Fantastic room with a jacuzzi and view of the ocean. The breakfast grab and go options were great

Fireplace very warm. WIFI was super unreliable with weak signals. Surrounding area was rustic and the parking was cramped. Bed was super nice and a fan was given to keep room cool (no airconditioning) and no elevator - which is problematic. Fan is helpful whens you leave patio door open. Which, of course, made the fog horn even louder - every 30 - 45 seconds. Bathroom was clean, toilet was tiny but shower was nice. There no fan in the bathroom which is what led to a faint smell of mildew in the bath. For the price, I would have expected nicer town and TP that was not sandpaper. Nice soaps. Overall, I would expect more for the price.

Loved the property. Would like air conditioning. Otherwise it was perfect.

Really enjoyed the view and this location is close to restaurants. Also a short drive to Mendocino. Minor downsides: parking area is cramped, you will have to use stairs to access any room, no elevator.

Really nice place. Super clean and well-maintained. Fabulous views and nice little balcony for sitting outside. Only downside is we had a very old mattress and there is no A/C. Top floor rooms are pretty warm and there is no easy way to lock a window or door in the open position at night. Still, we would return!

Nice place but no air conditioning however there was a box fan in the room’s closet. Great views. We were on the top floor, no elevator but stairs were fine. Stairs are out side that were covered. The breakfast had fruit, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, oj and coffee as well as some milk prepared in coffee cups. Room we stayed in had a fireplace along with a love seat and two fabric covered chair. Enjoyed our stay.

Parking was horrible. Squeezed in.

Stairs, and more stairs. Elevators would be a great addition. Even stairs down to get from carpark to ground floor rooms. Bags with wheels have been invented, its about time the hotel upgraded so they can be used!

Beautiful view of the harbor. Sometimes you can see the Coast Guard boat. Really relaxing room layout and cool vibe. Only downside is there is no AC in any of the rooms. They give you a fan that you can use to bring the ocean air in, but for the prices of this hotel they should have AC. Very good staff and complimentary services.

The best thing about this hotel/ rooms is the view. That's it. Way too over priced for the room and hotel overall. The breakfast looked like they got leftovers from a local hospital. The furniture and decor was outdated. Bed was uncomfortable. So much noise from the busy road RIGHT THERE. This hotel has a lot of potential, but for the price, it definitely under-delivered.

The hotel is centrally located but on a busy highway which seems to be the norm in Fort Bragg. Parking is limited during peak busy times, however it was nice that the parking lot was a bit removed from the highway. I think the hotel should disclose the fog horn that goes off every 30 seconds. We didn’t mind it for the most part but it could bother light sleepers or folks that like to leave their sliding door open when relaxing. Ear plugs were also provided. The grab-and-go breakfast was no frills. I appreciated that it was available and did use it. In terms of service, the older woman who helped us book a separate night was extremely helpful. The younger woman who checked us in was kind of rude and did not have a hospitable demeanor. Overall, would recommend for a comfortable stay in Fort Bragg.

The staff is excellent! Check in with Lavender was quick and she was very helpful with info on local eateries, businesses, attractions & activities. All other employees we encountered were friendly and helpful too, especially Jose. I would give an excellent rating on the room, but the carpet need replaced. I no carpet in hotels now, easier to clean and more sanitary. The view is amazing!

Very clean and nice place to stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean, quiet, and beautiful views!

Our room was very clean and comfortable. It's a perfect spot for a couples weekend getaway.

We found this to be more motel like in terms of cleanliness. The carpets smelled dirty, especially when the room heated up. It wasn’t super clean. you are paying for a great view, but it was overpriced for the quality. They close at 10pm, so no way to get a key if you come in later than that. The staff was great though.

We stayed two nights to see the sites in Fort Bragg. The Hotel was clean and well maintained. The room faced the ocean and sunset in the evening. There was no significant road noise.

Everything was nice and as expected. Loved the jetted tub. WOW! That was amazing:) The mattress was old though and it needed to be replaced.

Lack of elevators and A/C, spotty Wi-Fi, and the constant noise of the foghorn 24/7 detracted from the upsides, which are: beautiful ocean views, very clean and spacious room and balcony, complimentary grab and go breakfast, and some of the staff were very nice and helpful. Rooms were dark and color scheme is drab.Beds very comfortable and nice clean sheets, microwave and fridge were a plus.

Stayed in ocean view room, enjoyed the bathtub with the view. Beds could have been more comfortable but not bad. Bathrobes and added touches were welcoming.

The rooms are large and well appointed. I loved having a small sitting balcony looking over the ocean—lovely in the late afternoon especially. The “takeaway” breakfast was extensive and generous. To improve the room I had I would recommend a new mattress (it was quite uneven and uncomfortable) and more/brighter lamps (neither the two bedside lamps nor the one standing lamp gave off enough light to read by in the evening). A bonus would be the addition of an ottoman for the very nice armchairs in the room (and a reading lamp in that part of the room). The noise was from the harbor and traffic on the close by bridge. But it was not audible when the window was closed.

This hotel is all about the views! It’s an older hotel but they’ve kept it in good shape. The rooms are large and clean. The bed was super comfortable and I’d say pretty soft. The bed is also high up so if you’re short, you’ll need a boost! Nice dresser space and closet space for clothes. Good size fridge plus a microwave! The morning breakfast doesn’t have much (no scrambled eggs or bacon since there’s no kitchen). However, they have fresh made muffins and croissant sandwiches plus yogurt, hard boiled eggs and fruit so we had plenty to choose from. You get the food and bring back to your room to heat up so don’t check out before breakfast! The ocean is literally right at the base of the hotel so the views were incredible. Nice little balcony with two chairs and you can leave your door open safely all night which you have to do if you’re hot because…. Cons are no A/C! They give you a box fan. Other con is no magnifying mirror in the bathroom but the lighting in the bathroom is better than most. Also, the shower head is low so if you’re tall, you’re getting sprayed in the face. My husband is 6’ and it was spraying in his chin and that’s adjusted as much as he could. Not positive if there’s beach access from the hotel. Didn’t look like it but we did see trails in the brush below our balcony. No stores or restaurants in safe walking distance but a very quick car ride across the busy highway will get you to many places. Glass beach and skunk train is like a 5 minute drive.

The rooms are beautiful. The beds are nice. The walls were thin and we could hear the next room very well. Also shared a balcony with the next room so no romantic sipping wine on the balcony with rowdy neighbors 6 inches from you 😁

We really enjoyed our stay here and plan to stay again next time we are in the Fort Bragg/Mendocino area. Pros- *Location- the views are stunning and there is a beautiful walking trail you can catch right across the hotel's driveway. The trail hugs the coast and is a perfect way to start a visit to the area. *Hot tub and fireplace - If a room has one of these items I'm thrilled. Our room had both with a large window looked out to a gorgeous coastal view. It was sublime. *Staff- Everyone was friendly and they explained clearly everything we needed to know. *Complimentary coffee and breakfast - It's a light breakfast but just knowing we can easily get some coffee and food in our system before we get going was great. Cons- *Noise - Some of the other guests staying at the hotel were very noisy. Even when guest aren't being particularly disruptive those with noise sensitivity might experience a challenge with this hotel. The walls are thin and the room's balcony is shared so you can hear your neighbors even if they're speaking at a normal volume. There is a horn sound every 30 seconds from rh harbor I think but I'm not sure. It's not terribly loud if the doors are closed. The hotel thoughtfully provides earplugs. *Mattress - It was a little firm for me. *Shaking- When other guests ran up and down the stairs we could feel it in our room. It didn't bother us a whole lot but might be hard for other people.

Internet in our room was practically nonexistant. Breakfast was prepackaged gas station food so plan on going out to eat. Views are stellar and the rooms are great.

Michell was wonderful at check in. We arrived late and she offered late check out which we loved. View is amazing! We enjoyed the tub and fireplace. Plenty of clean towels too.

I have purchased real estate with less paperwork than what was required at check in. Beyond that everything else was very good. The room was spacious and nicely furnished, the view from our balcony was very pretty.

Great hotel, staff was extremely nice 1st time my wife walked in hotel room with no slippers very clean. Can’t say enough we will be back

Beautiful Hotel. Beautiful place. Just was really expensive. $300 for one night Drove 8 hrs got there at 2pm tried to call for early check in no answer and when we got there was told no early check in. Woke up late and requested to check out at 12 and they said latest was 11:30 which is 30 mins after checkout I was out at 11:25 and I was still charged for late checkout. The lady working desk also was kinda rude to the new employee. Overall the hotel experience was great and I can't expect anything extra. but I just wish they made and effort.

My boyfriend and I had a phenomenal stay at the North Cliff Hotel. The room and amenities exceeded our expectations, especially in comfort and cleanliness. The staff was professional, warm and welcoming. The in-room hot tub and fireplace with a view of the ocean did not disappoint! The free breakfast offered a variety of options and was arranged beautifully. We will absolutely stay at the North Cliff Hotel again the next time we visit Fort Bragg!

North cliff was a fantastic discovery. We spent one night while on our way up north. Room was immaculate. View was incredible. We were greeted by Scott at the front desk. He was extremely professional and welcoming. I also love, that they are striving for sustainability. Which we all should. Other reviewers mentioned fog horn and how they could not sleep. They must be incredibly light sleepers. We kept our glass door open and left the floor fan on and did not hear anything that would have caused a disturbance. Will definitely stay here again.

We paid extra for a sunset, view room, and arrived about an hour before sunset. After taking 30 minutes to go through the check, and while the lady behind the desk answered several phone calls, we finally got to our room. You had to walk up multiple flights of stairs to get to the room we got to our room, got ready to be unpacked, and the lady that called us and said she gave us the keys to the wrong room. She wouldn’t switch rooms with us so we had to carry all of our luggage down multiple flights of stairs again, go in, and she wanted to start the whole check-in process all over again. This is the single most inconvenient check in process for a hotel that I’ve done in over 30 years. They have a very bad technology, no Internet, and the place is cobble together with stairs all over the place to where it’s completely not ADA friendly. There are plenty of other hotels in the area I would suggest going somewhere else. Stay far away.

View spectacular! 5 Star Dinning options within walking distance!

Lovely views, quiet hotel. There is a fog horn going here and there but it didn’t bother me. They provide ear plugs for the lighter sleepers. No AC but it’s the coast so the rooms are fairly cool and there is a fan provided. Fireplace in room with hot tub, carpets appeared new and bed was comfortable and clean. Continental breakfast was included and the room came with a small bottle of wine. Overall lovely stay.

Very clean hotel with super friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast too! We had superior views. This is not the hotels fault, but there’s a fog horn that blows every 3 minutes so it’s hard to have the door open. It didn’t bother my daughter but I wasn’t crazy about it. We enjoyed downtown, the beach and great restaurants! Highly recommend!

The hot tub by the window was an epic way to experience the view. Nice trails to walk and places to sit and enjoy the amazing scenery

We really enjoyed our stay overall. The room had a stunning ocean view, a beautiful hot tub, and a private balcony perfect for watching the sunset each evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful—special thanks to Catherine for going above and beyond during our visit. However, there were a few downsides. The noise from the nearby highway was noticeable, especially at night. There were also people partying late in the adjacent state beach parking lot, which disrupted the peace a bit. Additionally, the presence of homeless individuals under the nearby bridge, right near our door, felt somewhat unsafe at times. With a few improvements to the surrounding environment, this would be an ideal coastal getaway.

My wife and I loved this place. The room was incredible and the view was outstanding. There is also an excellent seafood restaurant next door.

Had an absolute gorgeous time the room was so cozy and the jetted tub was marvelous. The staff were extremely welcoming and the breakfast was great.

Had a great experience here. Staff were kind and patient. Check in and check out was a breeze. Rooms we spacious, clean, and the views were amazing. Watched the sunset and the boats from the window and balcony. Even got to see a couple seals swimming around. Complimentary goodies for breakfast were yummy and there were many food options within 5 minutes of the hotel.

It was perfect in every way, for our honeymoon. Spa tub and fireplace and ocean view/and sunset. Just one suggestion, for breakfast something available besides sweet pastry, and a couple fruit selections. Overall, top notch!

We had an absolutely fabulous view. Super fun property. Really liked the grab and go breakfast. Room really nice. Too warm to use the fireplace but it looked wonderful.

Very comfortable room. Grab and go breakfast was handy. The spa tub and fireplace was incredible. Highly recommend. We were here for a work thing and stayed longer for vacation.

It exceeded our expectations. The room was beautiful and spacious. Views from balcony and hot tub picture window were fantastic watched sunset from tub. Fireplace was great next to tub after a long cold day of hiking. The rooms were quiet and bed comfortable with extra pillows. Extra touches like real plates, silverware and glassware in room great as we ate pizza in room. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The morning grab and go breakfast was plenty and varied even with gluten free options. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family. Our only negative is we didn’t stay longer.
