Hampton Inn Middletown

The hospitality was great. One issue and a consent so the washer door locked and started the cycle but could not be stopped. Called two mangers and a maintenance person and nobody could get the door to unlock had to wait 29 minutes for it to end a cycle before it would unlock the door. What if that was a child inside that washer they would have died. The door should never stay locked and not be able to be released huge safety concerns.

Not told POOL not working till after all paperwork done!!

Location is going through a renovation, so it is starting to look a little fresher. Room still had some old/worn out furniture which wasn't great. Wi-Fi was terrible. Noise from floor above was a bit much. Recommend staying on the top floor for that reason. Area around hotel is okay, but not great.

Kids loved the pool area

The bed was great and we slept well. However the property was undergoing renovations and there were cockroaches in our room.

Very disappointed that the pool was not open.I checked website to make sure your pool was open for my granddaughter,she eas so excited..So then,We had to take her to walmart to her a toy to make up for not being able to swim as promised.There was no mention of it being closed until after I checked in and paid.

Like the digital key option. The shower head didn’t have a good spray. Either it was too agressive or not enough pressure.

The entire facility was very clean. There were a few maintenance items that needed attention and some signs of age, but they were in the process of updating furniture so it should be better soon. Overall, it was a very nice stay.

There was some reconstruction going on.

Staff very friendly and accommodating ... hot cookies and lemonade where delicious, nice pool, breakfast delicious all the little extra touch to make your stay more comfortable. Thanks

There was a bug on the bed. Used soap in the shower and hair. The room was a handicap room with the sign at the window and you can't see out. Would not stay there again.

The Property was fine and staff was great however, I had to be moved to a different room becasue there were ants everywhere in the room I fisrt went to. I was told I couldn't receive any kind of discount or anything for my inconvenience. I wasn't happy about that at all. But the staff was nice about moving me. They didn't hesitate at all. I was in town for busniess and I'm not sure if I would stay here again though. I usually stay at Hoilday Day Inn Express.

Only one housekeeping visit during 15 day stay, Internet constantly dropping, TV not picking up any channels, continuous dog barking, letting soccer team children run rampant, yelling, stomping, screaming through halls and lobby till 12am

Check in went great & the room seemed fine before dinner. There was some noise, but it was still early, so didn't think anything of it. We left for dinner & loved that Walmart was basically in the parking lot, very convenient... We came back around 1AM to the people above us having their TV blaring, & someone stomping around all night along with what sounded like someone banging on the door or a wall in their room. I knocked on the ceiling at 3AM, they stopped for a couple minutes, but then continued. I went to call the front desk, but the phone didn't work, so I called from my cellphone, but they seemed to not care. We did not hardly sleep, then there was a drawer in the TV stand that opened all on it's own every time it was shut & dangerous in the dark. In the morning we were going to get ready & had a critter (cockroach) in the shower that found a hole to go into & we were unable to kill it. We of course had the heebie jeebies, told the front desk but were told since we booked thru 3rd party there was nothing they could do. Will be staying in the area from time to time & surely will not be staying here.

The room was visibly unclean. I was prepared to do a general wipe down, but this was bad. A 1/2 cup orange juice on nightstand. Toothpaste on bathroom mirror. Tops of desk & tv stand greasy. Dirty carpet. Filthy upholstered chair… unfit to use. This was NOT a cheap room. Also, two front desk employees completely ignored me as I entered the lobby. I was too tired to confront the issues. I won’t return return and will discourage anyone I know.

BED BUG ALL OVER THE PLACE, CHECKED IN AROUND 9:30 PM AND LEFT AT 12 AM WITH BED BUG INFECTIONS ALL OVER MY NECK AND BODY, NOT RECOMMENDING THIS HOTEL TO ANY ONE, STAY AWAY, THEY DID NOT EVEN REFOUND MY MONEY BACK. I WAS TOLD BY RECEPTIONIST CALL EXPEDIA FOR REFOUND, JUST IMAGINE YOU PAY FOR THE ROOM AND LEAVE AFTER 2 HOURS BECAUSE OF BED BUG BITES, AND THEY DID NOT EVEN CARE TO REFOUND YOUR MONEY, ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDING, VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

Excellent hotel, clean, quiet, safe. Staff was very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a good place to stay in this area. There is also a Walmart within walking distance.

First let me say the staff was great/ super friendly and very attentive. The rooms were outdated and in need of TLC. Dirty bedding, worn out furniture, and overall feel of lack of cleanliness in the rooms. I was traveling with a toddler and infant, so sleep is already hard to come by. TVs in the neighboring rooms were easily heard, people upstairs sounded like jungle animals and the worst of all- we were located next to the housekeeping area so we could hear dryers and carts throughout the night. It was not a bad stay, but not a hotel I would return to.

We appreciated the fact that our room was very clean.

I came for a long awaited rest. I really didn’t get any. Kids ran the hall all night and someone kept calling the room until 1:45am I was in severe pain and just wanted some rest and usually I can get it here but not this time. The breakfast was not as good as in the past. My door didn’t shut and lock without you pulling in really hard to make it shut. A safety hazard.

I was very disappointed with the room. It wasn't what I viewed when I booked the room on Hotels.com. The Studio King room was supposed to provide up to 4 adults which included a couch. The room had the King bed, but no couch which means it was only for 2 adults not 4. When I opened the curtain all I could see was a cement wall. The structure of the building when you pull in to check in covered the entire window. Why you would have a Studio room with no view is beyond explanation. I was told Hotels.com booked the room not Hampton Inn. I'm not really sure. Regardless, I was very disappointed to pay more for a Studio King room with basically no view out the window. So disappointed.

It wasn't a good sleep even after a day at the amusement park. Sound between the floor above kept the whole family up most of the night. Complained twice. Didn't want anyone kicked out in middle of the night so just kept up hope. Either the floor above was haunted or children running back and forth all night unsupervised.

No WiFi either day! I mentioned it to the manager in the morning and he said, his phone worked! Didn’t know why mine didn’t? Neither did my husband get WiFi.

One of the cabinet drawers (under the TV) was opening on its own. It looks like it has been happening for some time because someone before us used scotch tape to try to keep it closed.

Sink was cracked and pull out drawer wouldn’t stay closed we kept running in to it

This was a very nice property. It was quiet and we got a very restful night’s sleep.

The staff was excellent! Very clean, enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Very easy to get to off the highway would definitely recommend!

Check in was a hassle. No soap in bathroom

I booked my stay through Expedia and received an email confirmation. However, after driving nearly 4 hours, I was told that I had no reservation and the hotel was full. I explained to the staff I had a confirmation number, even showing my itinerary and confirmation email. However, I was continuously told that I had no reservation and the rooms were full. The hotel stated they never received information from Expedia concerning my stay. Additionally, the hotel staff women showed zero compassion nor made any attempt to assist me in finding alternative lodging. I sent an email and left several voicemail messages for Eric, the manager, but as of yet I have not received a return call or response to my email. It appears the lack of customer service is top down. Very disappointed, would not recommend, first impressions are lasting and this was awful!

Sitting here waiting for a staff memeber to show up at the desk to checknis in! Its 10pm.

Arrived late due to airline delays. Clerk could not find reservation at first. As we are standing bags in hand asked if we had checked in already. Strange since i just told him we had a reservation and were just arriving. He then proceeded to give us a key to an occupied room. Embarrassing to us and person in room. After returning to front desk, clerk says he will accompany us to new room to insure it's vacant. Rather than him opening the door he had us do it possibly exposing us to another embarrassing moment. Poor customer service after a long late day of travel.

It was extremely comfortable but I found the staff at the breakfast bar extremely rude. They yelled at customers for being in the way and when one guy was getting waffle batter, they actually yellled at him that they were refilling it. Very unfriendly.

Everything about the hotel was very good except for the breakfast. The breakfast offered few choices and was very unappetizing. but, as I said the hotel was very good.

I thought the hot breakfast was good. The room was clean and super location.

I stayed 6 nights on a work trip. There were no towels for showering when I arrived, had to request them. My room was only serviced 2x. The dresser drawers don’t stay shut. Had no issues with the staff, room was clean and the breakfast was decent.
