbahnhof, U-Bahn und Bussen entfernt war. Gion lässt sich ebenfals fußläufig erreichen. Ich würde das Hotel wieder buchen.

Beautiful hotel with unique, modern rooms and a great staff. Our favorite of our two-week stay by far. Very foreigner friendly and one of the more upscale hotels we stayed at. Rooms are gorgeous and feel very private. Great onsen, although worth noting it switches genders every day (so women can access one day, men the next). The "off" gender gets access to the sauna, which I did not try. Location is good, in the middle of everything with great transit options, but not in a very touristy area and not too many attractions directly walkable. Subway access is easy (<5 blocks either direction) but the stations in Kyoto can be quite confusing to navigate, so plan your routes on google maps before you leave the hotel.

Amazing place in Kyoto, close to everything and with an onsen/sauna! Though the men’s women’s side changes daily (because they only have one sauna and one onsen) you can still be sure to enjoy something every day after a long day out. The citrus aromatherapy sauna was a total treat. The hotel is conveniently located and modern and clean with beautiful views. Highly highly recommend. Even though the check in time is 5pm, you can use the self-luggage cloakroom AND check out is a luxurious 2pm!

Best stay in Japan!! They have sauna and public bath every night, room was very spacious. Downside is every 2-3 days cleaning but we were able to get new towels and gowns/pajamas from the front desk. Laundry is available but many people use it so you will need to wait in line a bit. Otherwise, the waterfall shower was beautiful and bed was comfortable and they even provided us with mineral water. There were many affordable and delicious restaurants nearby!!

The hotel offers sauna and bath tub, which are great, although I did not use. However, the room is not clean, there are dust everywhere, on tv, corner of the table, and carpet. You can see the dust flying with the lights on. Not pleasant. I don’t recommend this place if you care about the cleanness. Other than the cleanness, no complaint. Close to public transit. Scooter and bike rental available just outside the hotel.

Gute Lage und großes Zimmer. Sauberkeit war leider entgegen der anderen Hotels auf unserer Reise nicht ganz so makellos. Onsen nur abwechselnd mit Sauna alle zwei Tage nutzbar. Das war schade. Das Frühstück ist ausbaufähig und für den Preis viel zu wenig Auswahl. Kein Brot, kein Ei. Frühstück besteht aus einem wählbaren Gericht und Salatbar. Wir waren froh, dass wir nur einmal dort gefrühstückt haben. Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr nett und aufmerksam und konnten auch überwiegend gut englisch sprechen. Aufgrund der Lage und der Größe des Zimmers trotz der kleinen Mängel ein gutes Hotel. Zimmer etwas hellhörig zum Flur hin.

The hotel is generally good. The room is a bit small as a 4 star hotel. The black colour themed bathroom seems cool, but it's too dark for a bathroom. It would be more comfortable if it's brighter.

Very clean , large rooms, comfortable beds, the ambience feels like high end hotel. Even restaurant in the hotel had good western food which was much needed after getting tired of eating Japanese food. You get one free drink also every night from that restaurant. Train station is 2 min walk which connects to Kyoto station so you can access all tourist attraction easily. Only Disadvantage: light is room too little, room is dark, can’t see yourself in mirror while getting ready. But I guess that’s the ambience they are trying to create. I would stay here again

It would be nice if the staff can be more attentive with the customers. The check in was a bit complicated and long as it is self service. The room was very spacious and it had many outlets and USB ports to plug in devices. The amenities were very nice.

Not 4 Stars! The hotel lacks a traditional lobby, offering only two benches and allocating the rest of the space to a restaurant. The face recognition scanner and the overall design of the place felt very futuristic and comfortable. For the price, I think it's a steal compared to many other hotels I've been to. Only downside is that I couldn't see the outside from my window and most good restaurants are 20 minutes away on foot. But solid location in the center of Kyoto, great service, restaurant was good, and its a few minutes from Gojo Station. If I ever come to Kyoto again, I'll most likey stay here again!

One of the best hotels I ever have stayed. The Spa was amazing amd it is open from 5pm until 1 am so perfect after you walked 20k steps. The food is amazing had the best pasta there and breakfast was fresh and good. The staff is friendly and helpful. They also have suitscase tranaport.

Stayed for four nights. We reserved two rooms. The rooms are spacious and clean. Excellent shower. The breakfast is good. Also is the happy hour. Subway and bus stations near by. The only con on our side was that there are only two washing machines. Be ready to doing laundry at strange hours. All in all very good Experience.

Too Western: only a shower and no furo-type tub. The breakfast and dinner were good but there was very little Japanese food. The lounge in the lobby was comfortable but it felt like a Western hotel. The lounge even had a dress code forbidding wearing hotel slippers. The evening music was terrible, just a repetitive pounding of electronic percussion.

It's Nice Hotel, But Breakfast Could Be Better. The room was clean and comfortable, and overall it’s a nice place to stay. However, I was disappointed with the breakfast. It was advertised as a buffet, but you’re only allowed to order one item per person, which feels misleading. On top of that, it’s quite expensive for what you get. Other than that, the experience was positive.
