The staff was great with the conditions that were going on. The first day the air conditioner went out from 2:00 till around 8:pm. The second day the air conditioning and the power was out from sometime after 10 PM till 10 AM when we checked out. No elevator, no lights in the bathroom. They really do need to have some sort of back up at least for the lights and possibly electric fans in the rooms if that continues to happen.

There is a nightclub adjacent to the hotel and the noise from the DJ from 10p until after 2a made it impossible to sleep. The hotel also refused to acknowledge my Diamond Hilton status at checkout, no $15 food comp per person per day given.

The hotel is very nice and clean and it's in good location, close to everything. The stuff deserves 5 stars for sure, very welcoming and accommodating. Italian restaurant was excellent. The only thing we didn't like was that our window was covered completely with this fake bush like cover. It felt like we didn't have window at all. Other than that room was clean, bad was comfortable and roof top pool was amazing. They do charge parking fee $45 a day and resort fee $40 a day on top of what you pay for room, but we were aware of it when we booked it so that wasn't an issue. Overall very good hotel.

Extremely disappointed with the entirety of the stay. We arrived and the front desk weren’t welcoming and barely acknowledged us while checking us in. Thrust a card machine in front of us without explaining why (security deposit it turns out) and then were generally exceptionally slow, uninterested and in my opinion that’s rude. The rooftop pool, which was one of the reasons we booked, was closed and we weren’t told in advance or on arrival, much to my dismay when I went up to enjoy it. The gym has a MAX capacity of 2 people(!) and the peloton bike which was a big advertising point in photos didn’t work. We were woken up on both mornings at 6am by alarms in rooms that weren’t occupied, while you could hear the ice machine and doors slamming on all floors. All in all and given the cost, this is probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in for a long time

Great location, easy access to beach and great that your stay comes with complimentary beach chairs and towels. Close to shops and plenty of restaurants. Staff is friendly and hotel provides daily housekeeping. The pool is a great option but the water was cold this did not spent too much time there. However overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Gale.

Although we had to change rooms twice, due to cleaning and air conditioning, they addressed the issues quickly and our final room was actually larger. The use of the beach facilities at the Sagmore were a great addition.

Great location but the noise from the nightclub permeated upwards until 3am resulting in the worst night sleep I have had in a long time. The hotel obviously takes more pride in having a popular nightclub than providing for a restful stay. If you stay here be sure you get a room away from 17th St. and as high as possible

The property was poorly cleaned everyday . They gave us no towels no wash cloths had to continuously ask for towels wash cloths rooms to be cleaned etc it took a while to receive too towels like 30 min I would not recommend this property

If you are looking to party till 4am then this is place for you. Loud techno music coming from their "lounge" till 4 am. Despite my complaint.. TV basic channels are not showing . The "engineer" came twice and couldn't solve the issue. * Breakfast: poor choices. Never buy breakfast there, its a kid format breakfast, no cheese, can't make "boiled" eggs so your only choice is fried or poached. No milk with the coffee, I had to supply them for the orange juice. Some of the staff are friendly though. Towels smelled grilled meat one day.

Great property in walking distance to many restaurants, shops and the beach and boardwalk. Good on-site restaurant. Nice roof top pool and sun terrace. King bedroom with your own private terrace was amazing. Would definitely stay again.

Located in an excellent district offering walking distance to many tourist attractions, restaurants and shopping. The room was tight with very little storage. I had to leave most of my clothing in packing cubes sitting on the window ledge.

Stay away! The room was very badly built and maintained: the curtain couldn’t close so we had the street lamp straight in our faces when trying to sleep, bathroom door didn’t fully slide, shower in the open in front of the entry door, mini fridge inaccessible and making noise and above all loud techno music from a club close by resonating in the whole room from 10.00pm to 2.30 am! We only slept out of exhaustion

I booked a signature room with 1 queen bed for two nights. I paid over $700 for that. However the first night we were assigned to a small room by the elevator. I couldn’t get sleep because of the noise from the AC outside my room. The room is totally different from what the picture showed on their website. No desk, no chair….The 2nd night we were moved to an even smaller room with a full bed. I was told this is the only quiet room available. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed. Be aware, Not worth the money!

The rooms were quite small but the real problem is there was no closet! There was a small dedicated space of about 20 inches above the mini bar and safe with some hangers and a rod but not one piece of clothing could be hung in that space. It is as if they renovated the room and forgot to put in a closet or a space to hang clothes properly.

Due to flight delays, we arrived at 5:00 am on 05/13. We notified the hotel twice in advance of when we were arriving. 05/12 was paid for so we could get in our room upon arrival. We ran the door bell several times and waited for 5+ minutes outside only to gain access because others were leaving. Then, when inside, the man on duty stayed seated, told us we couldn’t check in till the afternoon. Had to persuade him to look in the computer to confirm our reservation and check us in. Simply put, he was very lazy and unfriendly. If you have a doorbell and someone rings it, why is it not priority to answer. Why would he just sit there and not answer the door? There were homeless people relieving themselves while we waited. Two women, outside alone has the potential to be dangerous. Please speak with him and confirm expectations to answer the door. Especially when clients notify personnel twice at what time they are arriving and the room is already paid for in advance. Appreciate your time!

The Gale Curio will go down as one of our more pleasant stays; the staff was friendly and very helpful. The beach is only steps away and the surrounding area has wonderful shopping and restaurants.

This would have been 5 stars were it not for one major element, being the check in experience (and resulting room location). Upon check in, I specifically asked the concierge if my room was near an elevator because I am a very light sleeper. She said no, but then that evening, my 2nd Floor room echoed with every single solitary note of the loud dance music playing downstairs (not sure if restaurant or club), and it was also a room facing Collins which obviously added to the noise. It would have been a reasonable deduction for her to make that if I was worried about elevator noise, then certainly the music would be an issue and could have placed me even just one floor higher and/or not facing the main drag. Also, I had to ask about beach access and the beach club partnership as opposed to that major amenity being proactively explained to me up front. Otherwise the rooftop pool was a fabulous place to relax and liked the ability to order food/drink from downstairs, and the room while very small was modern and clean. However the attention to guest room preferences and amenity explanation was lacking.

This place is amazing! Front desk agents are beautiful people. Be sure to get your comp champagne.cookies, and beach chairs and umbrellas. This location is prime location and doesn’t get any better. Hotel was clean. Food was good downstairs and by the pool you order drinks through a phone. Pool was beautiful. I’ll be returning!!

The price paid was not commensurate with what we received. The website indicated that breakfast was included, but upon arrival, we were told otherwise (no breakfast). We opted to have breakfast the next day, and the bill was exorbitant for a breakfast that was bland and cold. In short, if I had to go back, I wouldn't choose it.
