Su iniciativa de poner filtros de agua y cilindros en vez de botellas de agua, es lo mejor de este hotel. Pienso que los demas hoteles deberian replicar esta iniciativa pues ayuda bastante al medio ambiente y la comodidad. El hotel no tiene suficientes camastros y sombrillas para todos los huéspedes, la comida de los bufete y el room service esta fria por lo que recomiendo ir a los restaurantes de especialidades en donde la comida si es deliciosa y tienen la mejor de las atenciones. Este hotel no cuenta con sombrillas y castros en la playa, solo dentro de sus instalaciones. La atencion en general es inmejorable, son muy atentos y muy amables todo el personal y sus actividades son muy originales y entretenidas, asi como las instalaciones son impecables en la higiene y limpieza Creo que es un buen hotel pero los detalles que tienen es lo que lo opaca, ojala pudieran cambiar eso ya que son cosas muy pequeñas que con la atencion adecuada se pueden solucionar.

Overall we had a really nice stay at Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta. Our first room had some issues, but the manager was quick to help and moved us right away, which we really appreciated. The staff was very accommodating. The only thing I’d recommend improving is the kids’ pool—some parts were missing and uncovered, which could be unsafe. I mentioned it to staff and suggested either covering or removing them to avoid accidents.

The place was super nice, very luxurious feel. The nicer restaurants do have extremely long wait times, so we didn't get a chance to try the ones we wanted during our weeklong trip. The place did appear clean but there were a lot of bugs, including a roach infestation in one of the indoor buffets. The day time employees were amazing, they all were super sweet and did their best. Room service is iffy though, there was an issue with our order every single night. There was the language barrier so I understood some of the confusion, but at one point they just didn't bring the food up at all after saying they would. Overall great experience, aside from the hiccups, the in-person service was extremely nice even though the room service at night was mediocre at best. I probably wouldn't go back mainly because of the language barrier but that part was completely understandable.

I would never stay at this place again. Please stay away. I got food poisoning so bad! I tried to go see their doctor that they have on the facility and I was first told it would be 800 Mexican pesos and when I got there the doctor himself tried charging be 215.00 USD plus the medication. This is ridiculous after I got sick from your facility! The bath and pool towels stink like no other the smell is bad! The cleaning people do not even take the time to clean the rooms. Not a good place to stay.

As we walked into the hotel, we had an awesome view to the beach with a turquoise color. Our room was great !! Clean and spotless. A small water leak issue in are first night but, was taken care off wright away. All the staff members we met were very polite and helpful. Food was great ! As well.

We have traveled to Puerto Vallarta many times in the last few years but this time for our honeymoon we chose this hotel based on the access to a beautiful beach. I have never been so disappointed in any hotel or rental or tent in the woods I have slept in. From clumps of hair in the lobbies to murky pools to dried blood on the bed sheets, this place has it all. This is a popular family destination so understandably there is a lot of ongoing noise but holding hotel entertainment events all night and hosting wedding dance parties each weekend night when all balconies face the location of the weddings was a little exhausting. The food in buffet and restaurant was sometimes leftovers from the day before. Days prior to check out, we request late checkout and were told it would cost around 400 pesos per person to check out at 2pm instead of 11am and we agreed to this. The day of checkout, we were locked out of our room at noon, spent 30 minutes waiting for the front desk to talk to us to be able to get back into the room. We anticipated the checkout line would take even longer so we got our stuff and got in the checkout line at 1pm, we were ignored and stood there waiting for almost an hour. We were then told the late check out fee was over 2000 pesos, that the 400 per person we were told the day before was just for food (nothing was mentioned about this at all until now). I was told “only 413 pesos were wasted if you were in line only an hour”. We paid and got out. total scam

This is a smaller resort in a great location, perfect if you want a combination of going into PV town or exploring the south zone beaches and taking bus & water taxi to beaches that are not accessible by road, such as Yelapa and Quimixto. Catching bus is cheap (10 pesos) & easy right outside hotel. Room was clean & spacious, with lovely beach and sunset view and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the shade on the beach, never got a lounge chair around the pool as all taken and we preferred the beach, sand was soft but ocean too rough to swim, pool bar service was slow, the lobby bar was better. We liked the water bottle refill station on each floor. Good food at buffet, lots of choices. Restaurants were good too and no reservations but you had to wait to get a table unless you show up right when they opened at 6:30. Reception a bit slow at check in and out, we had an evening flight home and although we had to check out at noon, we were able to leave our luggage and keep bracelets on until 2:00pm. Also we loved that our bracelets were also the room key. Entertainment was good.

Limited direct sun in pool area as property faces north. Direct sun on roof patio but at an additional cost if $700pesos per person/day. VERY unsafe beach - high violent surf and steep grade on beach with wicked undertow. Food is awful and I’m not a picky eater - caters primarily to Mexican tastes. Hotel and rooms very nice and very clean

We arrived late evening and the front desk reception, Brenda, was so welcoming. The ambience was really nice with the midnight breeze through the open air lobby. Initial impression was excellent. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable although hard. It was quiet but far from "sound proof". We had a Premium King room. Room service was a real let down, cold fries and club sandwich we didn't eat much of. The ocean view and marine life made it a joy to just sit on the deck and relax. The balcony light on bright all evening until 10:30pm really took away from the enjoyment of using it in the evening. Restaurant food was okay. Overall selection was good and the fruits were fresh. The rooftop lunch was an exception, the food was really good. The mahi mahi tostads where very refreshing. Our servers were good at their job but only Orlando, the outside patio breakfast server made us feel appreciated by engaging with us a bit. Overall we had a great relaxing week. This is not a 5 star resort. It is a solid 3 star. The attention to detail is lacking and the quality just isn’t 5 star. That being said, it is a nice all inclusive resort with a great beach. If you are traveling without children we recommend getting access to to the rooftop deck. It was nice and quiet with lots of sun and available shade. Would we go back? Yes, if we were in the area again.

It was a good resort. Having said that the beds were double which means you may have limited space sleeping beside your partner. Not all drinks available during your lunch and dinner and you have to ask waiters specifically to bring them for you plus net was very bad in rooms. The pool wasn’t very clean as well. La atención del personal no es la mejor, los colchones son muy aguados. Las habitaciones son muy espaciosas y limpias. Al área de las albercas le da el sol hasta después de las 4:30 de la tarde así que si eres muy friolenta puede ser un punto.importante a considerar La vista al mar es muy bonita, sin embargo considera que es complicado para niños meterse porque es profunda el área y peligrosa, siempre tienen la bandera roja.

Please be ware that the room deals’ hotels.com have with them are certain type of rooms, ones with no views. If you want a view you have to upgrade it with a cost. The food was just okay, restaurants on property are decent enough, def not 4 or 5 stars dining. Breakfast was good probably the only meal we enjoyed. It seems that the hotel is always hosting outside parties, at least every night we were there, events were held. BUT if you’re looking for a decent place to stay with a nice private beach and unlimited alcohol this one is for you. Staffs are friendly.

We recently stayed at Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta, and overall, it was a very average experience that did not justify the price we paid. The staff was generally kind and tried to be helpful, but many of them struggled with English. That being said, we were able to communicate one way or another, so it was manageable. The international buffet was very disappointing — the food lacked flavor and variety. In contrast, the Italian and Mexican à la carte restaurants were actually quite good and offered much better dining experiences. The Equinox bar upstairs was also a nice spot. Our room was clean, which we appreciated. However, room service through the app was unreliable — on some occasions, our orders were forgotten completely. The worst part of the stay was definitely the Wi-Fi. It didn’t work in the room at all for the majority of our stay, which was a big problem for me as I needed stable internet for work. I reported this issue several times, but no real solution was offered. The Wi-Fi only started working properly on our last day, possibly due to some maintenance, but by then the damage was already done. For the price of around 320 CAD per night, this resort is not worth it. If you find a deal for around 200–250 CAD, it might be acceptable, but I personally wouldn’t return. I honestly wish we had chosen a different hotel — I left feeling quite disappointed.

Overall stay is good , just food quality is 3 out of 5 . Restaurant’ wait time was over 2 hours every night with very little options to go to . Most of the time the buffet was the only option .snack bar food was always cold , very stale fries and wouldn’t make fresh ones until stale ones were finished . Hay muy poco personal, los empleados están de malas, un día completo estuve pidiendo que hicieran la limpieza y nunca fueron a pesar de que tenía el letrero de arreglar la habitación, el viernes cerraron todos los restaurantes y tenías que hacer filas eternas para que te sentaran en mesas con gente que no conoces se acabó la comida y no resurtieron muchos tuvimos que pedir servicio al cuarto porque si no te quedabas sin cenar , el servicio al cuarto te lo llevan todo frío , y 2 días seguidos que pedí toallas en la alberca decían que no había que volviera en una hora . En los bares solo una persona para atender a todos por lo que te niega muchas bebidas para ahorrar tiempo , muy decepcionante la verdad

BAD, BAD, BAD! I only put 5 stars so this review doesn’t get erased and people really get to know how horrible the service at this hotel is. *Restaurants suck! Wait is always over 1 hour and you can’t make a reservation. *pools are old and deep, deep. And only one entrance to pool. *snack bar personnel suck! They ignore people so they don’t have to serve you. *lobby staff are not organized. They gave our reserved rooms to someone else and kept saying they didn’t have anymore rooms. *Room service… always wrong, missing items, and they never have what the menu suggest. Buenas noches, Se hizo la reservación de una habitación family Suite con 2 camas matrimoniales y 2 sofá cama, para 2 adultos y 2 menores de 10 y 7 años, quedando debidamente pagado. Al llegar al hotel el 05 de septiembre de 2025, aproximadamente a las 21:30 horas, cansados y con hambre, nos reciben en recepción con la sorpresa que hay una "discrepancia" en la reserva y que a ellos les aparece como infantes. Me hacen pagar un excedente de $2,400.00 por los menores y después de una hora, aproximadamente a las 22:30 horas nos entregan la habitación 323 y me dicen que me comunique a mi agencia (expedia) para recibir un supuesto reembolso. Para continuar, no era una habitación family suite como estaba reservado, la que nos dieron tenía únicamente 2 camas matrimoniales, llamé a recepción y simplemente me dijeron: "le aviso si hay disponibilidad". Quiero hacer una mención HONORIFICA al personal de botones, baristas y meseros, muy buen servicio. Los de la recepción y administrativos ESTÁN PARA LLORAR, muy mal, les falta capacitación. Al final, en el check out, no obstante que se generó un cargo adicional de 2,400 pesos, por causas no atribuibles al suscrito, me comentaron que NO me darían salida si no pagaba un excedente que rondaba los 1,000 pesos. El personal tiene un pésimo servicio y pésimo trato. A excepción de esmeralda del kids club ella tiene un excelente trato y muy amable y el mesero Alejandro y Antonio fueron los únicos amables, desde que llegamos a recepción hasta salir del hotel el personal en general a pesar de que uno les pedía las cosas amablemente y con una sonrisa hasta te ignoraban y eran groseros! De verdad que fue una súper mala experiencia con su personal.

Concierge is so focused on selling you the timeshare that he didn't care about the multiple issues during our stay. It is a shame that such a beautiful beach and decent amenities suffer from such a bad service. Check-in took almost an hour and another hour to get the room ready, too many people at front desk doing nothing. The hotel rules are not clear on Expedia listing, like the pool hours and the all-inclusive restaurant options that have limited seating. The pool, gym, beach are kept in very good condition, but rooms, balconies, and the restaurants need improvement like working air conditioning and no ceiling leaks (rainy season). The hotel is located 40 to 60 mins from Airport and Malecón.

The beach was nice, small but nice. Although it didn’t get good sun till late in the afternoon. The rooftop lounge and pool helped. The food was good, but it would have been nice to have one more option. Some restaurants were only open for dinner and the snack bar by the pool had the same thing every day. Hot dogs and burgers.

This was our first trip to Peurto Vallarta. The Grand Park Royal is in a beautiful spot (10 min by cab) to the Zona Romantica. We were able to climb thr beach boulders for 35 min to Playa Paredon and we walked to Los Arcos, finding a quiet beach along the way with no one else there. Thr hotel itself is well.positioned with all rooms looking over the beach and ocean. We watched whales breaching in the morning while sipping coffee on our balcony. We swam, floated and enjoyed the salty surf in the afternoons. Every night offers different types of entertainment and the only downside to this is that you cant escape the loud music and excited screams of other guests. After 11pm all was quiet again so its only a small inconvenience. If you are looking for quiet, adults only there is a rooftop patio and pool (more $$) otherwise youre stuck with a variety of familes and loud entertainment during the afternoons. The food was decent (some days better than others) the staff was amazing and friendly. In room coffee wasnt available because the resort couldnt get the nespresso pods they needed, but the cafe had everything we needed. Bring a hairdryer... they dont supply them or just live with wet hair all day every day. If i was the kind of person who liked repetitive holidays I would go back!

It was a nice stay. The sun doesn’t hit the lounge chairs til about 2pm. Nice variety of food. Staff were fun. Not a long beach and couldn’t walk it at times due to waves, but it was their winter. No shuttle from the airport and got sucked into going to a time share presentation…. Made the best of it as we were there for 2 weeks.

This is a smaller resort in a great location, perfect if you want a combination of going into PV town or exploring the south zone beaches and taking bus & water taxi to beaches that are not accessible by road, such as Yelapa and Quimixto. Catching bus is cheap (10 pesos) & easy right outside hotel. Room was clean & spacious, with lovely beach and sunset view and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the shade on the beach, never got a lounge chair around the pool as all taken and we preferred the beach, sand was soft but ocean too rough to swim, pool bar service was slow, the lobby bar was better. We liked the water bottle refill station on each floor. Good food at buffet, lots of choices. Restaurants were good too and no reservations but you had to wait to get a table unless you show up right when they opened at 6:30. Reception a bit slow at check in and out, we had an evening flight home and although we had to check out at noon, we were able to leave our luggage and keep bracelets on until 2:00pm. Also we loved that our bracelets were also the room key. Entertainment was good.

What I didn’t like — the food was incredibly bland, there are no lounge chairs actually on the beach and you have to get downstairs about 6:30 in the morning to get a chair by the pool that’s facing the beach. And it’s entirely too far from town. The food and the distance to town are probably deal breakers for me although my husband, who views food solely as fuel, may feel differently.

The room was nice but the facilities overall seemed neglected. Food was terrible (I'm picky, but there were times I could find NOTHING to eat.) Food info is hard to find. they don't tell you before you go but most of the restaurants have a dress code. We didn't bring the right clothes so we were limited to one restaurant. I didn't realize when we booked but it's at least 30 minutes into town. Seemed like a lot of local people from Mexico stayed there and lots of families.

The property was beautiful. I thought the staff could have been friendlier. The seafood restaurant was the best on the property, the rest of the restaurants were just ok. I would most likely not go back to this property. I would stay closer to downtown.

The place was super nice, very luxurious feel. The nicer restaurants do have extremely long wait times, so we didn't get a chance to try the ones we wanted during our weeklong trip. The place did appear clean but there were a lot of bugs, including a roach infestation in one of the indoor buffets. The day time employees were amazing, they all were super sweet and did their best. Room service is iffy though, there was an issue with our order every single night. There was the language barrier so I understood some of the confusion, but at one point they just didn't bring the food up at all after saying they would. Overall great experience, aside from the hiccups, the in-person service was extremely nice even though the room service at night was mediocre at best. I probably wouldn't go back mainly because of the language barrier but that part was completely understandable.

The room was nice but the facilities overall seemed neglected. Food was terrible (I'm picky, but there were times I could find NOTHING to eat.) Food info is hard to find. they don't tell you before you go but most of the restaurants have a dress code. We didn't bring the right clothes so we were limited to one restaurant. I didn't realize when we booked but it's at least 30 minutes into town. Seemed like a lot of local people from Mexico stayed there and lots of families.

Comida rica, servicio excelente, limpieza muy bien y diariamente, el trato de todo el personal servicial y muy amables. Fue una super sorpresa saber que hoteles en algunos de sus habitaciones incluye el costo/pago de la azotea (solo para adultos), sin duda un lugar de relajación dentro del todo incluído. En general es una muy buena experiencia que sin duda regresaría. Ahora los puntos de mejora, el internet no llega a todo el hotel, sería bueno tener repetidores, lo hablo desde el punto que me surgieron necesidades de poder realizar llamadas via web y por esto mismo no pude realizarlas. El ofrecimiento del club que el hotel maneja es un poco tardado, solo ser sincero con el tiempo que estoy lleva, nos comentaron que sería 1 hora y termino siendo 2 hrs y media, si se dice desde el principio no le veo problema llevar la plática.

BAD, BAD, BAD! I only put 5 stars so this review doesn’t get erased and people really get to know how horrible the service at this hotel is. *Restaurants suck! Wait is always over 1 hour and you can’t make a reservation. *pools are old and deep, deep. And only one entrance to pool. *snack bar personnel suck! They ignore people so they don’t have to serve you. *lobby staff are not organized. They gave our reserved rooms to someone else and kept saying they didn’t have anymore rooms. *Room service… always wrong, missing items, and they never have what the menu suggest. Facilities 4/5, room 5/5, cleanliness 4/5, beach 2/5 (no sun until 4pm, tiny sand space, no chairs), food 0/0. Seriously, food was pathetic. They ran out (!!) of food on multiple occasions. They advertise as having 5 restaurants but only 1 or 2 are open each meal. Food selection absolutely the worst, cold meals, 2 hour wait to sit. Do not go if you expect to eat decent food in a decent amount of wait time. We have been to many all inclusives in Mexico and by far this one has the worst food. They have a rooftop bar and pool where we hid everyday, since there were no chairs at the main pools whatsoever, and the bar service and booze selection at the main pools downstairs were a joke.

Don’t bother booking at Grand Park Royal unless you’re staying in the New Tower. My Son’s experience in the Old Tower was absolutely terrible. The room had significant mold issues, including mold around the air conditioning unit and even inside the curtains. The outdated A/C system appeared to create constant condensation, which seemed to circulate mold throughout the room. We reported the problem to several staff members. Rather than moving us to another room, maintenance simply started painting over the affected areas. Despite repeatedly requesting a room change, we were told there were no alternatives available. The situation became so concerning that we had no choice but to leave the hotel and pay for accommodations elsewhere for two nights of our week stay while the paint fumes and mold issues were addressed. What makes this even more disappointing is that I had recommended this resort to my son, daughter-in-law, and their three children because the beach is beautiful and well maintained. I never expected them to encounter what I believe are serious health concerns in the Old Tower. The beach is great, but the condition of the Old Tower is unacceptable. It is outdated and appears to be in desperate need of major restoration and remediation. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend avoiding rooms in the Old Tower until these issues are properly addressed. Awful experience. Very disappointing. Can not believe allowing their rooms be rsrvd.causing healthConcerns.

The food, hotel and experience was by no means what we expected and not in the good way. It definitely seemed like reviews were skewed, however there were some amazing people we met on the trip and tried to make the best out of the time were there. Do not recommend nor will will we be staying under this hotel brand again.
