Lex Hotel Cebu

I have stayed at this property many times over the past years. They have made some nice improvements especially to the breakfast area which is now in the new lobby restaurant. Room was clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Paid car from the airport was on time. Driver was great. A couple of notes. Please clean the outside windows so guests can see the view. Fitness center has some equipment that does not work and mildew/ mold aroma. I recommend the upstairs pool bar for the view and service. Hotel has a great location and better price than the Holiday Inn and Radisson Blu.

I've been coming here for many years now and will continue to come. Good central location for good price and very friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is pretty good Isn't a new hotel but is well maintained and a bathrooms are modern. Comfortable beds and good ac. Rooftop bars just a bonus

3 night stay. Like the expanded breakfast buffet area. Wish they would do more with the roof top pool deck. Bar is boring. Service is good. Staff are friendly. Have stayed here many times, both before and after Covid.

I have stated at this property many times over the years and sadly have noticed a recent deterioration in the cleanliness maintenance and upkeep. We checked into the room & it smelled like urine housekeeping had to bring in a ionizer machine to try to clean the air. Machine was quite loud and stayed on entire stay. The TV did not work & maintenance had to come up and fix the connection, even after that many of the channels were very fuzzy or unwatchable due to the poor video connection. The rooms are becoming outdated and really look the same as they did 10 years ago when I stayed at this property. One of the air conditioners in the fitness center did not work and half of the equipment did not work properly. I would like to say that the staff at the pool bar is very friendly, especially Albert, the bartender. The restaurant staff and dayshift staff at the front desk are also very friendly. Unfortunately the afternoon front desk clerk attempted to add a 1500 peso per night surcharge to my room simply because my daughter was now 13 years old and not 12 years old or younger. This was despite the fact that I had prepaid the room and on the Hotels.com website, children were stated to be 17 years of age and younger. The front desk supervisor stated that there’s an internal policy at the hotel that anyone over the age of 12 years is considered to be an adult & that I would need to pay an extra person and an extra breakfast fee. Hotels.com had to step & help get the fee waived.

Have stayed at this property numerous times before. Friendly staff. Good service. Restaurant host needs to confirm with Front Desk prior to talking to guests about breakfast charges. My room included free breakfast for two adults and a child. I had to inform the hostess about this when she seated me. Excercise room needs to be updated. Half of the equipment is broken and it smells musty. Room was clean and well equipped. Nice pool area upstairs however bar is boring. Much nice when the hotel offered nightly Karaoke. Overall this hotel provides a good value and is in a safe walkable neighborhood.

It was ok! Our room was spacious. No outlet to charge your phone within reach. The bathroom needs to be cleaner. Windows needs washing.

The hotel and room was great however the room we had the shower did not drain and almost flooded the bathroom.

Property is in a safe part of town with walkable restaurants and short trips for shopping and nightlife. Community facilities and restaurant are great, bathrooms a little tired in rooms, but all in all a very nice stay and staff were great.

Even with all the lights turned on, the room felt a bit dim. Aside from the lighting, everything was excellent. There is a convenience store and a 24-hour Jollibee next to the hotel which is very convenient. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good. Honestly better than expected for a 4-star hotel. The area in front of the hotel is extremely busy and traffic is always congested. It seemed particularly worse compared to other areas. If you plan to book a Grab, make sure to allow plenty of extra time.

Well I like the place the ambiance the staffs so accommodating ,clean and safe and the food is good but unfortunately the wifi is so unstable couldn't connect the connection was so bad in the room.

Cons: the room I was given had a stench smell coming from the bathroom. The fridge wasn’t working, even after complaining about it, we were told it’s only for chilling (but it didn’t even chill anything we put in it). Some channels on the TV didn’t have good volume, you can barely hear it even if volume was cranked up. Pros: Staff are amazing, always helpful and very polite. Laundromat is just across the street. There’s also massage place across the street that’s open 24hrs. Walking distance to eatery, fast food (Jollibee and McDo), and convenience stores. The pool is nice and overall, the building is decent.

This has been my go-to hotel every trip I made to the Philippines in the last 9 years but this trip major problem with AC working not cold enough to make us comfortable in the room we complained was told by maintenance new AC there is no problem with it we canceled our return trip there and stayed at another hotel because of it we will not be staying there anymore

Clean and nice, big room with AC, fridge, safe, hair dryer, TV etc. The staff was really nice and helpful. The reason for the poor was because all the noise from the traffic all night long with roaming mopeds, cars honking etc. Only got maximum of 1 hours sleep because of the noise.

This may be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. So much road noise that we had to downgrade to another room. The air conditioning did not blow cold so we then moved to another room. That air did not work well also but we just settled. The manager was not interested in our issues and made an appointment on our third day because she was so busy. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay here

The staff are exceptional and very professional yet also friendly and helpful. The room and bed was so comfortable i cant wait to stay here again next time I'm in Cebu city. Close to Mango, Ayala and I.T. park. Just one small issue is 190 pesos for an ice tea. Its hard to tip when the price is so exorbitant

Nice place, booked a room that had occupancy for 3 ppl (1adult, 2 children). It showed free breakfast included for the room. Checked in, the front desk stated free breakfast for everyone. But on last day of check out they charged us and tried to say we had booked for 2 ppl and breakfast is only for 2 ppl. We showed the expedia booking that stated 3 ppl. None the less they state you can have 3 occupancy but only free breakfast for 2 ppl. To make matters worse, the front desk manager is not at work. Even at 10am when we check out, the manager is still not available. The staff cannot make decision and wants us to keep waiting or charge us the breakfast. Quite absurd customer service.

I recently booked this hotel through Expedia that clearly stated breakfast included in the room rate. However, when we arrived at the hotel, the front desk informed us that our reservation did not include breakfast. This was very disappointing and frustrating, especially since one of the main reasons we chose this property was the included breakfast.We showed the staff Expedia website which mentioned breakfast, but they said it was a mistake on Expedia’s end and that they couldn’t do anything about it. We ended up having to pay extra for breakfast each morning.I reached out to Expedia customer service, but the response was slow and unhelpful — they didn’t take responsibility for the inaccurate information. I expected better from a major booking platform.Expedia needs to ensure the details on their listings are accurate and that customers aren’t misled by incorrect descriptions. This experience made our trip more stressful than it should have been, and I’ll be more cautious using Expedia in the future.

It is not a modern hotel, but the rooms are kept clean and in good condition. The breakfast is great, with many healthy options as well. The staff service is 5 star for sure. One of the things that really caught my attention is that Filipino people are really respectful, cordial, hardworking and always have a smile ready for you despite the adversities, problems, and challenges they face. I highly recommend this hotel.

Staff are fantastic and very helpful. I accidentally overpaid on a bar bill before I got downstairs. They were already reaching out to me to let me know I’d overpaid and refunded what I was due. They could’ve not said anything and I would never have known the difference. The free breakfast is a delicious buffet that every morning has a little something different. This is a good hotel to stay at.

Strange men who are not guests roam the halls at night after guests are supposed to be gone after 10 pm. I had one such man who i have termed the male rapist. Stay outside my room from 8 pm until 4 am ringing my doorbell. Earlier the same man had said i was pretty and the hotel staff would not help remove the man. The tpolice would not respond either. The man is apparently a tribal leader with sexual access, legally, to anyone who submits or whom he can rape. I didn't recommend staying at the lex cebu hotel or in cebu city or on cebu island.

I had a challenging experience because of some communication issues between the booking platform and the hotel. My reservation included breakfast, but when I arrived, the hotel said they only had the room reserved. It was confusing, but I hope the process is clearer for future guests.

I booked this hotel that included daily breakfast buffet but the front desk employee said NO! I asked for the hotel manager, said was not available!

The staff are brilliant. The facilities are good. The pool was great and the kids loved it. There are several eating options around the hotel. It's within walking distance of the 'House of Lechon' - great Lechon and traditional philipino food. There is a laundry next door and a well stocked grocery store near by. Also a beautiful Catholic church across the road. Will definitely consider staying here again if I find myself in Cebu.

It was in a safe area. Across the street from a mall, local laundry and 24 hour McDonalds made it super convenient and save us money. Great buffet breakfast Everyone was cordial Would definitely recommend.

Very nice and clean hotel with a comfy bed. Closed to McDonalds and Jolibee. Traffic though is terrible during rush hours in this area but that is to be expected in the city.
