Inn On The River

We had a great stay!! Staff was great! Beds were very comfortable! Breakfast was great!!!

The property at The Inn On The River was very nice, clean, and well maintained. The bathroom was especially impressive with excellent water pressure, and overall the room itself was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating, although at times a bit peculiar in their interactions. The biggest disappointment was that the room I booked felt very misrepresented. There was no TV at all in the room, which was not what I expected. In addition, the room was extremely close to the main street, and the traffic noise made it feel almost like sleeping outside on the sidewalk. The window treatments also lacked blackout shades, so there was no real way to darken the room for sleeping. Overall, the property has a lot of charm and potential, but due to the room issues and noise level, I ended up checking out early.

It was the perfect getaway to actually get away. I would highly recommend.

The Inn on the River is centrally located in Glen Rose's historic downtown, so rather than being in a hotel on the noisy Hwy 67, you get a more relaxing stay. The Inn is also a quiet oasis because its property slopes down to the Paluxy river. Its restaurant and bar are another nice feature. If you travel with a pet, then you can find a no more dog-friendly place than The Inn on the River.

Amazing staff and stay! The room was very cute and clean. The location is the best being directly on the river and walking distance to everything in town. The homemade breakfast every morning was amazing. So convenient that there is a restaurant and bar on site that makes great cocktails. Owner and staff were very accommodating to request and needs. Looking forward to returning.
