It was very pleasent, we like to have a kitchen, and laundry machines, and both was there. The staff was remarkable friendly and patient. There were lots of people staying, coming and going, but the staffs still managed to keep everything clean and tidy. And we also notice that they went out of their ways to help the guests.

Friendly staff. I think the only con is that you have to take the lift to the first floor to access the showers. The narrow street right outside the hostel is very quiet at night.

We loved our stay at Piece Hostel Kyoto - the staff a helpful and friendly, the decor of the common area / kitchen is amazing and there are were brilliant facilities - lots of cooking utensils and we were so impressed with the coffee beans, hand grinders and v60s!! The rooms are basic but with a huge super comfy double bed, we had no issues with noise but free earplugs were provided, 10/10!

We had a wonderful stay here for 4 nights. Clean, comfortable and nice kitchen/communal space. Quiet area but very well connected with Kyoto Station 5 minute walk away - Metro, JR and Shinkansen. Also opposite the station is the main bus station as pickup point for day tours which was very convenient. Our only issue was that the washing machines and driers are sat outside right in the designated smoking area - so our clothes smelt terrible, hopefully they can fix this going forward and it would be full marks.

Fantastic stay for a hostel. Place looks very new. Rooms were new, clean and well maintained. Bed was spacious and comfy. Toilets were on every floor, showers were on the ground floor. Strong heaters in the rooms and hot showers readily available. Towels are provided which is rare. Common spaces were plenty both indoor and out. Washer & dryers were located in the courtyard. Movie nights on some nights. Has a bar too. Front desk staff are knowledgeable and spoke fluent English. Ready to help with reservations and any questions you may have. They can help send your luggage to the next destination. They even sell stamps & travel passes. Highly recommended!

京都駅から近くて価格も安く、大変満足でした。 朝食無料でコーヒーやお茶も飲み放題ですし、共用エリアが広いので過ごしやすかったです。 トイレとシャワールームが共用でしたが、数も多く大変綺麗でした。

Near the Kyoto train station. Small Quiet room with its own small sink and television. Nice selection of books and info about the area. Only bad things was I was told there was a laundry area to wash my clothes but I couldn't find it anywhere.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was conveniently 6min from the train station (as long as you exit from the correct exit/gate). The area had a ton of food options and it was easy to get around via bus /train to all of the main tourist attractions. I enjoyed that the hostel sold one day subway and bus pass. It was definitely the more affordable option compared to tapping your card everywhere. The area was safe and quiet. My room was a decent size. I got a single room loft. It’s small in comparison to other countries, but it was enough for me. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Showers were clean. I also used the washer and dryer and they were easy to use. The receptionist all spoke English. They also had game nights and activities so it was easy to meet people. I would stay here again.

This hostel really surprised me. Every corner was spotless, it had every thing we needed. Rooms were spacious, showers and toilet rooms were very clean. Staff were great, quiet area. Would definitely stay here again in Kyoto.

교토역 앞 최적의 위치! 바로 근처 아반티 건물안에 돈키호테 있어서 마지막날 숙소로도 매우 좋았습니다. 숙소도 1층 라운지가 아늑하고 좋아요. 룸은 작지만 컨디션 괜찮습니다 :)

Great place close to Kyoto station which connect you to many day trips out of Kyoto. Bed was comfortable and actually very sound proof. I feel private even it’s hostel. Shower stall is bigger than I expected and cleaned all the time. Laundry facilities is very reasonable. 200yen for washing machine and 100 yen for 30mins of dryer. It’s actually cheaper than other hotel. Friendly helpful staffs

フロントは外国人だったり日本人だったりですが日本語に不自由なく対応は問題ないです。自炊設備なども充分に整っているし清潔です。共用スペースも快適。部屋のロッカーがうまく作動しなかったり、オートロックが反応しなくなったらしましたが対応してくれました。地理的にも、八条口ではあるものの便利でいいところです。

Place is close by JR Kyoto station, located off a quiet road. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They showed us around the hostel, made us aware of events happening and had recommendations of places to go and eat. Room is comfortable but compact. They stored our luggage after check out, prefect to do some last minute exploring. Great value for the price!

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was conveniently 6min from the train station (as long as you exit from the correct exit/gate). The area had a ton of food options and it was easy to get around via bus /train to all of the main tourist attractions. I enjoyed that the hostel sold one day subway and bus pass. It was definitely the more affordable option compared to tapping your card everywhere. The area was safe and quiet. My room was a decent size. I got a single room loft. It’s small in comparison to other countries, but it was enough for me. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Showers were clean. I also used the washer and dryer and they were easy to use. The receptionist all spoke English. They also had game nights and activities so it was easy to meet people. I would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay here for 4 nights. Clean, comfortable and nice kitchen/communal space. Quiet area but very well connected with Kyoto Station 5 minute walk away - Metro, JR and Shinkansen. Also opposite the station is the main bus station as pickup point for day tours which was very convenient. Our only issue was that the washing machines and driers are sat outside right in the designated smoking area - so our clothes smelt terrible, hopefully they can fix this going forward and it would be full marks.

교토역 앞 최적의 위치! 바로 근처 아반티 건물안에 돈키호테 있어서 마지막날 숙소로도 매우 좋았습니다. 숙소도 1층 라운지가 아늑하고 좋아요. 룸은 작지만 컨디션 괜찮습니다 :)

We loved our stay at Piece Hostel Kyoto - the staff a helpful and friendly, the decor of the common area / kitchen is amazing and there are were brilliant facilities - lots of cooking utensils and we were so impressed with the coffee beans, hand grinders and v60s!! The rooms are basic but with a huge super comfy double bed, we had no issues with noise but free earplugs were provided, 10/10!

Fantastic stay for a hostel. Place looks very new. Rooms were new, clean and well maintained. Bed was spacious and comfy. Toilets were on every floor, showers were on the ground floor. Strong heaters in the rooms and hot showers readily available. Towels are provided which is rare. Common spaces were plenty both indoor and out. Washer & dryers were located in the courtyard. Movie nights on some nights. Has a bar too. Front desk staff are knowledgeable and spoke fluent English. Ready to help with reservations and any questions you may have. Piece Hostels takes the best of the hostel experience while leaving the worst: rooms are individual (with baths being shared), while there are ample common spaces for socializing and event programming. The double room was spacious for two for a 5 day stay. Unfortunately the AC made the room extremely damp making the room feel uncomfortable. Otherwise the amenities were lovely and the place was well kept.
