Really good location. Convenient on property parking. Old school motel, but very nicely and recently remodeled. Room had everything we needed. Holly at the front desk had lots of great info and tips for things to do.

Great location, walking distance to loads of venues, bars and restaurants. Great staff and spacious rooms with comfy beds and updated bathrooms. Need to improve the landscaping/ common area.

The location of the property was the best! Easy to walk to the river, restaurants and shops. The hotel could use some hanging flower baskets and clean up the grass area in the center of the parking lot. It would make a HUGE difference in its appearance. The staff was EXCELLENT and even at one point, asked if I was okay because my allergies were causing my nose to run. They listened when I asked questions, and assisted when I need help. I would definitely stay here again!

This is a very basic motel. What was upsetting was they charged a $10 resort fee. I mean happy to pay a resort fee at a resort but there are zero amenities here. How do they justify charging a resort fee??

Property was clean, location near bus stop was convenient for free transportation to ski area, and cost was reasonable for Steamboat. Parking right next to room door was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

Convenient close to shopping and dining quiet area , they have done some remodeling but it lacks a little as far as amenities , staff is very friendly and helpful , not a bad place to stay .. B.Sutton

Our room was not clean. The floor felt like it was covered in dirt and sand. We found a full marijuana gummy tin and used kleenex under the beds. Our window that opened to the alley had been left unlocked. The alley area was very unkept and overgrown. The safe in the room is just sitting on the floor, so could easily be carried off (it's not heavy). There are no closet doors so the refrigerator, with the microwave on top of it, is sitting in the closet. The beds were nice, clean, and comfortable. The outside of the property does need to be cleaned up. . Overall, I felt it is very overpriced for the type/style and amenities.

Found a wet, dirty washcloth in the bathroom. Nice sitting area outside with picnic tables.

Really nice stay! We were pleasantly surprised how nice our room was , the towels were thick and smelled clean, the bed linens soft and clean , we appreciated the tile floor since hotel is pet friendly, mini fridge (no freezer) , microwave, and a small Keurig maker. We were worried of the traffic noise (right on Lincoln) but once the front door shut, it was peacefully quiet. The room was clean and modern decor. My only minor complaint would be the blackout shade in the bathroom area didn’t cover the window and the sun woke us earlier than we would have liked. We stayed two nights, and brought our dog. We would definitely recommend and would stay at the Western Lodge again .

The most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in a hotel! The location is right on the bus line to the mountain and within walking distance to everything downtown. Great value!

Get the front of the property looking better, you will have a 10/10 property. The property had No Vacancy the Monday/Tuesday night we were there, So book in advance. Eat at The Laundry around the corner. Win Win.

Road noise is significant, especially with early morning snowplows and garbage pickup. Staff was friendly, especially Monica at the front desk. Our shower handle fell off on day one of a 4 night stay and still wasn’t fixed by the time we left, but shower still worked. For one of the most inexpensive hotels in town, it was great. Clean, and a comfortable bed.

Modern Fitouts and very functional

Loved the hotel, but will never book through Expedia again Staff was great, and offered us a refund due to not having WiFi, however Expedia refused to cancel and refund our $217 fee only if we paid Expedia a fee of $125 for the cancellation This cancellation fee would’ve gone to Expedia, not the hotel that would’ve had a last minute cancellation Please book through hotel directly and NOT thru expedia

We really enjoyed our stay! Room was clean and so comfortable! The upgrades to this place are really great...modern, clean lines...like new!!

It’s kind of strange that after 8 o’clock, you can’t find anybody

We arrived at 8:03 after calling and informing the staff on duty that we going to arrive after hours. Staff stated that they would wait for us. When we arrived the lobby was unlocked and no one was there to service us. There was a sign that stated to call the number on file. We called multiple times and the phone just rang while we were in the lobby. After 35 mins later someone arrived. She was rude when we explained that we were waiting in the lobby for that long. She hands us a key and says that we are in one room and then stated that it was actually another room number. When we arrived to the room the key didn’t work, went to the other room she mentioned still didn’t work. We went back to the lobby and she stated that it was the right key, so she grabbed another key and went to the room. Sure enough the other key she grabbed when we went back was the correct one. Meanwhile she gave us the wrong key, she was irritated with us as if we were asking for too much. The whole interaction was as if staff was under the influence. When we arrived in the room, the shower floor was filthy and us being scared to complain again. I hope for the next visitors don’t have to deal with what we had to deal with. I will be contacting the owners regarding this.

The room was very cold. I called the front desk about the heater and nobody answered. I also went to the front desk but they were no where to be found. It was in the low 20s and windy last night. I had to put a towel under the door to keep the air from coming in. Will not stay here again.

The staff are all SO FRIENDLY! We were made to feel right at home the minute we arrived. They really helped make the stay feel special, and we'll definitely stay at Western Lodge again next time we're in Steamboat.

Sadly when I checked in, they didn't have my reservation and the clerk seemed frazzled, even though I had emails from the hotel confirming my stay and "looking forward to my arrival." They were still able to get me a room but it took way too long time to check in after a long trip. Even at peak season the cost of this stay was not worth it!

Very nice updated hotel in downtown Steamboat. very close to shops and restaurants. Excellent location and the price was very reasonable. I would stay there again.

I felt very safe here. It was so convenient to restaurants, bars and shopping. The free bus stop was very close as well. I was able to take the bus to the main ski resort area for entertainment too. The room was nice for an older motel that got a basic refresh. I didn't like the tv system. Too many chanels i would never watch and couldn't find channels I wanted to watch. The bed was very comfortable. The a/c worked well too. The shower had amazingly water pressure from the rain showerhead. The frig was cold and the microwave was helpful. I would definitely stay again because the value for the price was good. There are many other options, but this was a good motel for my budget.
