I enjoyed my stay here at the Aloft. This hotel is right in the middle of where everything is, plenty of food places, bars, activities, stores. It was so convenient. Will definitely stay here again. My only downfall was, there is no Swimming pool.

Arrived late evening for our 3 night stay, only to find out the air conditioner in the hotel quit working in the afternoon and a our reservation had been canceled. Nobody had contacted us to let us know our reservation has been canceled. This was a major shock and caused great stress. Luckily, they were able to rebook us a room. Granted, the hotel was pretty warm until the air conditioner started working again and caught up with the demand. Parking is $69 a day. Yes, $69 per day. Highway robbery. The staff was very friendly, the rooms well-appointed and comfortable. The hotel was within walking distance of everything in the clubby, trendy River North area. Short walk to the Grand redline station as well. Would I stay here again? Probably not, due to the AC mixup and parking cost. I think we'll try somewhere else just to compare and contrast. Not a bad experience at Aloft but certainly not great, either.

Great hotel in great location on N Clark St in Chicago. There was a restaurant in the hotel but there were great places to eat nearby as well. Small refrigerator was present. Room had great decor. Gym had free weights and a machine as well as treadmills, bicycle machine, ellipticals. Easy to access the 'EL'

I didn't like that my room wasn't clean when i made it up to the room, but I called for housekeeping, and they came. Then someone kept jiggling my door handle, me not knowing what's going on, i called downstairs and they said oh yea they are checking the locks on the doors, could have given us a heads up. Sounds like someone was trying to come in.

The property is conveniently located near numerous restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly. However, the room was very dusty!!! There was pet dander all over the towels, blankets, and floor. Every day, I bought Claritin from the front desk. I inquired about getting another room because of this, and was told there were none available that were similar to the one I was currently in. I was told they would send housekeeping to my room, but they never arrived. I believe that if hotels allow pets, they must ensure that the room is thoroughly cleaned before the next guest arrives. I was unable to sleep comfortably throughout my stay due to severe allergy attacks. If you have allergies to pets, dust, etc. PLEASE FIND OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS.

Excellent location! Walkable to all the major attractions and subway. Lots of restaurants, stores and grocery stores in the area. Hotel room was very clean and the staff were friendly and professional.

Nothing too fancy but clean, nice facilities, everything in good condition and well maintained. The restaurant is very good! Couple small things: at our initial check in they seemed understaffed, but by checkout they had more than one staff member and also found a random water bottle under the bed that cleaning missed. Housekeeping never came by as far as I could tell in our three night stay. It’s reasonably quiet considering you are surrounded by a bustling city. You will hear sirens and construction if nearby, but wasn’t kept awake. View was great. Desk staff very helpful! The room lighting was really nice, lots of options to adjust brightness even individually over the beds. Overall very happy with our stay. For the price, it’s what I expected.

The beds are comfortable. Fantastic restaurants easy to walk to and gyms. There was a smear of some kind of food on the desk in the room. The hallways are dark, the rooms are like caves. I don’t know if there was a college kid convention or if this hotel really is supposed to cater to a much younger generation.

Got an email stating they were oversold for the night and it was our responsibility to call them to confirm our stay. Hotel room didn’t have a working fridge. Sound proofing poor with outside sirens and car noises coming though. Neighbors partied till 5am with loud chatting and barking dogs.

Check in was a disaster. There was a problem with my first payment type (my error), which caused something to happen with the system and no payment method was being accepted. Person didn’t try to figure out if the problem was at the terminal and left it up to me. Called my CC companies and the transaction had not been requested. Went back to the desk and everything worked. No apology, no accountability. Very disappointed.

I travel often and meet lots of hospitality staff but I must say the service received by the team here was stellar!! One team member in particular Thomas Chato was outstanding. He was attentive, informed, had many great suggestions and was overall super pleasant. His warm welcome was my very first impression of this hotel and it created a feeling of “making the right choice” as there are many hotel options in the area. Thomas’ attention to detail and strong listening skills helped us get to all the places we wanted to go and even assisted us with exploring new places I had never been to before in Chicago. He was super knowledgeable and solution oriented as many of the times hotel staff members lead with the “no’s” and not the “yes we can do that for you” Thomas Chato thank you for making this Chicago visit one to remember!!

Exceptional Stay at Aloft Chicago Downtown River North From the moment we arrived, our experience at Aloft Chicago Downtown River North was outstanding. Despite our late check-in around 8 or 9 PM, the staff greeted us warmly, and everything was prepared in advance, making the process seamless. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered a stunning city view from the 12th floor. The bed and pillows were incredibly soft and comfortable, providing the perfect rest after a day of exploring Chicago. We enjoyed breakfast at Beatrix, the hotel's attached restaurant, and it was delightful. I had the lemon pancakes, while my husband opted for the ham and cheese croissant sandwich—both were delicious and satisfying. On evenings when we were too tired to dine out, ordering Uber Eats to the hotel was convenient and hassle-free. The hotel's location is ideal, situated in the vibrant River North area, close to numerous dining options and attractions. While the TV in our room was a bit glitchy, it didn't detract from our overall experience, as we weren't there to watch television. Additionally, the room featured a functional desk space, which was perfect for catching up on some work. Overall, our stay at Aloft Chicago Downtown River North was exceptional, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. We will definitely be staying again and shout out to Thomas and team.

I called a week prior to my arrival to attempt to get early checkin or at least be placed on a waiting list. They told me to call the morning of, which I did. I called a 3 different times (instructed by the staff) to ask if there are any available rooms for early checkin and they finally told me they did not have any available rooms. I rather they said no there are no rooms during the first call instead of giving me false hope for possibly getting a room. So my partner and I were without a place to stay for over 8 hours. We were exhausted and very disappointed in how they handled our situation. Once we arrived, only one elevator worked. Just poor customer service in general.

I loved the staff! At check in and check out, they were really helpful. It’s super convenient and quick walk from CVS, Magnificent Mile and lots of restaurants. It’s also a 10 minute walk from the blue line which takes you right to the airport

I showed up to check in and they didn’t have a room available, was sent over to the Hyatt. Also this area is EXTREMELY loud until the early morning hours. Partying, sirens, loud music… if you want a room where you will get no sleep..this is your place

The restaurant on st Patrick’s day had zero Guinness no name brand spirits and the young man who was the waiter was amazing despite having to find solutions. National brands are great fan favorites not sure cucumber bark craft beer is what people come to Chicago for. Lastly asked for room to be serviced and didn’t happen I know it was busy but at least they could have let us know some how not a big fan of $700 for 2 nights without having some amenities

Aloft was a great hotel for a visit to Chicago: beautiful facilities and an extremely helpful staff. Our bathroom door was challenging to fully close so I told the front desk staff about the issue and they had it fixed before we came back a few hours later. Beatrix (the restaurant) had awesome food and drinks and we enjoyed all meals that we had there. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent area, everything within walking distance very clean staff very courteous and helpful. The only con is the area to eat inside the hotel where not hotel customer friendly since its independent from the hotel and you have to go outside and get through their doors and make the line which is for everyone i think they should prioritize hotel customers. Everything else was awesome

Great property and great location. Room was very cozy, clean , comfortable bed and nice view. Hotel has a great restaurant with a cute patio. Located on a very live street with lots of options for dinning and entertainment. Will return for sure.
