Aspire Hotel and Suites

The area was perfect for all your Gettysburg experiences but the pool area did not look like it's pictures it was run down and also there were so many kids there that we couldn't even get into the pool the parents let the children run around like wild animals other guests I am sure had a hard time enjoying the experience going on

Very large room but pool lounge in another building pa skills games turned off friday could not use rest of the week end

The room was large and clean. The shower head/water pressure was not good at all. The pool area definitely needed repairs. There were chipped pieces of the floor, the rugs were ripped in multiple areas, etc. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly.

Elevators did not work most of our stay on the third floor.

The photos were deceiving. The pool area was under construction but still open, and completely unsafe for children. The bar restaurant and deli were not open and had their hours listed with a question mark. The arcade room had an unbearable smell. The TV in the room didn’t work. There were doors on the main level to the outside left completely open at night allowing anyone to walk in but also made it freezing cold. No one answers the phone when you call the front desk. We will never stay here again.

Pre check-in was easy online. Quick response to my questions. There's 2 hotels connected and had to walk a long ways to the other hotel to do laundry and then dryer didn't work well/dry clothes in one cycle, so had to bring clothes back to room and spread out all over room to dry.

Very beautiful room and comfortable and spacious. Phone didn’t work so we had to use our cell phone to call the front desk. We called the front desk to find out where the indoor pool was(even the cleaning help didn’t know). It was in the Eisenhower hotel which was next door. Very misleading when you book this hotel. It says they have an indoor pool and restaurant. It doesn’t! That was the reason I booked the hotel. We were not going to walk next door in our swim suits. Also our room was at the end of the building so I parked down there to take our stuff up to our room. The keypad would turn green, but wouldn’t unlock. When I told the lady at the front desk about our phone and the locking mechanism malfunction. She did write down about the locking mechanism. But shrugged about the phone. The breakfast was good and they had a nice layout. To top it all off I received a charge for $154.29 from them when I booked this through Hotel.com. Called the phone number associated with the charge. And it went directly to voicemail. Not impressed with the total stay. Would not stay here again because of no swimming pool.

We arrived and check in was super easy ! Only 3 other cars in the parking lot.. in the hallway it smelled really bad of old cigarette smoke.. room was the same and old cigarette smell even though it says non smoking. We had to walk all the way over to other building for breakfast as well as to use the pool which was also kinda run down.

The pictures shown on Expedia and on the hotels website are incredibly misleading. The arcade, half the machines don’t work and eat your money. The pool looks like something out of a Stephan king novel. Vending machines on our floor didn’t work. The bar was nice but again, pictures did NOT match what is actually there.

We are freauent travelers to Gettysburg and we always stay at The Aspire. Rooms are clean, shower is hot and the beds are really comfortable. They offer a nice breakfast and the staff is always friendly.

This is a very nice and modern hotel. The breakfast is good. I like the second sink outside the bathroom. The room was very large. For two double room there are not enough towels. The towels are extremely cheap. The sheets had some stains and rips.

Clean. Large rooms with room to stretch. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Only real complaint would be the in room coffee only gives you one cup of regular coffee.

Check in was good. The young man was very friendly. However my room was a different story. One of the beds comforter had some wierd crusty yellow stain. The bathroom was never cleaned. The glass shower doors are so full of hard water stains and soap scum you cannot see through them. The bathroom floor was filthy. There was dried up dirty shoe print stains. The toilet had unflushed urine. The sink on the outside of the bathroom was disgusting. It had dried up toothpaste, dried up coffee stains. Dried up soap stuck to the counter area also dried up lotion. As if some was there for some time. Also the floor are by the door was so sticky, your sole of the shoe will get stuck. It was very disappointed. I was in room 505.

Pool was NASTY. Website is VERY MISLEADING. Creepy vibe. Dirty. Other guests I spoke with said the same. Outdated.

This will be our fourth time at the aspire, I’m not sure what happened this time. The room was dirty and my TV didn’t work. On a positive note once I told the front desk my TV didn’t work they did fix it. Breakfast used to be the best part of our stay but this time it was disappointing and frankly disgusting. I will not be back.

Hotel was nice but when we went to bed there was stains all over the comforter.

This felt much farther from town and attractions than it seemed from the property listing. Only five miles but it felt pretty remote, nothing around it at all really. And it’s like a second wing / sister property of the Eisenhower Hotel, which unfortunately meant that the front desk people were not present after around 9 or 10p as they were doing double duty at the Eisenhower. The room was spacious and comfortable, generally speaking. The bathroom…. was so small they had to cut a notch in the door (not kidding) so the door didn’t get stuck on or scrape the toilet when you open and closed the door. That was weird and made using the bathroom awkward. However, the shower was spacious and awesome. Great water pressure, multiple settings, sliding glass doors. All in all, it was okay but I’d choose another hotel closer to attractions if visiting again. After a long day touring the battlefield and museums, the drive back to the hotel was pretty tiring.

The hotel is nothing special really. A place to rest your head. A lot of buzzing and electrical noises. Could hear other occupants way too much.

Hotel was relatively clean and we never felt unsafe while on the property. The staff we did interact with were very nice and personable. The rooms were nothing to rave about as we felt they were a bit overpriced for the amenities provided and the lack of updates in the room. We also noticed that no matter what we did, there was always water pouring out of the shower so plenty of towels were necessary to keep it off the floor preventing damage. Be aware that if you get a room on the back side of the building, you will be blinded by sunlight first thing in the morning as the curtains do not close fully. Some final notes, the beds are pretty firm, the rooms take awhile to cool off in the summer (bathroom is always hot), and there is plenty of light that shines into the room from the hallway through the cracks around the door frame.

Staying on the second floor I didn’t like that the lights for the front drive shown straight into room and no dark curtains to keep light out. Also the heater leaked water all over the carpet. It was very quiet and clean though.

The room was fine, the bed was hard and i really wanted a cup of coffee. But they charge $3.00 plus for a cup of coffee. They also charged me $20.00 early check-in at 1:30. I was driving for close to 8 hours and I needed to lay down. The next day I went to the fitness center and half of the free weights were gone. I will never stay there again.., Capt. Frank Hughes

Convenient to area attractions, spacious rooms, super comfortable beds!

The staff was so helpful, friendly and courteous. They were available and took quick care of anything I asked. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had to wait about 10 mins to be checked in due to nobody being at the desk, but other than that, everything was fine with our stay.

Horrible! A closet with no hangers, a rug with sharp grit scattered on it that we couldn’t stop stepping on, the shower was hands down the worst ever- a garden hose would have been better, the toilet was literally about two feet from the ground- a child’s potty chair basically, there was a large stain on the sheets, the front desk clerk was immensely unpleasant. When we asked for more towels (we had a whole two in a room that sleeps four) she acted as if we were asking for a blood donation. We would have left after seeing the room but circumstances made that impossible but never will we stay there again.

I went to a Paracon and got the hotel right next to it within walking distance. I enjoyed the breakfast (Andrea) the associate helped with making waffles and very polite to guests.

The people in the room beside me were disturbingly loud all hours of the night and the front desk attendant didn’t seem to care or help.

Hotel staff were courteous and attended to issues quickly.

The service here is awful. My son and I got stuck in the elevator for 15 minutes… attempted to contact the front desk many times with no answer. When someone finally did pick up, we told him about the situation and then he just hung up on me! Luckily they got us out right after, but why wouldn’t you let us know that’s what you were doing? Then, the next morning we went to grab a quick breakfast. We did arrive at 9:40a, which is near the end of that service, but the lady was very quick to push us out. She warned us that things will close in 10 min, but it ended at 10a… so we definitely had more time to eat. After all of that, I wouldn’t ever recommend this hotel to someone, especially when there are so many other options available.

Stayed here for our 10 yr anniversary and had a wonderful time. Close to town but far enough where it’s quiet.

To far from mainstream

Good hotel, large rooms and price was great. Location was out of the main part of town but still only a few minutes away. Parking was free and plentiful.

I'm an experienced traveler, but haven't heard of Aspire before. So I had some worries. But worry not. Aspire Hotel is a great value, great location. It's newly renovated and the rooms are large, clean, fresh, nicely furnished, nice clean bath and shower. Parking is free and easy. The breakfast buffet is ample. Assuming you are visiting Gettysburg battlefield... this is convenient location. It's about 10-15 minutes south of the battlefield. And it's an easy drive on country roads. This hotel also has a bar/lounge, game room, and pool - although I didn't use any of these on my stay. Overall, Aspire Hotel was much better than expected. And a really good value given the price of the room.

It was quiet and clean. Very comfortable. And literally on the edge of the battlefield. Close to the downtown and the highways and very convenient to everything

Quiet area but you need to drive to everything. Nothing walkable. Hotel is dated but find. Fitness center consisted of 4 dumbbells and 1 elliptical machine. Breakfast was good. The front desk called the evening we checked in to make sure everything was ok and to see if we needed anything. Of course it was 10:30 at night and we were asleep, but it was nice of them to check in.

Very disappointed. Hotel in general is very nice however the restaurant and bar were closed. Only options were door dash. Nothing available within walking distance. Booked hotel for the main reason of restaurant, room service and bar. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable to where my husband left property and drove home after 1 hour of laying down. My son and I stayed but were awakened several times due to room was on first floor by entrance and everytime someone drove up it was loud and the curtains did not close so people could look in our room. Very unsettling. Room was 2 kings and very roomy but we literally were disappointed and frustrated. Was not an enjoyable time. It’s now 12am as I write this and I am just waiting for daybreak to leave.

The coordination between Aspire and Eisenhower convention center is WONDERFUL! We needed to switch to a pet friendly room at last minute and they graciously accommodated us- so appreciated ! The hot breakfast buffet was consistently good for breakfast. Needed to order a late night supper Friday evening and the process is easy with QR code AND it was delivered by a very pleasant hard working staff with a smile!

Several different parts of the hotel are blocked off with black tarps and marked "unsafe structure, entry prohibited" according to the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code. We did not have hot water for 24 hours, desk attendant told us to turn on the sink and that would circulate the water...nope. cold showers the next morning. This morning we woke up to certain guests being served a hot continental breakfast and we were told that was only for a special group and we got a brown bag with applesauce and a granola bar. I asked for compensation for our troublese stay and was told no because we booked through Expedia, I left my cell phone number for the manager to contact me and did not receive a call. Please don't reply here saying "sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, we hope ...." If you are truly sorry please contact me directly and I can update this post reflecting that within 24 hrs. The pool was nice.

They let us check in early which was great. The room was huge. It was neat and orderly. The AC was incredible. My only slight complaint was that the breakfast could have been better. Bread was the only alternative. No bagels. No muffins
