Hampton Inn & Suites Port Aransas

The breakfast was awesome. The pool area and hot tub were great, lots of loungers and there was some shade provided. The fitness center had good equipment.

They need identification for cars, people from the other houses around them park in the hotel area and when you arrive at night there are no stalls, the entrance needs more lighting for the hotel location ads.

It was nice, but the pool was closed the whole time we were there that was disappointing and we hardly had no towels

Experience was very good. Breakfast was hot and freshly cooked snd enjoyed by both of us. Room was large, bed was comfortable. Really appreciated the Tesla chargers, made searching for EV stations unnecessary- definitely a winning feature. Will certainly stay here in the future. Hostess restaurant recommendations reliable.

The pool water was green. The service desk personal didn’t know why. That was Sunday. Monday I asked and they said the pool guy had been notified. Tuesday when we left it was still green

Property was clean. Closet door in room was off the hinges. Hot tub was not working. Otherwise, things were nice. The young lady working the day we checked in was awesome!

Great all around, wish the hot tub was warm by 8 when it opened and the in hotel laundry machines both worked but otherwise great!

The lady Cassie who checked us in was WONDERFUL! The hotel was clean, the pool and hot tub were great after a long day and we slept great. Breakfast was also very good!

Pool area could’ve been cleaner

We stayed at this hotel last year and we loved it! This year it was not the same. Our bathroom was dirty, hairs everywhere in the floor and seems like they don’t clean behind the door or under the bathroom sink. I had to clean the floors when we arrived since I have little kids and it was gross.

This is for the Hampton Inn suites located in Port Aransas, Texas. It started with me calling to set a reservation, I was told that I would get a better rate by setting the reservation online. I set the reservation online and when I arrived, I was told that I would not receive any points for the stay because I registered online. The attitude that I received basically felt like they were doing me a favor by allowing me to stay at their hotel. After the first night stay, I realize that I had been sleeping in a bed that had horrible blood stains and body fluids dried up on the sheets that we were laying on. We also found that the comforter and sheets had blood stains on them as well.We were very disappointed, especially since we paid extra to get a larger room. Which came with a view of where they stash all the crap they don’t use anymore. The staff changed the sheets and basically explained that they have problems with their employees, and that was why things weren’t that great. To top it all off they have the audacity to put a envelope in the room, asking for you to give them a tip.

Well the room and bathroom were very clean, but it amazes me how bathrooms at hotels always have dirty “corners” and caulk by the tub areas. The staff was very nice, especially morning and day crews!

Everything is good. The only thing is a bad smell in the building and room.

Room was very nice, clean, quiet, with a comfortable bed, friendly staff. Took a star off because the hallway carpets were really dirty and had a noticeable odor. Room carpets were tolerable but also had an odor. I would stay here again.

My room was dirty. There was an old french fry by the air conditioning unit. Behind the hair dryer door, there was a really old and dirty hand towel. The shower wasn’t properly cleaned, and the room overall felt unclean.

Rooms were not clean

The hotel staff is always friendly and professional. The rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet is very good and plentiful.

I stay here every time I go to Port Aransas for deep sea fishing charters, a couple of times a year. The staff is always friendly and I like that they have coffee and hot water in the lobby. The complimentary breakfast is always good. The rooms are always clean except for this time there was hair in the shower sink and counter. Not sure if the housekeeper had it on their rag or missed cleaning it.. Other than that, This is the ol faithful place to stay. P.S. This location is pet friendly with an additional fee.

the room needed maintenance (I.E. the toilet paper holder needed tightened up, the sink faucet handle needed tighting) good friendly staff, good breakfast selection, room was quiet and quite comfortable

Beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious. Bathroom needs a little updating due to the beach environment.

Hotel is very nice and great location. I had room with connecting door to next room and the noise was terrible. The person had the TV blaring so loud and I could hear him order pizza and when it was delivered. He was just a big old loud guy. I called the front desk to ask if they could request him to turn down the noise, they didn’t do anything except offer for me to change rooms? I was only there one night and didn’t want to pack up and unpack. So I had to resort to take something to help me sleep

It was comfortable and convenient. Staff was nice. There were a few things in the room that needed attention- one window blind wouldn't open, a minor annoyance.

The staff were friendly and helpful. There was coffee in the lobby available for guests all the time. Although the elevators were large and spacious, one elevator popped and cracked while operating. It made us quite uncomfortable and fearful it might break down when using it. The bathroom particularly the tub needed remodeling. The grout was old and cracked, but the shower had 2 head with only one that worked. We also couldn't figure out how to make water come out of the faucet to fill the tub. It would be nice if the sink area had a magnifying mirror.

The refrigerator in the room had a loud buzz when it came on. It was not constant but when it came on it is loud enough to wake up the guest. Also there was a freqent, intermittent sound of a toilet flushing in a nearby room. It was much more frequent than one would expect and went on all through the night. There was no other noise from the room at all, so I thought this might be a plumbing issue. Also the in-room coffee was terrible!

We had a suite and it was very spacious. Perfect for us! The beds were comfy, had all the accommodations we needed. The free breakfast was a hit, but the food was mid. Nothing special. We enjoyed the hot tub. Overall very clean hotel. We would stay here again.

Got to the hotel early. Parking lot was practically empty. Was promised a room quickly with a view. But 3 hrs later they finally called saying a room was ready. With a view of the parking lot. Room itself was large, spacious and clean.bed was great.

Overall great hotel! Room refrigerator froze everything we put in it including my $20 salad that I was saving for later! Limited grassy area for the dog to potty-hate to go right in front! Otherwise clean,comfortable and had a great breakfast!! We will definitely stay here again!!

I liked the location. Just far enough so it was easy getting in and out. Room nicely equipped. Two issues, no instructions or channel listings for the TV. The shower had very low water pressure. I tried all settings on the shower to no avail. All the staff were very kind and helpful.

This was by far the worst hotel I have stayed in. The cabinet in the room was broken, the toilet water pressure and sink faucet were incredibly low. When we notified the front desk the guy did not care and said maintenance was not in on weekends and there were no other rooms available. The tv was on a screen with static we attempted to access it but were unable to, the same guy said to just keep pressing buttons and it would work. The next day we asked for towels since housekeeping hadn’t come yet and the same guy the same said that housekeeping only comes every other day and when we asked for additional towels for showers he said you can take them up yourselves. The breakfast buffet was the only saving grace. This place definitely needs an update.

Safety: the morning of our departure, with do not disturb flag on door, but door ajar, a man barged into our room unannounced to be surprised we were there. No uniform, no name tag, he claimed to be housekeeping. This action on his part causes concern for guests safety. I forcefully but not physically told him to leave and if part of housekeeping staff should honor door privacy flags. I reported this to front desk.

We have stayed at many hotels on the island and this hotel is by far the best one. The breakfast was the best from any hotel on the island and runs from 6-10am. Our first morning we went down at 7am and everything was plentiful and refilled in a timely manner and the lady kept coming out and checking on everything. However, the next day we went down and at about 8:45 and nothing was refilled, no coffee, no muffins, not much to chose from and in the 30 minutes that we sat there we never saw the lady come out to relace items. My daughter and I were on a girls trip and the majority of the time we felt safe. However I was a little creeped out one day as the front desk clerk upon check in had told us that they only offer housekeeping every other day so because we were only staying 2 nights we would not be recieving any housekeeping. Well our first full day there we left about 11am and i purposely closed our restroom door so that i could see if anyone entered the room while we were gone. As we were leaving the front desk lady was asking us questions about what we would be doing that day. I didnt think anything of it other than she was being friends. Then we got back around 2pm to find the restroom door wide open. Someone had been in our room but none of the trash cans were empty, no towels removed or replaced. Not sure why they came in. Nothing was missing so i never reported it. It made me feel a little uneasy though.

Check in was smooth. Every employee was friendly and nice. The breakfast was great. The location is only a few blocks from the beach, but you do have to cross the highway and there is no crosswalk in front of the hotel

The staff was very welcoming. Room was in excellent condition and omg the breakfast was AMAZING. Will definitely be back!!

All of the staff remarkable but most importantly, I nominate Barry as “Man of the Year”! He turned a bad situation good. He was extremely helpful throughout the check-in Very clean establishment.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very relaxed place to enjoy some downtime. Enjoyed this Hotel both times we have stayed here. Special shout out for Andi who works the front desk in the evenings. Always greeted us with a smile & paid special attention to our dog Diesel. Andi was very pleasant & welcoming from our first night there.

Younger front desk staff needs to be trained to show a higher level of Respect to guests, and not to be snarky, especially when guests are upset because the AC in their room quits working and are expecting the staff to act just as concerned and promptly take care of the situation. The Real Gem was that the Lady who came from the back and was obviously the Mgr. She promptly and immediately addressed the problem, and had the AC replaced immediately. I want her to know that I greatly Appreciate her and Thank her. Her level of Promptness, and Respect towards my wife and I, and the situation at hand, is exactly why I would still recommend staying at Hampton Inn & Suites Port Aransas to family and friends on their trips to Port A.

Upon a late arrival was given keys to our room only to have to come down the elevator 3 times as the keys did not work. The third time the older gentle man went up with us with a master key only to him opening the room to find other guest sleepibg

Room was well kept and staff gave great hospitality. The location of the hotel was not too far from the beach or shops, great location.

we had the best time we came for a family weekend with our two dogs. Room was great very comfy staff was amazing always greeting us when we were leaving and coming in. Very safe and pet friendly. Also close to the beach and food places. Will be staying here every time we come back to Port A

East Access to beaches

Clean, newer for Port A, comfortable and roomy rooms, quiet, friendly staff, convenient to town and beaches

Very clean and comfortable. Friendly check in staff. Great breakfasts. Only downside is not accessible via golf carts, which are in wide use.

Hampton's location offers comfort and good service, just lacks the ambiance of a beach area in that it is rather hidden and is short on any pleasant views, other than an adjacent lumber yard.

The breakfast was good but definitely not healthy. Couldn't get eggs without cheese, sausage was super greasy and salty. I personally don't mind any of that too much. But it would have been nice to have plain eggs.

This is my go to place in Port A. You can expect clean rooms, great service, and good rates. The only thing I wish Hampton Inn would change overall is upgrade the cooked breakfast, and add a happy hour.

The lady at the breakfast sure starts your morning off right. She is absolutely amazing! The breakfast is phenomenal especially that they have whipped cream and chocolate / caramel drizzle for your waffles and coffee. It made me feel like I was at a fancy cafe. The staff is also very good. The elevator clicks a little bit more than we like it and the water found in wasn't working which is the only reason why I didn't give them an excellent for everything.

Third stay in three years/annually. All good except breakfast selection and quality. I ate before 7 am. The oatmeal was not cooked and watery. Potatoes spicy with pepper and non spicy eggs 1 of 3 mornings. Minimal fruit.. bananas 1 pf 3 mornings and only apples. Otherwise good as expected.

The hotel may look like an ordinary hotel but the hospitality of the staff was amazing. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with your room key ready and told about all the amenities available at the hotel and around it. The best part wasn’t just the staff but the breakfast, it was exemplary and I can’t understate because I ate about 4 omelets and a plate full of potato’s. In the future if I return again I will book my stay here guaranteed
