The staff were so helpful and friendly, and we rotated through 3 different shift changes and all were equally as friendly. The room didn't have a view but that didn't bother us in the slightest as only sleeping in there but mention it as I know some people care about that kind of thing. The shower had shampoo, conditioner and shower gel available (so many places have multi use now it was good to have separate options especially with needing conditioner). Over the sink had soap and body lotion - again not something you see in many places now. The property was very clean and the breakfast was possibly the best breakfast we've had as part of a buffet in terms of options and quality of ingredients. Unbelievable for the price really. Location was around 20 minutes from the museum at a steady pace. There is a car park on Northgate which is a minute walk away, open so you take your chances but our vehicle was fine. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Birmingham. Also to note the tram is pretty much next door to the hotel if that is of interest to travellers.

On check in we were advised the system was down. We were allocated a room but as we were stood in the lift a member of staff advised we’d been allocated the wrong room. Back to reception and another room was allocated. When we entered the room a man popped his head round the bathroom door who was already staying in the room, back to reception again and a 3rd room was allocated. That room was ok aside from the fact that the previous occupants had left a drink carton in the room which had not been removed by the cleaning team. The bar was being manned by the same person trying to check people so had to wait to get served. Breakfast was a bit of a shambles, clearly not enough staff on. No one to allocate a table, tables not being cleared, coffee machine needed emptying so didn’t work and then a big queue when it did, sauce was empty, you could have walked in from the street and helped yourself it was so disorganised. The worst Hilton brand hotel I’ve stayed in.

Can’t fault the room or the staff attitude. Good location for jewellery quarter. Breakfast was just a bit busy and tables were not cleared as quickly as needed. Kept running out of milk for coffee and no one around to ask. It was a busy weekend but think this could have been better prepared for. Would have been a 5 star otherwise. Would go there again though.

Nice location for Jewellery quarter. Nice room. Could not open the window though so quite warm and stuffy. Breakfast functional, not great. But did have a waffle maker.
